Abstract: Disclosed in some examples, are methods, systems, and machine-readable mediums which provide for a focus management framework that provides for greater knowledge and control of focus transitions. An event listener is attached to a root focusable element of the DOM. The event listener may receive all focus interactions with any child element. By listening for all focus events the framework may provide more powerful events that provide both the source element and destination element as event parameters. This framework allows many different applications, such as for example, allowing the application to customize the order focus is transitioned (from the browser's default order), to allow for a history of focus events, to enable a declarative language for defining behaviors for elements of the application that need to be involved with scenarios that depend on focus transition, aggregating messages sent to assistive technologies triggered by a focus transition, and the like.

Abstract: An on-line social network system is configured to generate a news feed for a member by processing updates originating from different sources using different first pass ranker models. The first pass ranker models generate respective sets of raw scores, which are calibrated based on a consistent scale of feed engagement metrics of interest, such as a click through rate. The calibrated scores are then used as training data to train a second pass ranker and/or as input into the second pass ranker at the time when the second pass ranker is to generate respective ranks for items in an inventory of updates identified as potentially of interest to a focus member and to select a subset of items from the inventory based on the generated respective ranks.

Abstract: Message-based keyword, phrase, and/or object processing and resource allocation may perform functionality related to the message data, such as keywords, phrases, and/or objects (e.g., images, video, etc.). Based on the keywords, phrases, and/or objects, emails may be modified, project plans may be updated, calendar events may be created, and/or various notifications may be sent to allocate and notify human resources accordingly.

Abstract: A rifle cartridge with a bullet has desirable penetration capabilities and controlled separation of components upon terminal impact. In embodiments of the invention, the bullet comprises a forward component, a lead core, and a copper jacket. The lead jacket having a leading edge portion that extends to the cylindrical mid portion. The forward component may have a forward pointed ogive portion, a cylindrical mid portion, a mid ogive portion, and a pair of cylindrical portions separated by an annular groove. The jacket having a cannelure at the annular groove and the casing upper lip crimped into the cannelure.

Abstract: A technology bag allows its carrier to indulge in vaping or drinking inconspicuously, or deliver a burst of vapor externally, as in pepper spray for personal protection or scenting as used in hunting. The technology bag comprises various technology compartments for various technology components including technology tanks, bladders, tubes, and other associated attachments. The technology bag can also provide a safety releasable coupling such that the various technology will “break-away” easily if snagged or caught. In one embodiment the technology bag is a backpack. In other embodiments the technology bag could be a messenger bag, briefcase, knapsack, purse, or any over-the-shoulder style bag employing a shoulder strap. In each of these embodiments the shoulder strap is operable to provide the various functionalities of the technology bag.

Abstract: A teeth cleaning travel kit includes toothbrushing mouthpiece that has two inverted channels dimensioned to receive upper and lower bites of dental arches of a user, the channels being integral with one another. Teeth-cleaning bristles inwardly project within the two inverted channels to bear inwardly against teeth and gums of the user, wherein the channels and teeth-cleaning bristles are configured such that mastication produces relative brushing movement of the teeth-cleaning bristles over the teeth and gums. An oral hygiene promoting product is attached to one of the two inverted channels and the teeth-cleaning bristles that is released by action of the user's mouth. The teeth cleaning travel kit also includes a vessel that contains a rinsing fluid and kit packaging that contains the toothbrushing mouthpiece and vessel.

Abstract: In a system for decomposing organic compounds in water for use in semiconductor manufacturing, a chemical reactor vessel having a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, a persulfate anion addition system upstream of the reactor vessel, and a light emitting device contained within the reactor vessel. The light emitting device provides light capable of decomposing persulfate anions.

Abstract: Controls systems and methods are provided for controlling a surgical clip applier for applying surgical clips to a vessel, duct, shunt, etc., during a surgical procedure are provided. In an exemplary embodiment, a control system is provided for controlling at least one motor coupled to a drive system on a surgical clip applier device for driving one or more drive assemblies and thereby actuating one or more actuation assemblies. The control system can be configured to communicate with the drive system of the clip applier tool and to control and modify movement of one or more drive assemblies and actuation assemblies based on certain feedback.

