Abstract: A wireless device receives, from a base station, access network information. The wireless device determines, based on the access network information, an access network type. The wireless device selects, based on the access network type, a non-access stratum (NAS) period value from between a first NAS period value associated with a terrestrial network (TN) access network type; and a second NAS period value associated with a geostationary earth orbit (GEO) access network type. The wireless device sends, to an access and mobility management function (AMF), a first NAS request message. The wireless device starts, based on the sending the first NAS request message, a NAS period using the NAS period value.
Abstract: A control system for a vehicle has a powertrain system that includes electric power propulsion system and a second propulsion system, a geographical position sensing system, a geographic map database, and a controller. The controller monitors a geographic location of the vehicle determine the geographic location of the vehicle in relation to a first predefined region and a first user-identified region. The powertrain system is controlled to generate propulsion power employing only the electric power propulsion system when the geographic location of the vehicle is within the first predefined region and when the geographic location of the vehicle is within the first user-identified region. The powertrain system is controlled to generate propulsion power employing the second propulsion system when the geographic location of the vehicle is outside the first predefined region and outside the first user-identified region.

Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a system for a blender tub overflow catch is disclosed for fracturing operations using a fracturing fluid blender. In at least one embodiment, the system includes a first tub that may be a blender tub and a second tub forming a blender tub overflow catch that is adapted to circumvent an outside diameter of the first tub to catch overflow fluid from the first tub so that it can be directed back into the first tub upon a determination that the first tub has a capacity to handle the overflow fluid.
Abstract: A method may include receiving a request from a software application to print an electronic document; in response to the request, parsing the electronic document; based on the parsing, detecting a text element in a portion of the electronic document that is associated in a structure of the electronic document with a network link, the network link being different than the text element; modifying the portion of the electronic document with the text element to include a printable element encoded with the network link; and transmitting the electronic document as modified to a printer driver.
Abstract: A system and method to dynamically analyze digital media and select multimedia assets or items to render with correlated IP-connected media and apps. Hierarchical Taxonomy, Engagement-based and Neural-based asset matching is rendered with rule-based and Diminishing Perspective decision-making. A user can listen, view and interact with the correlated and rendered material using an input device native to the computing device being used to access the IP-connected media. Embodiments extract features from the digital media. The extracted features are semantically analyzed for an understanding of characteristics associated with the respective features. Topics are extracted from the digital media based on the characteristics. Stored assets are correlated to the extracted topics to select an asset based on characteristics of the extracted topics correlating with the selected asset. The selected asset is rendered with the digital media.

Abstract: A data processing system implements a method for training machine learning modes, including receiving a set of one or more unlabeled documents associated one or more first categories of documents to be used to train machine learning models to analyze the one or more unlabeled documents, and fine-tuning a first machine learning model and a second machine learning model based on the one or more unlabeled document to enable the first machine learning model to determine a semantic representation of the one or more first categories of document, and to enable the second machine learning model to classify the semantic representations according to the one or more first categories of documents, the first machine learning model and the second machine learning model having been trained using first unlabeled training data including a second plurality of categories of documents that do not include the one or more first categories of documents.
Abstract: A plasma engine includes a plasma source that generates ions from molecular gas species received at a gas input where at least some of the ions generated are atomic species ions. An ion extractor is configured to extract ions from the plasma source with an electric field. A housing comprising a recombination region receives ions extracted from the ion extractor. At least some of the atomic species ions recombine into molecular species in the housing, thereby releasing energy for thrust.

Abstract: A control system includes an energy management system in operation with intelligent, network-connected thermostats located in structures. The thermostats are operable to control heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Control during a demand response (DR) event period may be performed based on an optimal setpoint schedule of the HVAC system. Candidate setpoint schedules may be simulated to identify an optimal schedule.

Abstract: This document relates to securing ownership of devices to particular users when the devices are shipped directly from an original equipment manufacturer in order to prevent malicious use of devices that are lost or stolen. A purchaser may purchase a device from an original equipment manufacturer, and as part of the purchasing process, may provide ownership information for the device, which may include a user identifier and an identity provider. The ownership data can be written to firmware, and upon powering on of the device, the device can request a user identifier, which is then validated by the identity provider before allowing operating systems operations to continue on the device.
