  • Patent number: 10546277
Abstract: A method begins with a server in a data communication system establishing an initial validity of an exchange item that includes data regarding a quantifiable value, a serial number, and issuance information, where the initial validity authenticates the exchange item and the data. The method continues with the server executing a secure custody protocol to establish that a first computing device has secure custody of the exchange item and to maintain validity of the exchange item. The method continues with the server transferring the secure custody of the exchange item from the first computing device to the server or to a second computing device. When the exchange item is in the secure custody of the server the method continues with the server modifying the data of the exchange item to produce a modified exchange item and transferring secure custody of the modified exchange item to the first computing device.

  • Patent number: 10547707
Abstract: Identifying user input data on a mobile user device may provide a way to predict the types of questions and actions a user will take and offer information contemporaneously with such actions. One example method of operation includes identifying an active application programming interface (API) of a presently operating application executing on the user device, and identifying input data populating the application. Then, storing and processing the input data to identify a topic of interest and retrieving relevant content that is associated with the topic of interest, and creating a recommendation message based on the relevant content.

  • Patent number: 10545624
Abstract: Relevant content (e.g., containers and/or container elements) can be surfaced via user interfaces based at least partly on determining the relevant content based on interactions between user(s), container(s), and/or container element(s). Techniques described herein include generating a user interface configured with functionality to present content to a user. The user interface can include interface elements, such as cards, corresponding to containers. The cards can be arranged on the user interface in an order determined based at least partly on respective relevancies of the containers to the user, and a presentation of individual cards can be based at least partly on a type of corresponding individual containers. Individual cards can include a group of one or more interface elements corresponding to container elements that can be arranged based at least partly on respective relevancies of the container elements to the user.

  • Patent number: 10546513
Abstract: The arithmetic educational tool utilizes a container having a main chamber and two extended chambers from the main chamber to visually demonstrate addition and subtraction. Objects placed with the container will move from the main chamber into the extended chambers when the container is tilted and thereby break the number objects in the main chamber into parts. The container is bifurcated, having the two extended chambers branching off of from the main chamber and thereby causes a random splitting of the number of objects into each of the extended chamber. Conversely, objects placed in each of the extended chambers can be added when the chamber is tilted to cause the object to move from the extended chambers into the main chamber. One or more of the chambers may have an obscuring feature, such as a color or slidably cover, that enables obscuring the number of objects therein.

  • Patent number: 10547564
Abstract: A session manager is used to manage selection of a remote host for a session in response to a request that is associated with a user. The session manager uses resource information obtained from remote hosts in advance of the request to determine which remote host to associate with a session for a client. Each remote host performs a resource calculation (configurable) to determine how many processes/sessions it can further accommodate. The remote host sends the results of the resource calculation and other determined resource information to the session manager. The session manager provides the determined remote host to a client device. The client device then directly connects to the determined remote host. A process may be automatically started on the remote host for the client as the user. The session manager may also store and receive information for active and historical processes, remote host status, and remote host configuration.

  • Patent number: 10542833
Abstract: Drink containers with mouthpiece assemblies having a dispensing configuration and a stowed configuration. A mouthpiece assembly defines a liquid passage through which drink liquid may be dispensed when the mouthpiece assembly is in the dispensing configuration and includes means for selectively restricting the flow of drink liquid through the liquid passage when the mouthpiece assembly is in the stowed configuration. In some examples, the means for selectively restricting the flow of drink liquid include a tube that at least partially defines the liquid passage and which includes a crimping region. The crimping region may be constructed of a resiliently and reversibly deformable material that is adapted to restrict the flow of drink liquid through the liquid passage when the mouthpiece assembly is in the stowed configuration. In some embodiments, the mouthpiece assembly includes a means for automatically releasing the mouthpiece assembly from its stowed configuration to a dispensing configuration.

  • Patent number: 10545831
Abstract: A request identifier is employed with various systems and methods in order to enable an application to pause execution during a failure and subsequently resume execution and communication with a storage system once the failure is resolved. An application residing on a node may attempt to access target data on a storage system. The application sends a request to access the target data. The request may be associated with a request identifier that identifies the application. When the storage system experiences a failure, the application receives a failure notification. The application pauses execution as a result of the notification. When the node reestablishes a connection to the storage system, the application resumes execution using the same request identifier. If the resume request is granted, the application is guaranteed that the target data was not modified during the failure.
