Abstract: A driver's side airbag module for a vehicle. The airbag module includes an upper panel, a lower panel, and an extension panel. The extension panel has a varying width. A lateral tether restrains the extension panel in the lateral direction when the airbag module is deployed. The extension panel and the lateral tether create an oblong shaped airbag cushion. The airbag module also includes a lower tether that connects the lower panel and the bottom of the upper panel so that the upper panel is held on the bottom portion during deployment.

Abstract: An eye movement tracking device that can be mounted to standard eyeglasses as disclosed. The device comprises an illumination source, a time-of-flight (TOF) camera and a processor. The source transmits energy within a frequency band from a location proximate to an eye of a person, such that at least a first portion of the transmitted energy is reflected off a lens of eyewear worn by the person to subsequently reflect off the eye, and such that at least a second portion of the transmitted energy is transmitted through the lens to reflect off objects in the person's environment. The TOF camera detects reflections of at least the first portion of the transmitted energy, and distinguishes them from other energy detected by the TOF camera in said frequency band, based on TOF principles. The processor uses the detected reflections of the first portion of the transmitted energy to determine eye position.
Abstract: An example valve includes: a pressure compensation spool configured to be subjected to a first fluid force of fluid received at an inlet port of the valve; a sleeve having a cavity and at least one throttling cross-hole; a throttling spool disposed in the cavity of the sleeve and configured to be axially movable therein, wherein the throttling spool blocks the at least one throttling cross-hole when the valve is unactuated; and a pressure compensation chamber, wherein when the valve is actuated, the throttling spool moves in the proximal direction to form a throttling flow area between a distal end face of the throttling spool and an edge of the at least one throttling cross-hole, allowing fluid flow from the inlet port to the pressure compensation chamber, thereby causing a second fluid force to be applied on the pressure compensation spool, allowing flow to an outlet port of the valve.
Abstract: A screw bit body which allows for efficient torque force application onto a socket fastener. The screw bit body includes a plurality of laterally-bracing sidewalls, a first base, and a second base. The laterally-bracing sidewalls are radially distributed about a rotation axis of the screw bit body with each further including a first lateral edge, a second lateral edge, a bracing surface, and an engagement cavity. The engagement cavity creates an additional gripping point to prevent slippage in between the screw bit body and the socket fastener. The engagement cavity traverses normal and into the bracing surface. Additionally, the engagement cavity traverses into the screw bit body from the first base to the second base. The engagement cavity is specifically positioned offset from the first lateral edge by a first distance.
Abstract: Stapling assemblies for use with a surgical stapler and methods for manufacturing the same are provided. Three dimensional adjuncts for use with a surgical stapling assembly and methods for manufacturing the same are also provided.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed to apparatuses and methods involving a desiccant chamber and related componentry, as may be utilized for controlling humidity in electrical enclosures. As may be consistent with one or more embodiments, an environmental control module (ECM) includes a desiccant chamber with a desiccant material therein, first and second membranes in a pathway extending from the desiccant chamber and through respective openings in the ECM, and a gasket and enclosure on the ECM which seal the pathway. A seal in the pathway seals the opening in ECM leading to the first membrane and desiccant chamber during evacuation and fill of an electrical enclosure in which the ECM may be employed, and can be broken to couple the desiccant to the electrical enclosure.
Abstract: An apparatus is provided that includes a plurality of memory cells, a programming circuit configured to apply a plurality of programming pulses to the memory cells, and a scanning circuit configured to repeatedly switch between performing an n-state bitscan after each programming pulse until first predetermined criteria are satisfied, and performing an m-state bitscan after each programming pulse until second predetermined criteria are satisfied, where m>n, and n>0.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques might provide for implementing customer-based Internet of Things (“IoT”)—transparent privacy functionality. Various methods, systems, and apparatuses might provide connectivity between a network interface device (“NID”) and each of one or more first user devices of a plurality of user devices associated with the customer premises and/or a user who is associated with the customer premises. In some cases, at least one virtual network function (“VNF”) might be sent to each of the one or more first user devices. The NID might restrict, in some cases using the VNF, access by a third party to the information regarding the at least one portion of the at least one of one or more first user devices connected to the network or one or more applications running on one or more first user devices connected to the network.
Abstract: A media session is established between a first device (e.g., endpoint) and a second device (e.g., endpoint) via a communication network based on connectivity checks performed by the devices. A set of candidate pairs, including network addresses available to the first device and the second device, is generated. Among the candidate pairs of the candidate pair set, a respective priority is initially assigned for connectivity checks. If a connectivity check modification condition is determined to be met for candidate pairs used for connectivity checks, the priority ordering of the candidate pairs is modified to produce a second priority ordering. This second priority ordering assigns a higher priority for a candidate pair which meets the connectivity check modification condition than a candidate pair that does not meet the condition. Based on the modified ordering, connectivity checks are performed, and the media session is configured and established using a candidate pair determined to be valid.

Abstract: The use of user-specific data to process a biometric print, such that use of the biometric print is revoked by invalidating the user-specific data. The processed print is generated by performing one-way processing of the biometric print using the user-specific data. The processed print, not the biometric print, is then provided to the authentication system for later authentication of the user. During matching, the user later provides a current biometric, resulting in generation of a current biometric print. For each of multiple users, the user-specific is obtained for that user, and at least one processed print is generated for each user based on the current biometric print. The current processed prints are used by the authentication system to match against each of the enrolled processed prints. If a match is found, the user is identified as being the user associated with the matching enrolled print.
