Specific examples of pre-set or pre-programmed arrangements are disclosed, as well as the ability to customize the arrangement. The access barring check may be for an access attempt that is associated with at least one of a first access category and a first access identity. The at least one of the first access category and the first access identity may be associated with a wireless device of a reduced capability type. Abstract: Disclosed herein is a light emitting device and method of manufacturing such a device comprised of a series of photopolymerizable, chiral liquid crystalline layers that can be solvent cast on a substrate. The mixture of chiral materials in each successive layer may be blended in such a way that each layer has the same chiral pitch. Further the chiral materials in each layer may also be blended so that the ordinary and extraordinary refractive indices in each layer match the other layers such that the complete assembly of layers will optically function as a single relatively thick layer of chiral liquid crystal. The chiral nematic material in each layer can spontaneously adopt a helical structure with a helical pitch. The light emitting layers of the light emitting device can further comprise electroluminescent material that emits light into the band edge light propagation modes of the photonic crystal.
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for mitigating water ingestion in a variable displacement engine. In one example, a method for a vehicle may comprise: with an engine of the vehicle turned on, responsive to detection of a water wading condition through which the vehicle is passing, operating the engine in a variable displacement engine (VDE) mode with a reduced number of cylinders of the engine activated and any cylinders in excess of the reduced number of cylinders deactivated. In this way, water ingestion into the cylinders of the engine and the resulting combustion instability may be avoided during the water wading conditions.

Abstract: A tailgate assembly for a vehicle includes, among other things, a frame sub-assembly that includes a driver side section, a passenger side section, and a connection member coupling the driver side section to the passenger side section. Abstract: Executing a query in a disaggregated cluster. A query is received at the disaggregated cluster. A query graph is created based on the query that identifies a hierarchy of vertices, where each vertex is associated with a set of data responsive to at least a portion of the query. The compute nodes process the query graph by first identifying all tables, files, and objects stored on the storage nodes whose access is required to retrieve data that satisfy the query. Next, the compute nodes selectively assign the identified tables, files, and objects to a leaf vertex of the query graph to optimize retrieving data from the storage nodes. Thereafter, the compute nodes process the retrieved data sets associated with each vertex using separate threads of execution for each vertex of the query graph such that leaf vertices are performed in parallel. The compute nodes then provide a result set.