Abstract: A display device, such as a head mounted device (HMD), displays a virtual scene. The display device includes a motion tracker for detecting rotation and/or translation of the display device. The display device also includes a processor that is configured to determine, in response to the detected, an orientation of the display device relative to a plurality of world-aligned viewing frustums that are stationary relative to the virtual scene. The processor is also configured to identify a set of those world-aligned viewing frustums that overlap with an output field of view. The processor is further configured to render pixels of the set of those world-aligned viewing frustums that overlap with an output field of view and upsample the rendered pixels to generate values of display pixels for presentation by the display device.

Abstract: Techniques for video conferencing including obtaining a first image captured by a camera through a display device of a first device, receiving at the first device live images of a first participant of a video conferencing session, displaying a first composite image on the display device with an image portion of the eyes of the first participant at a lateral position corresponding to the camera, segmenting a foreground image from the first image that corresponds to a second participant of the video conferencing session, and causing via the video conferencing session a second composite image of the second device at a different geographic location, in which the second composite image includes the foreground image composited with a background image.

Abstract: A user trainable user interface page classification system applies a rule set to information associated with a user interface page to determine whether the user interface page satisfies a domain page condition. If the user interface page does not satisfy the domain page condition, a user trains the system such that the user interface page classification system classifies the user interface page as a domain page. The rule set of the user interface page classification system is updated, and the updated rule set is applied to the information associated with the user interface page. The user interface page classification system then classifies the user interface page as a domain page.

Abstract: An optical system comprises a linear illumination source configured to emit light, a first scanning stage configured to receive the light and to scan the light, and a second scanning stage. The linear illumination source is configured to generate light forming a vertical field of view based on the one or more output signals received from a controller modulating the one or more output signals comprising image data defining content. The first scanning stage redirects portions of the light to generate an output defining a horizontal field of view based on the one or more output signals of the controller. The first scanning device combines the vertical field of view and the horizontal field of view in the output light to create a two-dimensional light image of the content. The second scanning stage receives and directs the output of the first scanning stage toward a projected exit pupil.

Abstract: A method to provide dedicated bandwidth, the method including: provisioning transmitters to transmit over a satellite link; generating, for each of the transmitters, a respective transmit signal using a common codeblock asynchronous sub-carrier multiple access (A-SCMA) encoding for a respective information stream; transmitting, via the satellite link, the respective transmit signal from each of the transmitters; and varying a bandwidth rate of each of the respective transmit signals with a grant-free protocol, where the bandwidth rate of the respective transmit signals is less than or equal to a maximum system rate, the transmitting of at least two or more of the transmitters is at least partially concurrent, and each of the respective transmit signals is modulated at a common frequency over a common frequency band with a common polarization. The method reduces latency, jitter, and provides dynamic bandwidth allocation without allocation feedback.

Abstract: A collapsible chair may be supported by a base. A slider receptacle may be mounted on the base and comprise two arched slider receiving areas. Each arched slider receiving area may be shaped as an arched guide, track or hollow cylinder suitable for receiving two arched sliders, where each arched slider may be inserted and adjustably moved by hand in one of the two arched slider receiving areas. Moving the arched sliders towards a front of the collapsible chair reclines the collapsible chair while moving the arched sliders towards a rear of the collapsible chair raises the collapsible chair. The collapsible chair may also have two back rest poles and two seat poles that create the frame of the collapsible chair. A material may be extended between distal ends of the two back rest poles and two seat poles to create a seating area of the collapsible chair.

Abstract: Particular embodiments described herein provide for a network element that can be configured to receive, from an electronic device, a request to access a network service. In response to the request, the network element can send data related to the network service to the electronic device and add a test link to the data related to the network service. The network element can also be configured to determine if the test link was successfully executed and classify the electronic device as untrusted if the test link was not successfully executed.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing reviews. A request for information about an item is received from a client device. A group of the reviews for the item in the request from the reviews for items is identified. A user requesting the information about the item is identified. A set of the reviews in the group of the reviews made by a set of people having an influence on the user is identified using a hypergraph. A visibility of the set of the reviews is increased. The group of the reviews with an increased visibility for the set of the reviews is sent in a response to the request, enabling displaying the group of the reviews on a display system for the client device such that the set of the reviews is more visible than other reviews in the group of the reviews.
