Abstract: A Stirling cycle machine. The machine includes at least one rocking drive mechanism which includes: a rocking beam having a rocker pivot, at least one cylinder and at least one piston. The piston is housed within a respective cylinder and is capable of substantially linearly reciprocating within the respective cylinder. Also, the drive mechanism includes at least one coupling assembly having a proximal end and a distal end. The linear motion of the piston is converted to rotary motion of the rocking beam. Also, a crankcase housing the rocking beam and housing a first portion of the coupling assembly is included. The machine also includes a working space housing the at least one cylinder, the at least one piston and a second portion of the coupling assembly. An airlock is included between the workspace and the crankcase and a seal is included for sealing the workspace from the airlock and crankcase.

Abstract: An external combustion engine including a burner element, a heater head, a piston cylinder containing a piston, a cooler and a crankcase. The crankcase includes a crankshaft, a piston rod connected to the piston, a drive mechanism for converting the linear motion of the piston rod to rotary motion of the crankshaft and a linear cross-head bearing that is connected rigidly to the piston rod at one end and to the drive mechanism at the other end. Also the external combustion engine includes a piston clearance seal and a piston rod seal unit that has floating rod seals. The piston includes a inner dome to reduce axial heat transfer via radiation and convection.

The bottom container portion is rotatably coupled to the top container portion about an axis of rotation, and the top container portion is positionable between a closed position and an open position on the bottom container portion. The bottom container portion having a rear wall and a bottom wall. A raised member is positioned on the bottom wall adjacent to the rear wall. The top container portion where rotated to the open position releasably positions the raised member within the hollow recessed rib, thereby defining a hold open feature for the top container portion.
Abstract: A mattress wherein a plurality of independent yarn based fire barrier fabrics encases a plurality of distinct and unattached interior core structures. The plurality of interior core structures include at least a detached and internally flippable upper comfort layer assembly with a plurality of non-homogeneous foams or filling materials encased in a yarn-based fire barrier fabric and a lower, interiorly disposed support core structure with resilient filling materials encased in a yarn-based fire barrier fabric and a fabric cover. The detachable and internally flippable upper comfort layer assembly may be contained in a user accessible compartment that is fashioned into an outer cover assembly.

Abstract: A system for tilling compression marks formed in a field by wheels of agricultural machinery the system including a first roller assembly having a plurality of blade assemblies positioned in spaced relation to one another. The first roller assembly rotatably connected to a swing arm which moves the first roller assembly between a disengaged position, where the roller assembly does not penetrate the soil, and an engaged position where the roller assembly does penetrate and till the soil. The first roller assembly is positioned behind and in alignment with a first wheel of the agricultural machinery such that the first roller assembly tills the compression mark formed by the first wheel.

Abstract: Scent infused nasal cannulas, scent infused nasal cannula assemblies, methods of providing scents to subjects, and methods of fabricating scent infused nasal cannulas. The scent infused nasal cannulas and scent infused nasal cannula assemblies include a tubular body, a pair of narine projections, and fluid supply tubes. The tubular body and the pair of narine projections are formed from a scent infused polymer. The methods of providing scents to subjects include attaching a scent infused nasal cannula to a subject and delivering a fluid from a fluid source to the subject during the emission period of the scent infused polymer such that the scent is detectable therefrom. The methods of fabricating scent infused nasal cannulas include providing a scent infused nose piece and attaching fluid supply tubes to the nose piece and to a fluid source.

The first and second arms extend from the base and each include an arcuate portion proximate the base and a flange extending from the arcuate portion. The arcuate portions of the first and second arms cooperatively define a generally circular opening for receiving at least one plastic bag handle and the flanges are spaced apart from one another proximate the first and second arms to define a gap for permitting the at least one plastic bag handle to enter the generally circular opening.
Abstract: A gutter protecting apparatus includes a plurality of substantially parallel rods extending in a downward slope from near a roof edge to and beyond the far side of the gutter. The rods extend substantially perpendicular to the gutter's length and to a frame to which the rods connect at the upper edge. Preferably, the lower rod ends are spaced above and slightly beyond the far edge of the gutter to allow debris to pass the gutter without catching. Legs can extend down from some rods to the gutter's far edge to provide support. The apparatus can be pivotably mounted to the roof, the fascia or the gutter, permitting access beneath. The apparatus forms a cage-like covering over the gutter to exclude matter and small creatures, while allowing the liquid to flow past. Sunlight bypassing the rods and movement of air through the gutter make the water exiting the downspout cleaner.
