  • Patent number: 11975714
Abstract: Presented are embedded control systems with logic for computation and data sharing, methods for making/using such systems, and vehicles with distributed sensors and embedded processing hardware for provisioning automated driving functionality. A method for operating embedded controllers connected with distributed sensors includes receiving a first data stream from a first sensor via a first embedded controller, and storing the first data stream with a first timestamp and data lifespan via a shared data buffer in a memory device. A second data stream is received from a second sensor via a second embedded controller. A timing impact of the second data stream is calculated based on the corresponding timestamp and data lifespan. Upon determining that the timing impact does not violate a timing constraint, the first data stream is purged from memory and the second data stream is stored with a second timestamp and data lifespan in the memory device.

  • Patent number: 11974945
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to improve or restore vision by causing a rebooting of the visual system of an eye with modification of visual search, sampling and stimulation away from the preferred retinal locus of fixation of an eye to enhance neural integration and perception of visual information from within the field of view are described herein. Some embodiments cause transient, reversible or repeatable redirection of environmental light away from the preferred retinal locus of fixation of an eye to multiple retinal locations that are not the preferred retinal locus of fixation. Some embodiments reduce exposure of environmental light at the preferred retinal locus of fixation of an eye for a determinable interval at a determinable rate. Some embodiments cause a defocusing of environmental light at the preferred retinal locus of fixation in an eye with a visual impairment or loss.

  • Patent number: 11979601
Abstract: Innovations in encoder-side search ranges having horizontal bias or vertical bias are described herein. For example, a video encoder determines a block vector (“BV”) for a current block of a picture, performs intra prediction for the current block using the BV, and encodes the BV. The BV indicates a displacement to a region within the picture. When determining the BV, the encoder checks a constraint that the region is within a BV search range having a horizontal bias or vertical bias. The encoder can select the BV search range from among multiple available BV search ranges, e.g., depending at least in part on BV values of one or more previous blocks, which can be tracked in a histogram data structure.

  • Patent number: 11977552
Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for improvements for reducing client-server network traffic. For example, methods and systems allow for the reduction of client-server network traffic by altering search filters based on their respective rank and/or frequencies of being searched with other search filters included in a search query. In this way, users do not have to resubmit queries that are illogical or would return a null set of search results. For example, a first query may be received. A first search may be performed based on the first query. A first search filter may be selected based on a hierarchical tree structure of search filters. A second query may be generated comprising the first search filter and one or more other search filters, wherein the second query comprises fewer search filters than the first query, and a second search may be performed based on the second query.

  • Patent number: 11978538
Abstract: Methods of associating a test compound with a compound property. One or more datasets including: for each of a plurality of cell lines and each of a plurality of compounds: for each respective exposure condition: a corresponding response signature for the respective compound in the respective cell line under the respective exposure condition is obtained. A correlation is determined for each unique combination of exposure conditions for a respective pair of compounds based on the corresponding response signature. A weight is determined for each respective pair of compounds based on the determined correlations. A plurality of compound clusters is formed, where each cluster represents compounds that satisfy one or more weight criteria with respect to a particular compound. A compound property of the test compound is determined from properties of one or more compounds in a one or more compound clusters that contain the test compound.

  • Patent number: 11978320
Abstract: Systems and computer-implemented methods for a bet exchange. The bet exchange receives bet orders from users and matches bet-for orders with bet-against orders to generate instances of standardized bet contracts. The bet-for orders are bets on a bet event occurring, and bet-against orders are bets on a bet event not occurring. The bet events have a standardized payout amount, which is used to determine a value to transfer to the trader that made the bet-for order when the bet event occurs, or to the trader that made the bet-against order when the bet event does not occur.

  • Patent number: 11979813
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for data packet routing in a remote unit. An apparatus includes a memory coupled to a processor, where the processor configured to cause the apparatus to receive a data packet to be transmitted and determine a matching UE route selection policy (“URSP”) rule for the data packet. The processor is configured to determine packet routing information for the data packet if the matching URSP rule does not indicate that direct offload of the data packet is preferred and determine whether the packet routing information matches a first network connection. Upon determining that the packet routing information matches the first network connection, the processor is configured to cause the apparatus to transmit the data packet to a mobile communication network over the first network connection.

  • Patent number: 11978091
Abstract: The technology generally relates to automatically associating products and services to be advertised in response to a search query and providing sponsored advertisements for output with the search query results on a publisher's website or mobile application. An ad advertiser may create an ad campaign for products without including or identifying keywords associated with the product. Upon receiving a request for an advertisement, an ad server may generate synonyms, or keywords, for the terms in the request. The ad server generated keywords may be used to identify available products that match, or are relevant to, the search query. The ad server may determine a quality of the match and, based on the quality, determine which products are most relevant to the search query. The ad server may solicit bids from the advertisers of the relevant ad campaigns. The winning ads may be returned to the publisher for output.

  • Patent number: 11979390
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for providing vendors an alternative to a password-based security system. The system and method also allows vendors to manage secure transactions by leveraging various message authentication techniques while allowing the vendor full control over related processes such as payment processing and fulfillment. The system and method also monitors message requests from customers for the vendor to guarantee that the communication has not been compromised. Consolidating the authentication of users to their messaging minimizes the need for each individual vendor to maintain their own password for access to a customer account. This eliminates the requirement that customers generate a password thus increasing convenience and decreasing security risks associated with the use of passwords. This decreases risk not only for customer and vendor but also decreases the risk exposure across the internet-as the system scales.
