Abstract: Described herein is electromagnetic shielding that is configured to attenuate electromagnetic interference (EMI) by at least a threshold amount when the EMI has a frequency within a predefined frequency range. The electromagnetic shielding includes a layer of metal, such as aluminum foil, and a layer of thermoplastic polymer fabric (such as woven polyethylene fabric), where the electromagnetic shielding has several apertures that extend therethrough. The electromagnetic shielding is at least partially draped over electronic equipment that is to be shielded from EMI.
Abstract: A container assembly includes a container (or cup) and a lid, and functions as a training cup assembly. The lid activates by a force applied by the user of the cup in order to withdraw fluid from inside the cup volume. The training cup feature permits removal of the contents from the cup while mitigating against leaks and/or spills.
Abstract: A wireless device may receive radio resource control (RRC) messaging comprising a field indicating a starting symbol for a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). The wireless device may monitor for at least one PDCCH candidate. A PDCCH candidate may start based on a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure, the starting symbol, and the offset value.
Abstract: The technology described in this document can be embodied in a computer-implemented method that includes receiving, at a processing system, a first signal including an output of a speaker device and an additional audio signal. The method also includes determining, by the processing system, based at least in part on a model trained to identify the output of the speaker device, that the additional audio signal corresponds to an utterance of a user. The method further includes initiating a reduction in an audio output level of the speaker device based on determining that the additional audio signal corresponds to the utterance of the user.

Abstract: In general, techniques are described by which to enable a transparency mode in vehicles. A device comprising one or more microphones and one or more processors may be configured to perform the techniques. The microphones may capture audio data representative of a sound scene external to a vehicle. The processors may perform beamforming with respect to the audio data to obtain object audio data representative of an audio object in the sound scene external to the vehicle. The processors may next reproduce, by interfacing with one or more speakers included within the vehicle and based on the object audio data, the audio object in the sound scene external to the vehicle.
Abstract: Examples are disclosed that relate to display devices having a common light path region. One example provides a display device comprising a light source configured to emit illumination light along an illumination path, and a spatial light modulator configured to modulate the illumination light and emit the modulated illumination light as image light along an imaging path, wherein at least a portion of the illumination path and at least a portion of the imaging path extend through a common light path region. The display device further comprises one or more optical elements positioned within the common light path region, at least one optical element being configured to guide the illumination light as the illumination light travels through the common light path region toward the spatial light modulator, and shape the image light as the image light travels through the common light path region.
Abstract: An artificial intelligence system for generating zoological instruction sets from biological extractions. The system includes a computing device, configured to retrieve a biological extraction pertaining to an animal. The computing device is further configured to generate a zoological classifier wherein the zoological classifier utilizes a biological extraction as an input and outputs a zoological profile. The computing device is further configured to receive a zoological input from a remote device, wherein the zoological input identifies a zoological habit. The computing device is further configured to select a zoological machine-learning model utilizing a zoological input, wherein the zoological machine-learning model utilizes a zoological profile as an input and outputs a zoological instruction set. The computing device is further configured to calculate a zoological instruction set utilizing a zoological machine-learning model.
Abstract: A load sharing bone plate has a plurality of directional apertures configured to effectively support and share the load with a fractured bone to promote healing. A load sharing bone plate may have a body portion that is thinner and be configured to be secured with smaller fasteners than conventional bone plates. A load sharing bone plate has a plurality of directional apertures, configured to direct a fastener is a specific orientation, such as in an oblique angle to the length and/or in an oblique angle to the width of the bone plate. A load sharing bone plate may be configured with a load sharing extension on at least one end that is configured to reduce stress concentration at the end of the bone plate. A load sharing extension may have a tapered thickness and/or width from the body portion to the extended end.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for rapid identification and access to relevant regulatory documents. A data model relating regulatory mandates and requirements to citations appearing within an enforcement document is used to rapidly access specific citations within an enforcement document. In the case of image-based enforcement documents, the originality of these documents is preserved while allowing a user to see where the relevant citations appear in the document images. The relevant citations are further compared to business policies to identify potential impacts of regulatory mandates and requirements.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and methods for creating and maintaining a virtual subnetwork of telecommunication base stations within a wider telecommunication network. In an LTE-based example, the subnetwork includes a connection aggregator that is coupled between the plurality of eNodeBs internal to the subnetwork and one or more MMEs in the outer network. The connection aggregator intercepts all control plane messages between the MMEs and the internal eNodeBs, remaps eNodeB identifiers, and transmits repackaged messages so that the outer network sees the entire subnetwork as a single “giant” eNodeB. The disclosed system and methods enables the operator of the virtual subnetwork to add and shut down eNodeBs as demand for connectivity fluctuates, and to do so such that all changes are unseen by the outer network.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for manufacturing a tower structure. Accordingly, one or more layers of a wall element are deposited with a printhead assembly. At least one recess is defined in the wall element. The recess(es) has a single, circumferential opening positioned along an inner reference curve or an outer reference curve of the wall element. The recess(es) also has a depth which extends in a radial direction and intersects a midline reference curve. A reinforcing element is placed entirely within the recess(es) at the midline reference curve.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for allowing vehicles access or egress from a dedicated roadway. In some implementations, a system includes a server, an interface, and sensors. The interface receives data from a railroad system that manages a railroad running parallel to a first roadway. The sensors are positioned in a location relative to the first and second roadway. Each sensor can detect vehicles on the second roadway. For each detected vehicle, each sensor can generate first sensor data based on the detected vehicle and the data received at the interface. Second sensor data can be generated based on activities on the first roadway. Observational data can be generated based on the first and second sensor data. An instruction can be determined to allow the detected vehicle access to the first roadway. The instruction can be transmitted to the detected vehicle.
Abstract: A first user device may receive, from a second user device, a request to communicatively couple to the first user device, and may establish a communication session with the second user device after receiving the request. The first user device may identify, after establishing the communication session, an inappropriate activity of the second user device relating to the communication session, and perform a set of actions based on identifying the inappropriate activity. The set of actions may include causing the communication session to be restricted, and providing, to a trust platform, a score for the second user device. The score may permit the trust platform to derive a composite score, indicative of a level of trustworthiness of the second user device, that enables other user devices, associated with the trust platform, to determine whether to grant access requests submitted by the second user device.
