Abstract: The invention comprises a method and a corresponding apparatus (53). A candidate set of sensors that are available to participate in an occasion of cooperative spectrum sensing is obtained. For each sensor in the candidate set, its radial distance to a central coordinating node in a communication system is also obtained (73). A sequence of minimum radii is produced (75,79). For each minimum radius in the sequence, an accommodation number is determined (75,87). The accommodation number associated with a minimum radius is the greatest number of sensors that can be placed on circle having this radius without a probability that all these sensors are mutually uncorrelated falling below a design probability threshold. Sensors from the candidate set are then selectively added (91,95) to an active set of sensors based on the minimum radii, the corresponding accommodation numbers and the obtained radial distances.

Abstract: Systems and methods for legal interception of the transmission of personalized ring back tones as they are sent from a network such as a mobile telephone network associated with a subscriber to a caller in response to a call placed by the caller to the subscriber to allow monitoring of personalized ring back tones and/or their associated call content data. The personalized ring back tone is intercepted at an intercept access point on the network, where the systems and methods of the invention then transmit the intercepted personalized ring back tone to an authorized person or entity, such as a law enforcement agency.

Abstract: In a method for selecting modulation and coding scheme for data transmitted from a transmitter to a receiver, the transmitter determines an estimated channel quality value. The transmitter then adjusts the estimated channel quality value in relation to a distribution of estimated channel quality values, and selects modulation and coding scheme based on the adjusted channel quality value. The invention also extends to a transmitter and a computer program product configured to select modulation and coding scheme accordingly.

The at least one applicator may comprise at least one flexible blade defining an application face.
Abstract: The present invention presents a method for creating a relation between mobiles and a vehicle of a wireless communications network. The vehicle is equipped with an on-board device with wireless communication capability. The present invention also presents an on-board device and a road user server to be used in such wireless communications network. Mobiles in the vehicle are triggered to report their location to the network. When the vehicle reports its location an association between the vehicle and the mobiles having same location information is performed. The triggering signal is sent on control channels triggering all mobiles, including mobiles in idle mode. Profiles of mobile users in a vehicle, based on location information and mobile identities, are retrieved and stored in lists which are forwarded to fore example hospitals and fire departments when an accident occurs.
Abstract: A frequency error of received signals in an OFDM receiver of a wireless communications system is determined. Symbols of a given duration are transmitted as cells on sub-carrier frequencies; and some of the cells are pilot cells modulated with reference information. The method comprises the steps of selecting at least three pilot cells (p0, p1, p2) from different symbols and different sub-carriers; determining the symbol and the sub-carrier on which each pilot cell is transmitted; determining for each pilot cell a phase difference between received and generated signals; calculating therefrom a change in phase difference (?x) caused by the frequency error; and calculating the frequency error from the calculated change in phase difference (?x). In this way a receiver capable of determining a frequency error also in situations where only a short data burst, such as a single resource block, is available for the estimation is provided.

Abstract: An expandable prosthetic device and method of delivery that allows the initial placement of multiple guidewires into selected target sites. The prosthesis includes a main body device. This main body device has a separate side branch guidewire lumen that passes through the main body device and through a side opening in the main body device. As the main body device is advanced, the side opening is self guided (by the side branch guidewire) and self-aligns to the side branch vessel ostium. The main body device is then deployed, leaving the side branch guidewire in place. A side branch device is then advanced along the side branch guidewire through the main body device, through the side wall opening and into the native side branch vessel. The side branch device can then be deployed to engage the main body device and the native side branch vessel.
Abstract: A method for an access network node, and the access network node, to provide a user device access to a service enabled by an IMS network, comprising the steps of: setting up an IP tunnel for communication with the user device, sending an authentication request to the user device via the tunnel, receiving a response to the authentication request from the user device via the tunnel, authenticating the user device, sending a registration request comprising an IMPU associated with the user device to an IMS network node, receiving a confirmation message from the IMS network node that the user device is authenticated, sending an authorization confirmation message via the IP tunnel that the user device is authorized, receiving a service request via the IP tunnel from the user device to start the service, sending a service session initiation message to an application server associated with the service.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a display arrangement comprising display means (304) and receiving and/or transmitting means for radio waves, millimeter waves or microwaves. An electrically conductive structure (6A) is adapted to form said receiving and/or transmitting means. Abstract: An object within a region is exposed to a first beam of penetrating radiation. The first beam of penetrating radiation is sensed on a side opposite the region from a source of the first beam. An attenuation of the first beam caused by passing the first beam through the object is determined, the attenuation is compared to a threshold attenuation. If the attenuation exceeds the threshold attenuation, a parameter of a second of beam of penetrating radiation is adjusted based on the determined attenuation.
