Patent number: 9945126Abstract: A gutter protecting apparatus includes a plurality of substantially parallel rods extending in a downward slope from near a roof edge to and beyond the far side of the gutter. The rods extend substantially perpendicular to the gutter's length and to a frame to which the rods connect at the upper edge. Preferably, the lower rod ends are spaced above and slightly beyond the far edge of the gutter to allow debris to pass the gutter without catching. Legs can extend down from some rods to the gutter's far edge to provide support. The apparatus can be pivotably mounted to the roof, the fascia or the gutter, permitting access beneath. The apparatus forms a cage-like covering over the gutter to exclude matter and small creatures, while allowing the liquid to flow past. Sunlight bypassing the rods and movement of air through the gutter make the water exiting the downspout cleaner.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2017Date of Patent: April 17, 2018Assignee: B & J Concepts, LLCInventor: Jerome W. Patent number: 9925028Abstract: A surgical device for assisting in the placement of a prosthetic implant within a surgical pocket of a patient such that placement minimizes tissue stress along and inside the surgical pocket. The surgical device comprises a bag shaped as a conical frustum in which a proximal end of the conical frustum is sealed and a distal end of the conical frustum is open, with an elongated slit extending from the distal end towards the proximal end. An opening formed by the distal opening and the elongated slit is sufficiently large enough to accept the prosthetic implant into the bag. According to one embodiment, an adhesive is affixed along a portion of the elongated slit to seal the elongated slit such that the distal end remains open, thereby allowing for egress of the implant from the bag and placement into the surgical pocket.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 2016Date of Patent: March 27, 2018Assignee: PROXIMATE CONCEPTS LLCInventor: Paul Rosenberg

Patent number: 9850058Abstract: A telescoping syringe suitable for use with medications and other ejectable or injectable fluids is presented. The syringe includes a plunger, a barrel, and a valve. The plunger is extendible from and retractable into the barrel. The plunger defines a first reservoir. The barrel defines a second reservoir as the plunger is extended from the barrel. The valve is disposed at one end of the plunger adjacent to a nipple extending from the barrel. A first sealing interface is formed by the valve and a distal wall along the barrel adjacent to the nipple. A second sealing interface is formed by an annular flange along the one-way valve and an annular groove along the plunger. A third sealing interface is formed by the valve and a circumferential end along the plunger. The sealing interfaces are closed prior to extension of the plunger from the barrel thereby preventing a gas from entering and a fluid from existing the first reservoir.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 2016Date of Patent: December 26, 2017Assignee: New Product Development Concepts LLCInventors: Robert A.
