    Abstract: A pair of reinforcing frames each comprising front and rear two dividable segments are attached to opposite sides of a vehicle body which comprises an engine, a clutch housing and a transmission case directly joined together into an assembly. Front and intermediate gate frames provided over the vehicle body at its front and intermediate portions astride thereof are secured to the reinforcing frames. Upper component members of the vehicle and a four-post protective frame are attached to the front and intermediate gate frames. The front and intermediate gate frames include upright members each made of a pipe of square to rectangular cross section. The members attached to the gate frames include front wheel fenders, a front cover, a bonnet, a fuel tank and a partition plate.

    Abstract: There is disclosed a plowing depth detecting system for a rotary plow adapted to detect an actual plowing depth on the basis of distance data with respect to the ground received from a distance sensor attached to the rotary plow which is vertically movably connected to a vehicle through a link mechanism. The distance sensor provides a microprocessor with distance data with respect to the ground rearwardly of the rotary plow. The microprocessor determines a value of actual plowing depth of the rotary plow on the basis of this distance data and a correction value according to a working condition of the rotary plow.

    Abstract: A control apparatus having a boom control system for controlling the movement of a liftable boom supported by a vehicle body and a working device control system for controlling a working device pivoted to the boom. Each of the control system includes a proportional solenoid valve and comprises an instruction circuit for producing an instruction signal in accordance with the amount of manipulation of an operating lever, discriminating circuit for determining the direction of operation of the valve from the instruction signal, a reference signal generator, a comparison circuit for comparing the instruction signal with the reference signal from the generator to obtain a pulse signal of a width in proportion to the amount of manipulation, and drive circuit for converting the pulse signal into a current to drive the valve in the direction determined by the discriminating circuit. The boom, as well as the working device, is movable at a speed corresponding to the amount of manipulation of the operating lever.

The upper case supports an input shaft operatively connected to the engine and surrounded by a planetary change speed gear assembly constituting the change speed portion. The planetary change speed gear assembly has an input gear mounted on a front portion of the input shaft and an output gear mounted on a rear portion of the input shaft. The lower case supports an output shaft operatively connected to the output gear. The output shaft includes a coupling device at a forward end thereof for connection to a propeller shaft for driving front wheels.

    Abstract: A screw conveyor type drying apparatus has a plurality of hollow drive shafts each having a plurality of hollow feed vanes located on the respective drive shaft along an imaginary helix positioned on the outer peripheral surface of the drive shaft. The drive shafts are driven so that adjacent drive shafts are rotated in mutually opposite directions, whereby a material to be dried is conveyed. A heating fluid supply device feeds heating fluid into the hollow internal of the feed vanes through the hollow drive shafts, whereby the material coming in contact with the feed vanes during conveyance is heated and dried.

    Abstract: A device for attaching a working implement to the front of a running vehicle for performing work while following the ground comprises a pair of opposite inflexible links pivoted at their rear ends to the front of the vehicle. These inflexible links are movable upwardly or downwardly and each link has a front end for movably supporting the front portion of the implement about a lateral pivot. A pair of opposite suspenders are each mounted on a longitudinally intermediate portion of each link for suspending the rear portion of the implement, each of the suspenders including a rod assembly pivotally connectable to the implement's rear portion and a resilient member. The rod assembly is inserted in an upstanding state through the link and is movable axially thereof to thereby permit upward or downward movement of the implement's rear portion due to the movement of the implement about the pivot.

When the front loader is to be attached to or removed from the vehicle body, the brace is removably attached to the lift arm or to the working portion, and with the brace and the working portion placed on the ground, the work cylinder is extended or contracted, lowering or raising the lift arm and the mast, whereby the mast is shifted between an attached position on the mount portion and a removed position thereabove.

    Abstract: A nozzle or nozzles for spraying cooling water are disposed at the lower end of a slag suction path. A cooling water down-flow passage is provided on the outer periphery of an inner tube which constitutes a slag suction path. A water sump is provided below the cooling water down-flow passage, the water sump being located lower than the each nozzle. A lower end opening of the cooling water down-flow passage is disposed lower than the each nozzle and is submerged in water in the water sump. The cooling water down-flow passage, except the lower end opening, is adapted to be closed up. When the cooling water down-flow passage is closed up, water in the passage is stopped by atmospheric pressure acting upon the surface of the water in the water sump, so that it is prevented from flowing down.

C. comprises a hollow skid pipe of heat resistant alloy, skid buttons provided upright on the skid pipe and arranged axially thereof at a predetermined spacing, and a refractory lining covering the outer peripheral surface of the skid pipe and each of the skid buttons over the base portion thereof toward its upper portion. Each of the skid buttons comprises a first member attached to the skid pipe and made of a heat-resistant alloy, and a second member to be brought into contact with the material to be heated. The second member is made of a composite material composed of a heat-resistant alloy and ceramic particles dispersed therein in an amount of 30 to 70% by weight based on the composite material. The skid button has a height exceeding 120 mm.
