Abstract: A control device configured for use in a load control system to control one or more electrical loads may comprise an actuation member having a front surface defining a touch sensitive surface configured to detect a point actuation along at least a portion of the front surface, a touch sensitive circuit, and a control circuit. The touch sensitive device may comprise one or more receiving capacitive touch pads located behind the actuation member and arranged in a linear array adjacent to the touch sensitive surface. The control circuit may be configured to operate using different filtering techniques based on the state/mode of the control device and/or based on whether the positions of point actuations by a user along the touch sensitive surface indicate a fine tune or gross adjustment by the user. For example, the control circuit may generate an output signal using light/no filtering or using heavy filtering.

Abstract: A system includes a first plurality of blockchain nodes including first network nodes external to a vehicle and second network nodes internal to the vehicle, the first plurality of blockchain nodes maintaining a first distributed blockchain ledger; and a first computing device. The first computing device is programmed to transmit a first request to the first plurality of blockchain nodes requesting access to a vehicle network via a communications access port in the vehicle; demonstrate a first proof of work by responding to a second request from the first plurality of blockchain nodes; and receive, based on a first majority of the first network nodes and the second network nodes in the first plurality of blockchain nodes accepting the first request, first authorization specifying access to the vehicle access via the communications access port.

Abstract: An electronic device may advertise a first BSSID and a second BSSID having a common SSID, separate wireless connection interfaces, and different capabilities, where the first BSSID may support a first IEEE 802.11 standard, and the second BSSID may support one or more previous IEEE 802.11 standards, but may not support the first IEEE 802.11 standard. Then, the electronic device may receive a probe request associated with a second electronic device. Moreover, the electronic device may determine whether the second electronic device supports the first IEEE 802.11 standard based at least in part on one or more fields in the probe request. Next, the electronic device may selectively provide a probe response to the second electronic device with one of the first BSSID and the second BSSID based at least in part on the determination.

Abstract: An ad simulator having at least in-browser simulation capabilities is provided. In examples, the ad simulator may be a web browser extension, which a media developer, designer, etc. may use for ad display simulation. The browser extension may locate existing display ads on a webpage, one or more of which can be selected to be replaced with a new ad. A HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) request may be made to an ad template rendering engine that returns a HyperText Markup Language (HTML) of a new ad personalized and targeted to a customer. The browser extension may then replace the existing ad with the new ad.

Abstract: A drug delivery device having an array of solid microneedles embedded with drugs and a light-to-heat-transducing (LTHT) element and a flexible printed circuit board containing a light source, such as a light emitting diode, which can be activated to release the drug embedded in the microneedles through localized melting. The device is worn in contact with the skin of a user, which enables the microneedles penetrate the upper layers of the user's skin. Although in contact with a user's skin, the drugs are not delivered until the device is activated. Activation can occur by an external signal received by the device or through a signal based on a physiological state of the user determined through a sensor in a closed-loop control system.

Abstract: Techniques to pre-authenticate an identity for an electronic account are described and claimed by the present disclosure. The electronic account may enforce a multi-factor authentication procedure that involves a number of steps. In addition to the electronic account, a user may have other accounts requiring authentications. Successful authentications with respect to those other accounts may provide evidence of the user's identity. If sufficient evidence is present, one or more steps of the multi-factor authentication procedure may be bypassed. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: A system for recommending personalized rewards based on customer profiles and customer preferences includes one or more processors configured to access customer parameters associated with the first customer and customer parameters associated with a plurality of second customers from a database. The values of customer parameters of the first customer are compared with the values of the customer parameters of the plurality of second customers to identify of the plurality of second customers having customer parameter values that correspond to the customer parameter values associated with the first customer. Abstract: This document describes techniques and systems that enable an input-mode notification for a multi-input mode. A radar field enables an electronic device to accurately determine the presence or absence of a user near the electronic device. Further, the electronic device can determine whether an application that can receive input through radar-based gestures is operating on the electronic device. Using these techniques, the electronic device can present an input-mode notification on a display of the electronic device when the user is near to alert the user that radar gesture input is available for interacting with the electronic device. This allows the device to provide the user with feedback that can educate the user about what the electronic device is capable of, and allows the user to take advantage of the additional functionality and features provided by the availability of the radar gestures.

The message management system generates one or more hash values by applying a hash function to each of the one or more images corresponding to the file. The message management system stores the one or more hash values in a database. The message management system receives an outgoing electronic message that includes an attached file. The message management system generates one or more attachment hash values for the attached file by applying the hash function to the attached file. The message management system compares the one or more attachment hash values to the database. The message management system determines that at least one attachment hash value matches at least one hash value. The message management system blocks the outgoing electronic message.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, methods, computer program products, and the like, for providing a failover system and method for one or more collaboration conference web adapters. In general, the system and method allow for the movement of traffic or other communication packets associated with a collaboration conference from one adapter located in a first data center to another adapter located in a second data center. In one embodiment, the failover may occur in response to the detection or determination of a failure or loss of an operational state at an adapter of the system. In another embodiment, the failover may occur in response to a selection from an operations center to move the traffic to the selected adapter or second data center.

Abstract: An image sensor may include an array of image pixels. The array of image pixel may be coupled to column readout circuitry. A given image pixel may generate a low light signal and a high light signal for a given exposure. A column line may couple the given image pixel to readout circuitry having amplifier circuitry. The column line may be coupled to an autozeroing transistor for reading out the high light signal and a source follower stage for readout out the low light signal. The amplifier circuitry may receive different common mode voltage depending on whether it is amplifying the low or high light signal. The gain and other operating parameters of the amplifier circuitry may be adjusted based on whether it is amplifying the low or high signal. If desired, separate amplifier circuitry may be implemented for the low and high light signals.
