Abstract: Provided is a system for allocating a radio resource. The system for allocating a radio resource may include a macro base station, a macro terminal, and a femto base station. The femto base station may allocate a radio resource for transmitting a control channel to a femto terminal, and transmit information of the allocated radio resource to the macro base station. The macro base station may allocate a radio resource for transmitting a control channel to the macro terminal in relation to the received information of the radio resource.

Abstract: Provided are a transmitter and a method for transmitting a data block in a wireless communication system. The method comprises the following steps: encoding an information bit and generating a block coded with an NCBPSS bit; generating two sub-blocks by parsing the coded block; and transmitting the two sub-blocks to the transmitter. By preventing the bits that are contiguous to the encoding block from having continuous identical reliabilities on a signal constellation, the deterioration of the decoding performance of the transmitter can be prevented.

Abstract: Control of humidity in chemical reactors, and associated systems and methods, are generally described. In certain embodiments, the humidity within gas transport conduits and chambers can be controlled to inhibit unwanted condensation within gas transport pathways. By inhibiting condensation within gas transport pathways, clogging of such pathways can be limited (or eliminated) such that transport of gas can be more easily and controllably achieved. In addition, strategies for purging condensed liquid from chemical reactor systems are also described.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an ionization chamber with a built-in temperature sensor, which is especially adapted for devices, such as X-ray units, gamma irradiators and linear accelerators, whichever is used for performing radiation dose output measurement accordingly. In an embodiment, the ionization chamber comprises: a cavity, an inner electrode, a chamber wall, an outer electrode, a guard electrode and a calibrated temperature sensor for detecting real-time temperature inside the cavity of ionization chamber to be used in the correction process of radiation dose measurement signals. With the aforesaid device, not only the accuracy of measurement can be improved effectively, but also the time consumed in a radiation dose measurement period can be reduced greatly since it will no longer bear the disadvantage that the radiation dose measurement has to wait until the temperatures inside and outside the cavity of ionization chamber had reached a thermal equilibrium before the measurement.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a low-cost digital predistortion apparatus using envelope detection feedback. The low-cost digital predistortion apparatus includes a digital predistortion unit and an envelope detection feedback unit. The digital predistortion unit converts the output of a predistorter into analog signals, frequency-modulates the analog signals into a pass band signal, and amplifies the frequency-modulated signal via a power amplifier. The envelope detection feedback unit converts the difference between the input and output of the power amplifier of the digital predistortion unit and the output of the power amplifier into baseband signals, respectively, converts the baseband signals into digital signals, estimates the nonlinear distortion characteristic output of the power amplifier, calculates a predistortion parameter that is used to compensate for the estimated nonlinear distortion characteristic output of the power amplifier.

Abstract: A dye-sensitized solar cell is provided, wherein it can be produced by a relatively easy and simple process and ensures high conversion efficiency even in cases where the thickness of the porous semiconductor layer is increased. The dye-sensitized solar cell 10 includes, in the interior of or on the conductive-substrate-side surface of the porous semiconductor layer 16, conductive metal film 20, such as a film of tungsten, having a large number of randomly located penetrations 24. Penetrations 24 of the conductive metal film 20 are formed by forming a fine-particle layer on the surface of the porous semiconductor layer, forming a conductive metal film on the surface of the fine-particle layer, and making the fine-particle layer disappear by heating or solvent-cleaning.
