Abstract: Disclosed are methods and compositions comprising fibroblasts and/or products derived thereof for the inhibition and/or treatment of addiction of any kind, such as opioid addiction. In some embodiments, methods comprise treating a patient addicted to opioids by administering a fibroblast population at a concentration sufficient for suppression of addiction-associated brain damage. In some embodiments, the fibroblasts express CD31 and/or CD73 markers. In some embodiments, fibroblasts are used to endow neuronal regeneration in order to overcome changes in the brain associated with addiction. Some embodiments relate to the stimulation of hippocampal regeneration subsequent to addiction induced damage.

Abstract: Examples of air treatment systems for use in neutralizing airborne pathogens are disclosed herein. The air treatment systems comprise a housing, an air moving device, and one or more sources of ultraviolet light. An airflow may be directed through the enclosure by the air moving device and exposed to the ultraviolet light sources disposed within the enclosure. In some examples, the air treatment systems include one or more baffles disposed within the enclosure to disrupt the linear flow of air through the enclosure and cause more uniform exposure to the ultraviolet light emitted by the sources of ultraviolet light. Some examples may also include one or more air filters for removing particulate matter.

Abstract: A video server is configured to provide streaming video to players of computer games over a computing network. The video server can provided video of different games to different players simultaneously. This is accomplished by rendering several video streams in parallel using a single GPU. The output of the GPU is provided to graphics processing pipelines that are each associated with a specific client/player and are dynamically allocated as needed. A client qualifier may be used to assure that only clients capable of presenting the streaming video to a player at a minimum level of quality receive the video stream.

Abstract: A flash controller for managing at least one MLC non-volatile memory module and at least one SLC non-volatile memory module. The flash controller is adapted to determine if a range of addresses listed by an entry and mapped to said at least one MLC non-volatile memory module fails a data integrity test. In the event of such a failure, the controller remaps said entry to an equivalent range of addresses of said at least one SLC non-volatile memory module. The flash controller is further adapted to determine which of the blocks in the MLC and SLC non-volatile memory modules are accessed most frequently and allocating those blocks that receive frequent writes to the SLC non-volatile memory module and those blocks that receive infrequent writes to the MLC non-volatile memory module.
Abstract: A breaching device includes a body having a tamping material. The body has a target surface that is configured to face a target to be breached and a backing surface that is opposite the target surface. The tamping material is formed of gel and is configured to reflect an explosive force directed way from the target surface towards the target surface.
Abstract: In some embodiments, a method for recommending content based on network conditions comprises: receiving, from a first user device, a request to present media content recommendations on the first user device; in response to receiving the request, determining information indicating a user context associated with the first user device and network connectivity information associated with a connection status of the first user device over a communications network; identifying a group of media content items to recommend based on the user context and the network connectivity information; and causing recommendations for the group of media content items to be presented on the first user device.

Abstract: A rain sensor in a vehicle includes a transmitter to implement a pseudorandom modulation of a timing of emission of infrared transmissions toward a windshield of the vehicle. The rain sensor also includes a receiver to be active for only a specified period of time following each emission of the infrared transmissions and to receive a reflection based on the infrared transmission encountering any substance on the windshield.
Abstract: An archery bow sight is provided including an adjuster having a homing pin indexed within a homing slot to prevent a sight housing from free spinning with a round elongated arm in a round arm hole of the adjuster when the adjuster is operated by a user to move the sight housing relative to a mounting bracket. The adjuster can include a dial that interacts with threads on the elongated arm, which can cover a large portion of the arm and provide additional adjustability. The adjuster can include an adjustment control having a shaft that engages the homing pin forcibly with the homing slot and arm to lock the arm in a fixed position relative to the bracket in a lock mode. A related method of use is also provided.
Abstract: Plurality of layers form a nuclear fission reactor structure, each layer having an inner segment body, an intermediate segment body, and an outer segment body (each segment body separated by an interface). The layers include a plurality of cladding arms having involute curve shapes that spirally radiate outward from a radially inner end to a radially outer end. Chambers in the involute curve shaped cladding arm contain fuel compositions (and/or other materials such as moderators and poisons). The design of the involute curve shaped cladding arms and the composition of the materials conform to neutronic and thermal management requirements for the nuclear fission reactor and are of sufficiently common design and/or have sufficiently few variations as to reduce manufacturing complexity and manufacturing variability.
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of apparatuses, systems and methods for detecting activities associated with theft of a substance flowing through the pipeline. Such activities are determined by correlating pipeline sensor signals to anomalistic reference signals characterizing activity(ies) known to be associated with theft of a substance flowing through a pipeline—e.g., formation of a hole within a tubular member of the pipeline, a liquid being pumped into the pipeline through a wall of a tubular member thereof, a metallic article (e.g., drill) coming into contact with a tubular member of the pipeline, and the like. Advantageously, fiber optic sensors are utilized for such monitoring of vibrations and other operating conditions in elongated tubular members making up the pipeline thereby enabling activities associated with theft of a substance from the pipeline to be effectively and inexpensively detected over extended lengths of pipelines.
Abstract: To replace text in a digital video image sequence, a system will process frames of the sequence to: define a region of interest (ROI) with original text in each of the frames; use the ROIs to select a reference frame from the sequence; select a target frame from the sequence; determine a transform function between the ROI of the reference frame and the ROI of the target frame; replace the original text in the ROI of the reference frame with replacement text to yield a modified reference frame ROI; and use the transform function to transform the modified reference frame ROI to a modified target frame ROI in which the original text is replaced with the replacement text. The system will then insert the modified target frame ROI into the target frame to produce a modified target frame. This process may repeat for other target frames of the sequence.

Abstract: Systems and methods for adaptive power factor correction are described that utilize a circuit that senses a current or frequency of a line and controls one or more switches to vary the capacitance of the circuit based on the measured current or frequency. Two or more branches can be used to allow for the capacitance of the circuit to be varied over time in response to a change in the measured current or frequency. Using such systems and methods, a high power factor can be maintained even for higher line frequencies and lighter loads.

Abstract: A light inspection system positions an autonomous vehicle (AV) in a field of view of a camera such that the camera captures an image of a light of the AV. The light inspection system instructs a camera to capture an image of the light while the light is switched on. The light inspection system receives the captured image, determines a luminance of the light based on the image, and determines to service the light in response to the luminance of the light being below a threshold luminance.

Abstract: Generating and/or recommending command bundles for a user of an automated assistant. A command bundle comprises a plurality of discrete actions that can be performed by an automated assistant. One or more of the actions of a command bundle can cause transmission of a corresponding command and/or other data to one or more devices and/or agents that are distinct from devices and/or agents to which data is transmitted based on other action(s) of the bundle. Implementations determine command bundles that are likely relevant to a user, and present those command bundles as suggestions to the user. In some of those implementations, a machine learning model is utilized to generate a user action embedding for the user, and a command bundle embedding for each of a plurality of command bundles. Command bundle(s) can be selected for suggestion based on comparison of the user action embedding and the command bundle embeddings.
