Abstract: A system and method for providing access control to one or more resources based on roster scoped roles includes generating, via a group management system, a group instance for a group for use in an application, the group including a plurality of group members, and receiving selection of roles for one or more of the plurality of group members. Access rights for the selected roles are retrieved from an application manifest associated with the application and an access rights list instance is generated for the group for storing a list of group members, the group member's selected roles and access rights associated with the selected roles. The access rights list instance is then stored to an access management data structure, and access to the group instance or group connected resources associated with the group is provided based on the access rights list.

Abstract: A wireless device starts, in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state, a small data transmission (SDT) time window for an SDT. The wireless device determines, based on one or more configured grant parameters, a first configured uplink grant for the SDT. The wireless device transmits, during the SDT time window and via the first configured uplink grant, an initial uplink transmission using a first power control adjustment (PCA) state set to zero. The wireless device receives, during the SDT time window, downlink control information (DCI) comprising a transmit power control command value. The wireless device transmits, using a second PCA state and during the SDT time window, a second uplink transmission subsequent to the initial uplink transmission. The second PCA state is based on: the first PCA state and the transmit power control command value.

Abstract: The present document describes techniques for providing a context-based user interface. These techniques include an electronic device having a user interface that dynamically adapts to a context of a visitor or a type of visitor. Characteristics associated with the visitor are detected, using sensors, and used to determine a context of the visitor. The user interface is then populated with curated, customized context-based options that correspond to the context of the visitor. The context-based options represent possible reasons for the visitor's visit and are estimated based on the detected characteristics. The visitor interacts with the user interface to select an appropriate context-based option to convey their intent for visiting an occupant of a building associated with the electronic device. Then, a notification associated with the selected context-based option is provided.

Abstract: A database system is operable to determine a first query that indicates a first request to generate a Gaussian mixture model. The first query is executed to generate Gaussian mixture model data for the Gaussian mixture model based on generating a training set of rows based on accessing a plurality of rows of a relational database table of a relational database, generating initial cluster parameter data, and performing an iterative process to generate final cluster parameter data by updating the initial cluster parameter data. A second query is executed to generate model output of the Gaussian mixture model for the input data based on the final cluster parameter data.

Abstract: An audio customization system operates to enhance a user's audio environment. A user may wear headphones and specify what portion the ambient audio and/or source audio will be transmitted to the headphones or the personal speaker system. The audio signal may be enhanced by application of a spatialized transformation using a spatialization engine such as head-related transfer functions so that at least a portion of the audio presented to the personal speaker system will appear to originate from a particular direction. The direction may be modified in response to movement of the personal speaker system.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for, and includes, pharmaceutical formulations comprising an MANP peptide, methods of preparing such formulations, and uses of such formulations in the treatment of diseases and conditions for which use of the peptide contained in such formulations is indicated. Abstract: A method for video coding includes obtaining a coding block of a video bitstream, determining whether a joint coding of motion vector difference (JMVD) is used for predicting the coding block, obtaining, based on determining that the JMVD is used selected for predicting the coding block, scaling factors, deriving a motion vector difference (MVD) for one or more reference frame lists based on an application of the scaling factors to one or more components of the JMVD along one or more pre-defined directions, and reconstructing the coding block based on at least the derived MVD.

Abstract: Systems and processes for cracking hydrocarbons to produce olefins herein includes heating a hydrocarbon feedstock or a mixture comprising steam and hydrocarbons to a first temperature to form a preheated feed, and also include heating steam to a second, higher, temperature in a turbomachine to form a superheated reaction steam. The preheated feed is then mixed with the superheated reaction steam to form a reaction mixture at a cracking temperature, thereby cracking the hydrocarbons to form olefins, producing a reaction effluent. The reaction effluent is then quenched and separated effluent to recover the olefins.

Abstract: Composites materials comprising continuous fibers and a polymer matrix including a thermoplastic polymer and a high aspect ratio filler are disclosed. Abstract: A method for weather modification and precipitation enhancement can include transmitting a beam of a pulsed laser to promote interactions in clouds by generating shock wave and acoustic wave in the clouds. A repetition rate of the pulsed laser can be between about 1 kHz and about 200 kHz, which can be modulated arbitrarily. The interactions can induce convection and turbulence within the clouds, improving a collision-coalescence process and facilitating effective precipitation from the clouds. Furthermore, the method involves the arbitrary modulation of the repetition rate of the pulsed laser, which can generate acoustic waves with a wide range of frequencies. This capability can lead to acoustic agglomeration and, in turn, enhance the collision-coalescence process for precipitation. The method can further include steering the beam in a helical or spiral path to increase a scale of rainfall enhancement.

A reference block vector is determined based on template matching information of a merge candidate selected from the merge candidate list. The reference block vector is refined to obtain a refined reference block vector for the current block. The current block is reconstructed based on a reference block indicated by the refined reference block vector.

Based on reflected radar signals, a target may be identified. Various characteristics of the target can be analyzed. In response to characteristics, lighting may be activated and aimed at the target. A camera may be used to capture and record images of the illuminated target.

Abstract: A diaphragm valve assembly includes a bonnet portion and a body portion affixed together through a clamp structure providing pressure to a perimeter seal through angled inside surface of the clamp and matching angled surfaces of the bonnet and body portions. While the clamp provides load on the perimeter seal, a second level of sealing may be accomplished through an O-ring seal between the bonnet portion and the body portion. An adapter structure may be used to affix conventional bonnet and body portions through a clamp. The adapter structure may be implemented in various forms. A weir of the body portion and a bead of the bonnet portion may be aligned through fold-over or extended tabs of the diaphragm and cushion.

Abstract: A method of tracking golf play includes receiving a plurality of coordinate sets corresponding to a plurality of shot to locations of golf balls hit by a plurality of players on a hole in a golf event. The plurality of coordinate sets were automatically captured in sensor data of a plurality of sensor device coordinate sources positioned around the hole. Hole events corresponding to strokes of the plurality of players on the hole in the golf event are received that were automatically detected in sensor data of a sensor device hole event sources. Each hole event may be automatically associated with one of the plurality of coordinate sets that correspond to the shot to location of the golf ball for the stroke the hole event corresponds to generate detailed scoring data for the plurality of players on the hole in the golf event.
