Patent number: 11849310Abstract: This document describes techniques and devices to synchronize communications between devices in a wireless mesh network. Based on the requirements of an end device that sleeps (e.g., is out of communication with the wireless mesh network) for periods of time, the end device indicates to a parent wireless mesh network device that the end device wants to configure operations in a synchronized-reception mode, which causes the parent device to reply with an indication of the clock accuracy of the parent device. The end device uses the clock accuracy of the parent device to determine parameters for synchronized-reception and transmits the parameters to the parent device. The end device activates its receiver based on the parameters to receive data from the parent device.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 2022Date of Patent: December 19, 2023Assignee: Google LLCInventors: Jonathan Wing-Yan Hui, Martin A. Patent number: 11847250Abstract: Technologies are disclosed for a computing system that allows users to control the disclosure of their identities during communication sessions. Users can control the disclosure of their identities with respect to certain types of shared content. In one mode of operation, a user can share content anonymously. In another mode of operation, identity may be revealed when certain conditions are met or revealed to only certain other users. For example, the identity of a user who shared a comment anonymously may be revealed if multiple other users agree with that comment. In another mode of operation, the user's identity is revealed to all other users such as in a live video stream. The computing system can control display of users' identities based on user instructions or based on triggering conditions. A user interface (UI) can show content items that identify a user together with content items that are shared anonymously.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2021Date of Patent: December 19, 2023Assignee: MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY LICENSING, LLCInventors: Hannah Rebecca Lewbel, Isabel Sophie Sharp, Adam Michael Gleisner, Lindsey Conway, Clea Allington, Minu George, Samantha Robbie Courts, Margaret Arlene Grounds, Scott H. Patent number: 11848641Abstract: A self-regulated solar power delivery system for data center. The ambient temperature outside of the data center is monitored. When the temperature exceeds a preset threshold, a controller activates switches to connect a PV system to a DC/DC converter and the DC/DC converter to a plurality of thermoelectric coolers (TECs). When the temperature drops below a second threshold, the controller disconnects the PV system. In this manner, when additional cooling is needed the most, i.e., during hot ambient temperature, the PV system also generates the most energy and can be used to energize TECs which enhance heat transportation from the processors. The PV system may also be used to activate a liquid cooling pump or other cooling devices to enhance heat removal from the servers.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 2021Date of Patent: December 19, 2023Assignee: BAIDU USA LLCInventor: Tianyi Gao

Patent number: 11849144Abstract: Innovations for signaling state of a decoded picture buffer (“DPB”) and reference picture lists (“RPLs”). In example implementations, rather than rely on internal state of a decoder to manage and update DPB and RPLs, state information about the DPB and RPLs is explicitly signaled. This permits a decoder to determine which pictures are expected to be available for reference from the signaled state information. For example, an encoder determines state information that identifies which pictures are available for use as reference pictures (optionally considering feedback information from a decoder about which pictures are available). The encoder sets syntax elements that represent the state information. In doing so, the encoder sets identifying information for a long-term reference picture (“LTRP”), where the identifying information is a value of picture order count least significant bits for the LTRB. The encoder then outputs the syntax elements as part of a bitstream.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2022Date of Patent: December 19, 2023Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Gary J. Patent number: 11848013Abstract: Implementations set forth herein relate to an automated assistant capable of bypassing soliciting a user for supplemental data for completing an action when a previously-queried application is capable of providing the supplemental data. For instance, when a user invokes the automated assistant to complete a first action with a first application, the user may provide many pertinent details. Those details may be useful to a second application that the user may subsequently invoke via the automated assistant for completing a second action. In order to save the user from having to repeat the details to the automated assistant, the automated assistant can interact with the first application in order to obtain any information that may be essential for the second application to complete the second action. The automated assistant can then provide the information to the second application, without soliciting the user for the information.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 2018Date of Patent: December 19, 2023Assignee: GOOGLE LLCInventors: Scott Davies, Ruxandra Davies
