Abstract: A mount for a device configured to monitor the movements or other activities of patient. Aspects include a monitoring unit and base, where the base may further include a pad with one or more pins extending into the base. The pad may be positioned inside a garment worn by a patient, the pins passing through the garment and electrically connecting to circuits in the fabric of the garment (e.g. a sock worn by the patient). The circuits may include sensors which are response to changes in pressure caused by patient movement. Output from the sensors may be carried by the circuits in the garment to the pins in the pad, and from there through the garment and into the base and the monitoring unit for processing and reporting to caregivers as needed.

  • Publication number: 20230421090
Abstract: A controller detects a rotor magnet temperature based on an actively detected back electromotive force (BEMF) voltage of the motor. The controller detects the BEMF voltage by commanding the injection of a direct-axis (d-axis) current into the motor while the motor is spinning but otherwise commanding no torque. The controller actively detects the BEMF voltage in that the controller purposely injects a known quantity of d-axis current at a chosen time during which the controller detects or is aware that the motor is commanding no torque. Using a quadrature-axis (q-axis) voltage equation, which describes the relationship between a voltage command, the current, the BEMF voltage, and reactance in the q-axis, the controller solves for the BEMF voltage with the voltage command, the current, and the q-axis reactance being known to the controller. The controller detects the rotor magnet temperature based on the BEMF voltage.

Abstract: A method includes generating first patterns indicating a data label and associating a candidate token of a text sequence with the data label by removing first tokens from the text sequence based on a match of the first tokens with a token of second patterns and selecting the candidate token from other tokens of the text sequence based on a match between the candidate token and a token of the second patterns. The method also includes updating a token sequence collection to comprise the candidate token and a context token, updating the second patterns with new patterns that match the candidate token and the context token, and removing a first pattern from the second patterns based on a determination that the first pattern matches with a token sequence associated with the test tokens.

The method may also select at least one video frame from the video frames according to a frame selection rate. The method may also partition the selected video frame into a first plurality of image blocks, and recognize, out of the first plurality of image blocks, a second plurality of image blocks which comprise an image of an object, the recognition being based on an image recognition parameter determined by a machine-learning algorithm. The method may also determine that at least one of the second plurality of image blocks corresponds to the object based on a likelihood metric, the likelihood metric being determined by the processor based on at least the frame selection rate, and display, on a display, information identifying the object.

Abstract: A precision adjustable length rod end assembly is disclosed and provides a fastener for mechanical assemblies that eliminates the need for a separate secondary locking device. The device includes a connecting rod, an end connector or rod end, and a lock nut assembly. The end connector threadably engages the connecting rod. The lock nut assembly engages both the end connector and the connecting rod. The threaded engagement between the end connector and the connecting rod enables the rod-end assembly to be adjusted to a precise working length (e.g., as measured along the central longitudinal axis). The lock nut assembly maintains the precision-adjusted working length of the rod-end assembly even when the rod-end assembly is exposed to harsh operating conditions, such as exposure to extreme vibrations.

Abstract: In a hierarchical communication network having a network controller at a highest network level and network devices at one or more lower network levels, where each network device at a lowest network level supports communications with one or more end nodes, the network controller supports an initial phase of a communication session between first and second end nodes, where communication signals transmitted from the first end node to the second end node traverse the network controller; determines that a subsequent phase of the communication session can be supported by a particular lower-level network device; and configures the lower-level network device to support the subsequent phase, wherein communication signals transmitted from the first end node to the second end node do not traverse the network controller, thereby potentially reducing the processing and/or memory requirements for the WLAN controller, WLAN controller and/or link costs, and/or latency and delay levels.
