    Abstract: Disclosed are an artificial sensory nervous circuit and a manufacturing method thereof. The artificial sensory nervous circuit includes a sensor (S), a first memristor (RS), and a neuron circuit, where the first memristor (RS) has a unidirectional resistance characteristic. The sensor (S) is configured to sensing an external signal and generating an excitation signal according to the external signal. The first memristor (RS) is configured to generating a response signal according to the excitation signal. The neuron circuit is configured to perform charging and discharging according to the response signal so as to output a pulse signal. With the artificial sensory nervous circuit and the manufacturing method thereof, sensitivity and habituation characteristics of biological perception are realized by using a simple circuit.

A method for detecting a moment described by a sentence query in a video includes dividing an input video into units of chunks and generating a chunk-level feature sequence based on features that are extracted in a form of vectors from respective chunks, dividing an input sentence query into units of words and generating a sentence-level feature sequence based on features that are extracted in a form of vectors from respective words, generating a chunk-sentence relation feature sequence including contextual information of the video by extracting a relation between the chunk-level feature sequence and the sentence-level feature sequence, and estimating a temporal interval corresponding to the sentence query in the video based on the chunk-sentence relation feature sequence.

    Abstract: A reconstruction method of a three-dimensional (3D) human body model includes: acquiring, by a fully convolutional network (FCN) module, a global UVI map and a local UVI map of a body part according to a human body image (S1); estimating, by a first neural network, a camera parameter and a shape parameter of the human body model based on the global UVI map (S2); extracting, by a second neural network, rotation features of joints of a human body based on the local UVI map (S3); refining, by using a position-aided feature refinement strategy, the rotation features of the joints of the human body to acquire refined rotation features (S4); and estimating, by a third neural network, a pose parameter of the human body model based on the refined rotation features (S5). The reconstruction method achieves accurate and efficient reconstruction of the human body model, and improves robustness of pose estimation.

    Abstract: One embodiment provides a method of sound source enumeration and direction of arrival (DoA) estimation. The method, the method includes estimating, by an enumeration module, a number of sound sources associated with an acoustic signal. The estimating includes selecting a specific parametric model from a generalized model. The generalized model is related to a microphone array architecture used to capture the acoustic signal. The method further includes estimating, by a DoA module, a direction of arrival of each sound source of the number of sound sources based, at least in part, on the selected model. The estimating the number of sound sources and estimating the DoA of each sound source are performed using a Bayesian framework.

    Abstract: A nickel-iron catalytic material, a preparation method thereof, and a use thereof in the hydrogen production through water electrolysis and the preparation of a liquid solar fuel (LSF) are provided. The nickel-iron catalytic material is prepared by using a soluble iron salt as a raw material and growing on a modified nickel substrate under mild conditions, and the nickel-iron catalytic material can be used in the industrial alkaline water electrolysis under harsh conditions. The nickel-iron catalytic material includes a nickel metal substrate and a catalytically-active layer with iron and nickel. When used to promote a water splitting reaction, the nickel-iron catalytic material can reduce the energy consumption per m3 of hydrogen production through industrial alkaline water electrolysis from 4.4 kWh to 4.01 kWh, thereby increasing the conversion of solar energy to methanol by 9.7%.

This method obviates the need for a lifelong regimen of immunosuppressive agents which can increase the risk of infection, autoimmunity, and cancer. Immunological tolerance is thought to be mediated by regulatory T lymphocytes (Treg cells) with immunosuppressive capabilities. A therapeutically relevant platform comprising artificial constructs are contemplated comprising numerous soluble and surface bound Treg cell stimulating factors that may induce tolerance following allograft transplantation. Such artificial constructs, being the size of a cell, have surface bound monoclonal antibodies specific to regulatory T-cell surface moieties and encapsulated soluble regulatory T-cell modulating factors.
