Abstract: An oral composition for preventing periodontal diseases through suppression of the colonization of causative bacteria of periodontal diseases comprises an antibody obtained by immunizing a mammal with at least one antigen selected from the group consisting of periodontal causative bacteria, their pilus and capsule fractions, and aluminum hydroxide for stabilizing said antibody.
Abstract: A microcapsule containing hydrous composition containing an electrolyte and microcapsules coated with a water-soluble polymer which undergoes phase separation by the action of the electrolyte. The electrolyte causes the above-mentioned phase separation comprising 5% to 80% by weight of water and water-soluble components.
Abstract: A viscous fluid dispenser having a significant decrease in the number of parts constituting the dispenser and thus having a simplified structure which can be easily assembled and which can function satisfactorily is provided. A first embodiment of the dispenser includes only five parts: a cylindrical body integrally formed with a top plate, a movable bottom lid slidably fitted in a lower end of the cylindrical body, a piston slidably fitted in a cylinder of the top plate and having a discharge pipe, a push button having a discharge nozzle connected to the discharge pipe, and a spring for upwardly forcing the push button and piston. A first check valve for operating a suction hole of the top plate is integrally formed in the top plate, and a second check valve for operating the discharge pipe is integrally formed in the piston.
Abstract: A process for preparing a glass or glass-ceramic composite sintered body by a sol-gel method comprises reacting(A) at least one silicic acid ester represented by the general formula (I). ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 to R.sub.4 are each hydrogen or a group represented by Chd xH.sub.2x+1 (OC.sub.2 H.sub.4).sub.y - wherein x is 1 to 5, and y is 0 to 10, provided that R.sub.1 to R.sub.4 are not all hydrogen at the same time, and n is 0 to 20;(B) at least one phosphorus compound represented by the general formula (II), (III) or (IV): ##STR2## wherein R.sub.5 to R.sub.9 are each hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, a phenyl group or an aralkyl group having 7 to 10 carbon atoms, and m is 0 to 10; and(C) at least one compound selected from the group consisiting of calcium salts and calcium coumpounds represented by the general formula (V)Ca(OR.sub.10).sub.2 (V)wherein R.sub.

Abstract: The present invention provides a process for manufacturing a porous polymer containing many voids in its interior, which has a small apparent specific gravity and is superior in terms of water absorbing properties, permeability and elasticity. The process comprises (1) forming O/W emulsion by using a water soluble surfactant wherein an inner phase of the O/W emulsion is a hydrophobic phase and an outer phase thereof is a water phase containing at least one water-soluble polymerizable monomer; (2) adding said O/W emulsion to a hydrophobic dispersing medium containing an oil-soluble surfactant to form O/W/O emulsion; and (3) polymerizing the monomer.

Abstract: An electrically conductive resin composition comprising:(i) a resin;(ii) a metallic powder;(iii) a diphosphonic acid derivative; and(iv) a hydroxyl-containing compound; wherein the weight ratio of the compound (i)/the component (ii) is 30/70 to 85/15 and the amounts of the components (iii) and (iv) are 0.5 parts by weight or more and 0.08 parts by weight, respectively, based on 100 parts by weight of the components (i) and (ii).
Abstract: A bleaching composition comprises:(A) hydrogen peroxide and/or a hydrogen peroxide addition compound such as a percarbonate; and(B) at least one activator which is a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound in which a halgoen atom is substituted for the hydrogen atom of the secondary amino group or a non-heterocyclic N-halo-hindered amine compound, the hydrolysis constant of the activator being within the range of 1.times.10.sup.-10 to 5.times.10.sup.-6 (at 25.degree. C.). Examples of the activator includes 1-chloro-piperidine, 1-chloro-2-methyl-piperidine, 1-chloro-isonipecotic acid, 1-chloro- -hexamethyleneimine and 1-chloro-.epsilon.-caprolactam. The bleaching-detergent composition may also contain the components (A) and (B) together with a surfactant. These compositions exhibit an excellent effect concerning bleaching at low temperature, but hardly affect the colors of colored and patterned clothes.
Abstract: A mixture of a saturated fatty acid ester sulfonate and an unsaturated fatty acid ester sulfonate, which is useful as an active ingredient of a detergent, is prepared at a stroke by sulfonating a mixture of a saturated fatty acid ester and an unsaturated fatty acid ester by using as a sulfonating agent a saturated fatty acid ester having SO.sub.3 adsorbed therein in an amount larger than the equimolar amount, and then neutralizing the sulfonation product.
Abstract: A denture adhesive composition which has improved removability from denture plates and easiness in being squeezed out of a tube and which includes a low softening-point resin selected from polyvinyl acetate resins and natural chicles, and at least one compound having a molecular weight of about 120-7000 and containing one or more polyoxypropylene groups of the formula --(CH.sub.2 --CHCH.sub.3 --O).sub.n where n is an integer of 2-120 in an amount of at least 60% of the molecular weight of the compound.
Abstract: Novel microorganisms are provided which belong to the genus Bacillus and have ability of producing novel alkaline proteases. The alkaline proteases have excellent stability in highly alkaline conditions when blended with detergents, and improve detergency of the detergents. A process for the production of such alkaline proteases is also provided wherein the novel microorganisms are cultured.
Abstract: There is disclosed a method for manufacturing a toothpaste containing an abrasive, a humectant, a binder, a surfactant and water comprising steps of:mixing the binder, part of the humectant and a small amount of water to prepare a liquid dispersion where the binder is slightly swollen,mixing the thus prepared liquid of the slightly swollen binder with the abrasive, the surfactant, the remaining humectant and the remaining water, andperforming a final stage where the binder is completely swollen and dissolved to prepare a toothpaste.

Abstract: A divisible package box comprising a main sheet and a partition body, the main sheet including a bottom, two side and two cover sections, flaps and a cutting line such as a cutting tape or a perforated line across the bottom section and the bottom flaps, the partition body consisting of two partition members in back to back contact with each other, each partition member including a partition section and two end sections at its ends, the sections and the flaps being defined by score lines for folding therearound. The end sections and the side flaps constitute end faces of an assembled package box so that the inner surfaces of all faces thereof may be completely flat. The assembled package box may be divided into two small boxes along the cutting line and the partition sections which constitute each end face of the divided two small boxes.
