  • Patent number: 11326139
Abstract: A system for aerobic fermentation includes a vessel, an aeration system including a gas sparger fluidly coupled to the vessel to introduce a compressed gas to an internal volume of the vessel, and a recirculation loop fluidly coupled to an outlet of the vessel. The recirculation loop includes an eductor fluidly coupled to an oxygen-containing gas source, a static mixer downstream of the eductor, a heat exchanger downstream of the eductor, and a distributor downstream of the heat exchanger. The distributor is fluidly coupled to the vessel. The aeration system provides mixing and oxygen mass transfer to the fermentation composition in the vessel. The fermentation composition passes through the eductor, static mixer, heat exchanger, and distributor of the recirculation loop, and back into the vessel. Oxygen is transferred from an oxygen containing gas to the fermentation composition and heat is removed from the fermentation composition in the recirculation loop.

  • Patent number: 11328759
Abstract: Apparatuses and techniques are described for reading MRAM memory cells. In a cross-point memory array, each conductive line, such as a bit line or word line, is connected to a transistor pair comprising a pMOSFET in parallel with an nMOSFET. When selecting a memory cell to be read, a voltage of a first conductive line may be pulled up using the pMOSFET while a voltage of a second conductive line is pulled down, e.g., to 0 V, using the nMOSFET. This minimizes a capacitance while the selector is turned on. Further, when reading the selected memory cell, the parallel nMOSFET of the first conductive line may be turned on while the pMOSFET remains on. The nMOSFET adds a resistance which offsets a decreased resistance of the pMOSFET to allow accurate sensing of the voltage across the memory cell.

  • Patent number: 11327858
Abstract: Systems and processes are disclosed to preserve data integrity during a storage controller failure. In some examples, a storage controller of an active-active controller configuration can back-up data and corresponding cache elements to allow a surviving controller to construct a correct state of a failed controller's write cache. To accomplish this, the systems and processes can implement a relative time stamp for the cache elements that allow the backed-up data to be merged on a block-by-block basis.

  • Patent number: 11328591
Abstract: Assistance is provided to a driver of a road vehicle using bioptic eyewear which has a carrier lens and a telescopic lens. Presence of bioptic eyewear on the driver is detected while driving the vehicle. Spatial positioning of the driver with bioptic eyewear is tracked to identify a telescopic event in which the driver is looking through the telescopic lens. A gaze direction through the telescopic lens is detected during the telescopic event. Remote sensing data is collected covering a region of interest corresponding to a projection of the gaze direction. An object is detected within the region of interest. A driving indicator is identified according to the object. The driving indicator is presented to the driver as supplemental information to highlight key driving indicators such as identity of signage and color of a traffic light.

  • Patent number: 11324405
Abstract: Method and systems provide for reliable, convenient, and cost-effective personalized assessment of hemodynamic status in the ambulatory heart failure patient. The method and apparatus use pulse contour analysis of data obtained through observation of the patient for determination of hemodynamic status, and for determination of day-to-day changes in hemodynamic status. Observational assessment of the patient includes monitoring during activities of daily living including sleeping, sitting and standing. These activities create changes in venous return that are used to evaluate cardiac function or changes in cardiac function. The method and system infer body position by using position and motion information obtained by the system. Changes in cardiac function over time or due to changes in body pose are evaluated for the assessment of hemodynamic status, with a focus on changes resulting from fluid overload.
