Abstract: A portable, single-fixation, magnetic derailment mitigation device may be fixed on a rail track for measuring the deflection of the rail track. The magnetically fixing device is used for measuring vertical track deflection (sleeper voids), horizontal track deflection, ambient and rail temperature, rail angle, vibration, displacement, and location. The derailment mitigation device sends digital notifications and/or alarms during the live train and/or freight operations to help prevent derailments, rail buckles, breaks, and pull apart. The measured data and/or all events obtained from the derailment mitigation device is stored in the data storage such as cloud storage and viewed from any smart devices.
Abstract: The invention relates to a system and method for navigating an autonomous driving vehicle (ADV) that utilizes an-onboard computer and/or one or more ADV control system nodes in an ADV network platform. The on-board computer receives physiological and ADV occupant identification sensor data concerning one or more occupants occupying an ADV, sensor data concerning the items being transported within the ADV, and information concerning the ADV itself to aid border security agencies in protecting their respective borders and territories (e.g., international borders, security zone borders, geographical borders, etc.). The relevant border agency can receive certain information over a network concerning one or more ADVs and make a determination if a heightened security screening should be requested.
Abstract: A rivetless nut plate for attachment to a panel via a panel bore, having a nut, a washer, and a cage that retains the nut and the washer. The nut plate has a nonactivated state and an activated state. In the activated state a portion of the cage is expanded to grip the panel bore, and the nut has split into two independent sections allowing one section to move throughout a constrained range of motion.
Abstract: A drug injection device consists of a body, a cap, a striker, a spin wheel, a button, a spring, an ampoule, and optionally a needle. Each of the body, the cap, the striker, the spin wheel and the button is a molded plastic part, made out of mostly polycarbonate, which slide, snap, screw or rest in place, without the use of adhesives or fasteners. Also disclosed is a system for recycling a drug injection device having molded plastic parts made from mostly polycarbonates, comprising disassembling the drug injection device, separating the molded plastic parts from all other parts, and reprocessing the molded plastic parts together into recycled resin, which may be through regrinding, melting, and pelletizing.

Abstract: A lens for distribution of light predominantly toward a preferential side from a light emitter having an emitter axis. The lens has a faceted output region, a smooth output surface and at least one reflective surface which reflects light through total-internal-reflection (TIR) toward the faceted output region. Abstract: Systems and methods for low-manganese welding alloys are disclosed. An example arc welding consumable may comprise: between 0.4 and 1.0 wt % manganese; strengthening agents selected from the group consisting of nickel, cobalt, copper, carbon, molybdenum, chromium, vanadium, silicon, and boron; and grain control agents selected from the group consisting of niobium, tantalum, titanium, zirconium, and boron. The grain control agents may comprise greater than 0.06 wt % and less than 0.6 wt % of the welding consumable. The resulting weld deposit may comprise a tensile strength greater than or equal to 70 ksi, a yield strength greater than or equal to 58 ksi, a ductility (as measured by percent elongation) of at least 22%, and a Charpy V-notch toughness greater than or equal to 20 ft-lbs at ?20° F. The welding consumable may provide a manganese fume generation rate less than 0.01 grams per minute during the arc welding operation.

A volume of dehydrated air may pass around a helical air diverter, located in an annulus between the inner drum and the outer drum, and through the grain, thereby drying the grain.
Abstract: The disclosed systems and methods may receive a data record from either a legacy data source or a modern data source and determine whether the record satisfies a first set of validation rules. When the record fails to satisfy the first set of rules, reject the record for storage in a data store. When the record satisfies the first set of rules, determine whether the record satisfies a second set of validation rules. When the record satisfies the second set of rules, store the record in the data store with an indicator that the record satisfies the all rules. When the record fails to satisfy the second set of rules, if the source was a modern data source reject the record, and if the source was a legacy data source store the record in the data store with an indicator that it fails to satisfy the second set of rules.
Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method may include synchronizing a timing scheme between a display and a camera. The method may also include triggering, using a display trigger based on the timing scheme, the display to display a content frame, and triggering, using a capture trigger based on the timing scheme, the camera to capture the displayed content frame. The method may further include building a timeline of frame events for the displayed content frame and the captured content frame, and matching, using the timeline of frame events, the displayed content frame with the captured content frame. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to processing operations configured to improve data ingestion processing for management of domain-specific data through a software data platform. Insights may be automatically generated and provided to the user through the GUI, which may help to guide the administrator through the data mapping process. In further examples, generated insights may be provided as recommendations (or autocorrections) designed to foster a successful data mapping to aid provisioning of data.
