  • Patent number: 4669549
Abstract: A tiller cover assembly covering a rotary tiller unit is provided inside thereof with rake members arranged at a spacing along the width of cultivation for sieving lumps or blocks of soil carried around by the tiller unit. Each of the raker members is made of a resilient rod which has a coiled portion toward its base end and is fixed to an attaching member at the base end above the coiled portion. The coiled portions of the rake members are projected toward an upwardly or downwardly movable rear cover of the cover assembly, permitting the rear cover to contact the coiled portions. A clearance is formed between sieving portions of the rake members extending downward from the coiled portions to their free ends and the rear cover. A protector is provided on the inner side of the coiled portions, by which the lumps or blocks of soil carried around by the tiller unit are prevented from striking the coiled portions.

  • Patent number: 4647083
Abstract: A separation preventive pipe joint comprises a socket and a spigot inserted into the socket with an annular packing interposed therebetween. An annular gland connected to the socket has an axial packing presser projection and is internally provided wtih an annular receptacle groove. Arcuate engaging segments are incliningly disposed in a circular arrangement within the receptacle groove and retained there by elastic distancing members. The engaging segments are radially inwardly pressed by pressing bolts to engage in the spigot outer periphery. Each engaging the segment elastically deforms in a manner of a Belleville spring in response toseparating movement of the spigot to assume a posture generally perpendicular to the spigot outer periphery so that the engaging element engages in the spigot outer periphery more firmly.

  • Patent number: 4631980
Abstract: A hydraulic circuit construction for a tractor having a hydraulic stepless change speed apparatus wherein pressure oil is supplied to the charge oil line regardless of whether the main clutch is engaged or disengaged while the engine is running. Furthermore, where the lift arm cylinder is the single acting type, the pressure oil from the hydraulic pump directly connected to the engine is divided at a flow priority valve, its excess flow being supplied to the hydraulic circuit for driving the lift arm cylinder, into a return oil line from this circuit a control flow of the flow priority valve being joined, whereby at least a constant amount of control flow is supplied to the charge oil line to avoid a complete break of the charge oil supply even if there is no flow of pressure oil in the return oil line at times of pressure oil supply to the single acting lift arm cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4626993
Abstract: Apparatus and method for controlling an automatically running vehicle over a predetermined course which has guidelines intermittently placed therein. Vehicle commands used to negotiate the course under manual control are stored in a memory. The vehicle has sensors which detect the presence and location of the guidelines as the vehicle passes by. The vehicle travels the course under control of the stored vehicle commands until guidelines are detected indicating the vehicle is off course. Then, vehicle control is switched so that the vehicle returns on course, over the guidelines. When the guidelines are no longer detected, vehicle control is returned to the memorized vehicle commands in such a fashion as to synchronize the actual vehicle position with the memorized data.
