Abstract: A spinal interbody fusion device for use in a plurality of surgical approaches includes a cage, a top end, a bottom end, and at least a first side representing the width of the cage and at least a second side representing a length of the cage. The cage includes fixation holes and inserter holes, with each fixation hole being configured for accepting a screw or anchor and each inserter hole being accessible for one or more surgical approaches for performing a spinal fusion. Also included are methods for selecting a size of an intervertebral implant and methods of surgically approaching a spine of a patient for spinal surgical procedures.

Abstract: The invention describes a core shell microcapsule wherein the capsule shell is an interfacial copolymer formed of a modified polysaccharide free radical cross-linked with a multifunctional (meth)acrylate. The polysaccharide is hydrophobically modified with an adduct containing at least one unsaturated bond. The modification imparts hydrophobic character to the polysaccharide to act as an emulsifier, driving the modified polysaccharide to an oil-water interface of an encapsulation emulsion described, and creates an active bonding site for free-radical polymerization between the polysaccharide and multifunctional (meth)acrylate, thereby forming a microcapsule shell surrounding the core material.

Abstract: Methods and uses of biological tissues for various stent and other medical applications. In an exemplary embodiment of a method of processing a tissue of the present disclosure, the method comprises the steps of acquiring a mammalian tissue comprising at least a portion of a pulmonary region tissue, selecting a sample of pulmonary region tissue from the at least a portion of a pulmonary region tissue, and fixing the sample of pulmonary region tissue using a fixative, resulting in a fixed sample. In at least one embodiment, the step of selecting a sample of pulmonary region tissue comprises selecting a sample of pulmonary ligament tissue from the mammalian tissue.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for increasing sensitivity of a collision avoidance system of a vehicle based on driver awareness state. In one embodiment, a determination is made regarding whether or not the driver is alert based on an output of a sensor in the vehicle, such as a driver-facing camera or a sensor that detects a state of the vehicle. If the driver is found not to be alert, a lower confidence level threshold is used by a collision avoidance system of the vehicle (e.g., to more aggressively apply automatic braking). Other embodiments are provided.

Abstract: A method including receiving a unique identifier for a user. The method also can include determining, using a wallet directory, a shared wallet associated with the unique identifier. The shared wallet can include identifying information for cards issued from multiple different issuers. The method additionally can include sending the identifying information for the cards to enable the user to select one of the cards for a first transaction at a first merchant. The method further can include obtaining information about a first selected card of the cards based on a selection from the user. The method additionally can include requesting a first payment authorization token for the first selected card from a wallet network system. The method further can include sending the first payment authorization token to enable the first merchant to process the first transaction using the first selected card. Abstract: A headrest storage pocket for use in a vehicle headrest seat is disclosed. The headrest storage pocket for use in a vehicle seat comprises a pocket made of a webbing, wherein that pocket is attached to a rear surface of the headrest of the vehicle seat. The headrest storage pocket also comprises an elastic band attached to a top edge of the pocket, wherein the pocket having a first side edge, a second side edge and a bottom edge. The first side edge, second side edge and bottom edge are secured to the rear surface of the headrest via at least one sewn seam. The headrest storage pocket may allow for storage of objects in the back rear surface of the vehicle headrest thus preventing the objects from being thrown around the interior compartment of the vehicle during driving thereof and keeping the objects in an easy to reach area of the vehicle.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer-readable medium for improving the security of an e-commerce system using Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). The security of the e-commerce system is improved by receiving a transaction request via a response email that contains a token. This token is decoded to uncover the user's email address. The system then undertakes a verification using Sender Policy Framework (SPF) or DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) to decide whether to accept or reject. Following this, a confirmation email, which includes a clickable link, is sent to the user's email address derived from the token. The transaction is processed once the user clicks on the link in the confirmation email, completing the security enhancement process.

Using the raking map, the system generates a proposed gathering path for the crop gathering operation. Additionally, the system receives the gathering data and generates a gathering map therefrom.
