Abstract: A nozzle assembly for a fire suppression system includes a body having an inlet end for receiving a flow of fire extinguishing agent from the fire suppression system at an inlet pressure and a nozzle portion extending from the body. The nozzle portion includes an interior cavity having an outlet end, a center body arranged within the interior cavity adjacent the outlet end, and a plurality of exit orifices formed in an outer wall of the nozzle portion, in communication with the interior cavity, for vectoring the flow of fire extinguishing agent exiting therefrom and to reduce a noise level of the nozzle assembly. At least one perforated filter member is positioned upstream from the plurality of exit orifices formed in the nozzle portion, for reducing the inlet pressure of the flow of fire extinguishing agent.

Abstract: A control device for a ceiling fan may have a motor drive circuit configured to control a rotational speed of a motor of the ceiling fan, an occupancy sensing circuit, and a control circuit configured to adjust the rotational speed of the motor in response to a detected occupancy or vacancy condition. The control circuit may process the signals generated by the occupancy sensing circuit to eliminate the effects of vibrations and/or wobbling of the ceiling fan. The control circuit may control the motor drive circuit to adjust the rotational speed of the motor in response to an accelerometer to minimize the magnitude of the wobble of the ceiling fan. The control circuit may be configured to learn a preferred rotational speed for the motor. The control circuit may also be configured to control the rotational speed of the motor to affect a thermal comfort level of an occupant.

Abstract: The holder rests or attaches to the ledge of a sink and stores a tool such as a toothbrush in an inverted position to drain into the sink basin. The holder includes a base cooperating with a suction cup, a post with at least one notch, and an arm with slots to hold the tool handle. In most cases, a three-walled shield protects the stored tool from splashes or debris created in the sink during regular use. The angle of the tool holder advantageously encourages any liquid debris on the tool to drain away from the tool as it dries during storage. In one example, a toothbrush handle rests in the notch and contacts the arm extending over the sink. The cleaning head, bristles, razor, or other working end of the tool will desirably hang to enhance the hygienic storage of the tool. A cover protects the tool from splashes.

Abstract: The oral cavity is an ideal-site for small molecule, nutrient and/or nutraceutical delivery to the systemic circulation due to the highly-vascularized, oral mucosa, near-neutral pH conditions, and avoidance of gastric and first-pass degradation. Accordingly, novel, saccharide-based, food-form, portable, individually wrapped, oral delivery systems that attach to these four, highly absorptive surfaces (e.g. gingival, buccal, soft palatal, sublingual) for a longer contact-duration than current orally available formulas resulting in greater, small molecule bioavailability, and a more rapid, therapeutic effect are preferred and described.

Abstract: A tendon-driven robotic gripper is disclosed for performing fingertip and enveloping grasps. One embodiment comprises two fingers, each with two links, and is actuated using a single active tendon. During unobstructed closing, the distal links remain parallel, creating exact fingertip grasps. Conversely, if the proximal links are stopped by contact with an object, the distal links start flexing, creating a stable enveloping grasp. The route of the active tendon and the parameters of the springs providing passive extension forces are optimized in order to achieve this behavior. An additional passive tendon is disclosed that may be used as a constraint preventing the gripper from entering undesirable parts of the joint workspace. A method for optimizing the dimensions of the links in order to achieve enveloping grasps of a large range of objects is disclosed and applied to a set of common household objects.

Abstract: Color temperature in a space may be adjusted by controlling one or more lighting control devices (e.g., which control one or more lighting fixtures). Light may enter the space through a window. As a result of daylight control devices associated with the window, the color temperature of light that is entering the space may not be equal to a color temperature of light from outside of the space. Abstract: Validation of alt text for images in web pages includes extracting image data from the web pages, the image data including source data and alt text data for a plurality of image elements in the web pages. Natural language descriptions of the image elements are generated by providing images defined by the source data to a computer vision component. Prompts are then generated for a semantic comparison model. The prompts include the natural language descriptions of image elements and the alt text for the image elements. The semantic comparison model is trained to output similarity scores for the prompts. Each of the similarity scores is indicative of a similarity between the natural language description and the alt text data for the image element associated with each prompt. Image elements having inaccurate alt text can then be determined based the similarity score.

Abstract: A dental implant assembly comprises a base member and an abutment member. The base member is adapted for placement into an opening in a jawbone and comprises elongated vertically parallel side walls coupled with opposing curved end walls which together define an eccentrically shaped external surface and an eccentrically shaped internal cavity. The base member also includes an eccentrically shaped curved lip which couples top edge perimeters of the external surface and the internal cavity to one another. The abutment member is adapted for placement into the eccentrically shaped internal cavity of the base member. Responsive to placement of the abutment member in the eccentrically shaped internal cavity of the base member, a trans-gingival emergence profile is formed between the eccentrically shaped curved lip and a region of the lower portion between the eccentrically shaped curved lip and the shoulder.

Abstract: A data processing system implements techniques for automatically generating visualizations of content for meetings on an online communications platform. The visualizations are interactive and encourage participant engagement. The system automatically generates the visualizations based on a transcript of the meeting and other information associated with the meeting as the meeting is taking place. The system determines a meeting category based on this information and suggests a visualization layout based on the meeting category. Abstract: An integrated circuit includes a set of N unit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) having a common architecture, and which provide an aggregate data rate. Moreover, the integrated circuit includes control logic that selects subsets of the set of N unit ADCs in order to realize sub-ADCs of different data rates that can each be an arbitrary integer multiple of an inverse of N times the aggregate data rate of the N unit ADCs. Furthermore, the control logic may dynamically select the subsets on the fly or on a frame-by-frame basis. This dynamically selection may occur at boot time and/or a runtime. Additionally, the given different data rate may correspond to one or more phases of a multi-phase clock in the integrated circuit, where the multiphase clock may include a number of phases corresponding to a number of possible subsets, and given selected subsets may not use all of the available phases.
