Abstract: Disclosed are a method of encoding a high band of an audio, a method of decoding a high band of an audio, and an encoder and a decoder for performing the methods. The method of decoding a high band of an audio, the method performed by a decoder, includes identifying a parameter extracted through a first neural network, identifying side information extracted through a second neural network, and restoring a high band of an audio by applying the parameter and the side information to a third neural network.

Abstract: A phased array includes, in part, M×N photonic chips each of which includes, in part, an array of transmitters and an array of receivers. At least one of M and/or N is an integer greater than one. The transmitter arrays in each pair of adjacent photonics chips are spaced apart by a first distance and the receiver arrays in each pair of adjacent photonics chips are spaced apart by a second distance. The first and second distances are co-prime numbers. Optionally, at least a second subset of the M×N photonic chips is formed by rotating a first subset of the M×N photonic chips.
Abstract: A robot system includes a holding compartment configured to transport one or more items and an electronic control unit having a processor and a non-transitory computer readable memory including a machine-readable instruction set. The robot system further includes a camera for capturing image data of an environment of the holding compartment and a robotic arm each communicatively coupled to the electronic control unit. The machine-readable instruction set causes the processor to receive image data of the environment of the holding compartment from the camera, determine a set of handling instructions for an item collected by the robotic arm, determine a location within the holding compartment for placing the item collected by the robotic arm based on the image data of the environment of the holding compartment and the set of handling instructions, and manipulate the robotic arm to place the item within the holding compartment at the determined location.
Abstract: A semiconductor device according to the present invention is formed by a plurality of semiconductor chips laminated on a substrate which are connected via a through electrode penetrating in a lamination direction, in which the plurality of semiconductor chips include first semiconductor chips 104 each having memory blocks and a decoder and a second semiconductor chip having a logic circuit, the logic circuit includes one selection circuit connected to the decoder of all the first semiconductor chips 104 and configured to select addresses of a first memory block 106A that stops input/output and a second memory block 106B that performs input/output instead among the plurality of memory blocks, and the addresses of the selected first memory block 106A and the selected second memory block 106B are each common to all the first semiconductor chips.

Abstract: Described is a method and device for detecting a discontinuous transmission state (DTX) at an uplink control information (UCI) receiver device in a wireless communication system. Abstract: Resonant optical cavities incorporating black phosphorus to enable electrically tunable control of light are disclosed. Methods and devices are described that use black phosphorus as an electrically tunable optical material to control phase, amplitude and/or polarization of light from visible to mid-infrared wavelengths. The operating wavelength of the optical cavities depends on the thickness of the embedded black phosphorous. Tunable control of light is performed by adjusting the doping level of black phosphorous.

Abstract: The present invention provides novel scaffolded HIV-1 vaccine immunogens. Some of the scaffolded immunogens contain a soluble gp140 trimer linked to the N-terminus of the nanoparticle subunit and a T-helper epitope that is fused via a short peptide spacer to the C-terminus of the nanoparticle subunit. Some other immunogens of the invention contain a soluble gp140 trimer protein that is linked to a stable nanoparticle via a short peptide spacer that is a T-helper epitope. Some of the scaffolded immunogens contain a gp140 trimer immunogen presented on a nanoparticle platform formed with I3-01 protein, E2p, or variants of protein 1VLW. Also provided in the invention are nucleic acids that encode the various vaccine immunogens described herein, and expression vectors and host cells harboring the nucleic acids. The invention further provides methods of using the scaffolded HIV-1 vaccine immunogens for preventing or treating HIV infections.

Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention provides a quantization method for weights of a plurality of batch normalization layers, including: receiving a plurality of previously learned first weights of the plurality of batch normalization layers; obtaining first distribution information of the plurality of first weights; performing a first quantization on the plurality of first weights using the first distribution information to obtain a plurality of second weights; obtaining second distribution information of the plurality of second weights; and performing a second quantization on the plurality of second weights using the second distribution information to obtain a plurality of final weights, and thereby reducing an error that may occur when quantizing the weight of the batch normalization layer.
