  • Patent number: 11916363
Abstract: A temporary protective cover for a junction box has a sheet-like rectangular body with cleats at top and bottom ends. The cleats are flange-like formations bent at preferably non-right angles designed to press against embossments inside the cavity of a junction box. One or both cleats may be fitted with a notch to facilitate overlapping placement to accommodate large-size junction boxes. A stop tab extends laterally outwardly from each cleat and serves to limit penetration of the covering into the cavity of a junction box. One or two small removal holes are located in the body of the cover, near to the cleats, to facilitate removal from a junction box.

  • Patent number: 11917420
Abstract: An enhanced network environment is provided by provisioning a device to utilize the 6 GHz frequency band. The device requires provisioning so as not to interfere with legacy systems. The provisioning requires that the two-dimensional location of the device be obtained and sent to a topographical mapping network resource to obtain an accurate ground location for the terrain. The elevation is then modified based on an actual height from ground level of the device. The location of the device can then be sent to an automated frequency controller (AFC) resource to obtain an equivalent isotropically radiated power mask that can be used to provision the device so that the device can operate in the 6 GHz frequency band without causing interference with any other systems. Once provisioned, the device can be registered with the AFC resource.

  • Patent number: 11917175
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for video encoding/decoding are provided. In some examples, an apparatus for video decoding includes receiving circuitry and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry decodes prediction information of a current block in a current picture from a coded video bitstream. The prediction information is indicative of an inter prediction mode. Then, the processing circuitry determines a usage of a first DMVD process on the current block at least partially based on a second DMVD process not being used on the current block. Further, the processing circuitry reconstructs the current block according to the inter prediction mode with the first DMVD process.

  • Patent number: 11917062
Abstract: Key rotation verification without decryption is provided. Two ciphertext inputs encrypted from a plaintext input by an encryption function using different cryptographic keys are input, wherein the encryption function is selected from a function family having an output space of one or more convex sets. A divergence between the two ciphertext inputs is computed. A membership oracle is executed on the two ciphertext inputs, wherein the two ciphertext inputs are determined to be members of the same convex set of the one or more convex sets if the computed divergence satisfies a separation condition. The two ciphertext inputs are validated to both correspond to the same plaintext input, responsive to determining that the two ciphertext inputs are members of the same convex set, wherein the two ciphertext inputs do not correspond to the same plaintext input if the two ciphertext inputs are not members of the same convex set.

  • Patent number: 11917011
Abstract: A method by a rendering device includes receiving a request to render multiple surfaces corresponding to multiple virtual objects to be concurrently displayed on an augmented-reality (AR) headset. The method further includes that the AR headset is connected to the rendering device via a wireless link. In response to a determination that a network quality of the wireless link is below a threshold condition, the method further includes selecting a first subset of the multiple surfaces that are higher priority than a second subset of the plurality of surfaces. The method includes transmitting the first subset of multiple surfaces to the AR headset for display and transmitting the second subset of multiple surfaces to the AR headset for display after transmitting the first subset. This method includes rendering the surfaces in accordance with a set of rendering parameters so as to satisfy one or more network constraints.

  • Patent number: 11917128
Abstract: A motion field estimate determined using motion vector information of two or more reference frames of a current/encoded frame is used to derive a motion vector for inter-prediction of the current/encoded frame. Motion trajectory information, including concatenated motion vectors and locations of the current/encoded frame at which those concatenated motion vectors point, is determined by concatenating motion vectors of the reference frames. A motion field estimate is determined using the motion trajectory information and, in some cases, by interpolating unavailable motion vectors using neighbors. The motion field estimate is used to determine a co-located reference frame for the current/encoded frame, and an inter-prediction process is performed for the current/encoded frame using a motion vector derived using the co-located reference frame.

  • Patent number: 11911101
Abstract: Optical fibers used to deliver laser energy inside the body are often twisted and bent when passed through tortuous routes in accessing the target tissue or pathology, e.g. during the ureteroscopic laser lithotripsy. When an irregular laser output that is produced at the start of the lasing process is channeled through a fiber that is bent at or near the bend limit, fail safe polymer claddings are damaged and can no longer contain even regular laser output in tight deflection. A common resulting fiber failure, known as ‘fiber burn through’, results in injuries to patients and is a major cause of damage to ureteroscopes. Discussed are the systems and methodologies providing a solution to such premature fiber failure.
