  • Patent number: 11297069
Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for utilizing blockchain to implement named data networking. In various embodiments, a computing system might determine whether a cache that is communicatively coupled to the computing system contains data that is responsive to a first request received from a user. If so, the computing system might retrieve and send (to the client device) data that is responsive to the received first request. If not, the computing system might send, to a blockchain system, a second request for identifying a blockchain containing a block containing data responsive to the received first request. In response to identifying such a blockchain, the computing system might receive a copy of the identified blockchain; might abstract, from the identified blockchain, the block containing the data responsive to the received first request; might abstract the data from the identified block; and might send the data to the client device.

  • Publication number: 20220103615
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure relate to a distributed CDN comprised of CDN nodes that each have a compute engine and a data store. Compute engines may be used to execute software associated with computing functionality of the distributed CDN and may be reconfigured according to changing conditions to adapt computing functionality to current or expected demand. Nodes may communicate with one another via an overlay network. A node may determine whether it should process a request or generate a route via the overlay network to the remote node, thereby enabling the remote node to process the request. In another example, a node may receive a request for a compute resource that is not currently provided by the node. The compute engine of the node may be reconfigured to provide the compute resource, thereby enabling the node to service the request rather than redirect the request to a different node.

  • Publication number: 20220095013
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure relate to content delivery using distributed ledger and AI-based transcoding technologies. In examples, content is received by a content distribution network (CDN) from a content source. The content may be in a lower-quality or different format than is distributed via the CDN. Accordingly, a transcoding model is identified and used to transcode the content. Multiple transcoding models may be used for different content parts to adapt to changing content types (e.g., a sports subpart, an advertising subpart, etc.). Transcoding may occur at edge nodes, such that the original content is transmitted within the CDN, thereby conserving resources. Additionally, transcoded content may be cached, such that the content need not be transcoded in response to every request.

  • Publication number: 20220092079
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure relate to content delivery using distributed ledger and AI-based transcoding technologies. In examples, a content distribution network (CDN) receives content from a content source for distribution to client devices. A content record is generated for the content, which comprises a content hash for the content. The content record may be stored in a distributed ledger. A smart contract associated with the content may be generated, where the smart contract facilitates CDN analytics or accounting for CDN service payments, licensing fees, or royalty payments, among other examples. The smart contract may be associated with the content hash and may be executed based on any of a variety of triggers, such as content playback and/or distribution via the CDN.

  • Publication number: 20220092438
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure relate to metadata-assisted inventory management. Image data relating to a device is captured and further enriched with metadata, such as customer information, current event data, and/or log data associated with the device. The enriched image data may be processed by a decision engine to generate determinations based on the image data in combination with the metadata. For example, an equipment classification decision engine generates an equipment classification for telecommunications equipment therein. As another example, a cost modeling decision engine processes the enriched image data to evaluate a cost associated with the telecommunications equipment or a service evaluation decision engine may process the enriched image data to determine whether telecommunications equipment and/or an associated service are performing as expected.

  • Publication number: 20220086081
Abstract: A routing system can provide containerized router processes. The routing system can execute one or more router processes, e.g., the Border Gateway Protocol, the Access Control List, etc., in containers. Thus, the router processes can be upgraded, fail, etc. without affecting other router processes or the overall function of the router. When a router process is unavailable, requesting services may send messages to the container but may receive no response. To determine the availability of the router process, the requesting service may then request the status of the router process from a state database (statedb). The statedb can be a data store and interface that stores and reports the status of containers within the router. The statedb can reply to the requesting service as to whether the router process is available and/or with other information.

  • Patent number: 11277882
Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing intelligence enabled things (“IET”). In various embodiments, a first IET tag affixed to a first object among a plurality of objects might receive information regarding the first object and/or nearby objects. The first IET tag might determine a status of the first object and/or the nearby objects based at least partly on the received information and based at least partly on first data assigned to the first IET tag. The first IET tag might analyze the determined status to determine whether the determined status exceeds predetermined thresholds for normal parameters for the first object and/or the nearby objects. Based on a determination that the determined status exceeds predetermined thresholds for normal parameters for the first object and/or the nearby objects, the first IET tag might autonomously self-report to a computing system a state of the first object and/or the nearby objects.

  • Publication number: 20220060483
Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing data and source validation for equipment output data and/or for equipment failure predict. In various embodiments, in response to receiving a first request for first data that is output by first equipment, a computing system might retrieve and analyze the first data to determine whether the first data can be trusted. If so, the computing system might send the first data to the requesting device. If not, the computing system might send a second request for identifying a blockchain containing a block containing a copy of the first data. In response to the blockchain system identifying such a blockchain, the computing system might receive the identified blockchain; might abstract the block containing the copy of the first data from the identified blockchain; might abstract the first data from the block; and might send the first data to the requesting device.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing data storage and/or retrieval, and, more particularly, for implementing data associations. In various embodiments, an associations rules engine might query data aggregation data services to determine whether a first data object (which along with a first relationship rule that indicates a one-to-one relationship between the first data object and a corresponding second data object) is associated with one or more third data objects; might abstract the first data object, the first relationship rule, and the one or more third data objects; might update, in a metadata catalog, a catalog entry corresponding to the first data object with one or more associations among various data objects; and might provide a requesting computing system with access to the catalog entry corresponding to the first data object, the computing system performing one or more computational tasks using the associations stored in the catalog entry.

  • Patent number: 11252022
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe a testing framework for adaptive virtual services. In an example, a function vendor provides a network function having stated specifications to a service provider. A derived signature is generated for the network function (e.g., based on associated metadata, an image associated with the network function, and/or a network signature for the network function), which is used to classify the network function. The testing framework is used to test the network function according to its classification, thereby determining a set of capabilities. In examples, a network function having the same or similar signature as a previously tested network function may be categorized according to the previously tested network function. The network function is categorized according to its determined capabilities and added to an inventory of network functions for the service provider. Network functions in the inventory can then be selected to form a computer network.
