  • Patent number: 10552440
Abstract: Described is a system (and method) that provides a framework for performing data transformations, which may be part of an Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) process. The system may perform a data transformation by creating a pipeline that executes a set of independent software components (or component, plugins, add-ons, etc.). The components may be executed as individual services (e.g., microservices) that may be provided within containers to allow the components to be deployed as self-contained units on various types of host systems including cloud-based infrastructures. In addition, to provide further flexibility for the framework, the components may be implemented using preexisting software libraries.

  • Patent number: 10549451
Abstract: In construction of pallets, stringers are conveyed on a conveyor in a conveying direction to a pneumatic stop assembly including a pawl. The pawl is moveably mounted relative to the conveyor by a parallelogram linkage and moveable by a pneumatic actuator between first and second heights relative to the conveyor. While the pawl is at its first height, a lower board in a hopper is pushed from a shelf by a pusher onto the stringers on the conveyor. While pushed, the ends of the board slide along and between first and second slide rails on opposite sides of the conveyor. The board on the stringers is sandwiched between the pusher and the pawl at the first height while fastened together by a nail gun. After being fastened together, the pawl is moved to its second height which does not interfere with the fastened board and stringers conveyed by the conveyor.

  • Patent number: 10552208
Abstract: A computing device has first and second virtual machines (VMs) and a resource assigned to the first VM. Each access request for the resource is forwarded thereto until the first VM is to be saved or migrated. Thereafter, each access request is forwarded to a holding queue. When the resource has acted upon all access requests forwarded thereto, the resource is reassigned to the second VM, and each access request at the holding queue is forwarded to the second VM and then the resource. Thus, all access requests for the resource are acted upon by the resource even after the resource is removed from the first VM and assigned to the second VM, and the save or migrate of the first VM can thereafter be completed.

  • Patent number: 10551840
Abstract: A perception perceives a driving environment surrounding an ADV based on sensor data obtained from a variety of sensors. Based on the perception data received from the perception module, a planning module is to plan a trajectory for a current driving cycle to drive the ADV. In addition, the planning module determines a driving intent and one or more regions of interest (ROIs) surrounding the ADV based on the trajectory. The driving intent and the ROIs information is then provided to the perception module as a feedback. The perception module can then processing the sensor data from selective sensors to generate the perception data for a next driving cycle. The selected sensors may be determined and selected based on the driving intent and the ROIs, such that the sensor data of the unrelated sensors may be ignored to reduce the computation cost of the perception module.

  • Patent number: 10552053
Abstract: Apparatus and method for managing data in a hybrid data storage device. In some embodiments, a hybrid data storage device operates in a normal mode in which data transfer commands received from a host device are serviced by a top level controller circuit which directs a first subset of the received data transfer commands to a non-volatile rotatable recording memory and a second subset of the received data transfer commands are directed to a non-volatile solid-state memory. The controller circuit transitions to a performance mode responsive to a detected first parameter so that subsequently received data transfer commands are directed exclusively to the solid-state memory. The controller circuit terminates the performance mode and resumes the normal mode responsive to a detected second parameter.

  • Patent number: 10554767
Abstract: Systems and methods are included for displaying enterprise content on a large-format display based on proximity of one or more user devices. A management server can enroll a television and a user device and install management agents on both. The management server can receive proximity information from the television or the user device, or both, and determine that content relating to the user device should be displayed on the television. For example, the management server or management agents can compare an estimated distance between the television and user device to a threshold distance for displaying content on the television related to that user device. The management server can then request content from a content server and instruct the content server to provide that content directly to the television for display.
