Patent number: 11841038Abstract: The present invention relates to a panel clamp securable to a variety of mounting mechanisms. The clamp includes first and second members, each having an edge extending beyond at least a portion of its side surface to form an overhang, and each includes a plurality of holes passing therethrough. When the overhang of the first member is fitted over a top surface of a panel and the overhang of the second member is fitted over a bottom surface of the panel, such that the plurality of holes in the first member is substantially aligned with the plurality of holes in the second member, mechanical fasteners can be inserted through the plurality of holes to secure the first and second members to the panel. An additional mechanical fastener is inserted through the clamp to secure the clamp to a mounting mechanism.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2021Date of Patent: December 12, 2023Assignee: Solar Clam-P, LLCInventors: Samuel Park, Mahnyong Park

Patent number: 11842430Abstract: Systems and methods for segmenting scan data are disclosed. The methods include creating a graph from scan data representing a plurality of points in an environment associated with a ground and one or more objects, where the graph includes a plurality of vertices corresponding to the plurality of points in the environment, a first terminal vertex associated with the ground label, and a second terminal vertex associated with the non-ground label. A unary potential being the cost of assigning a vertex to a ground label or a non-ground label is assigned to each vertex, and a pairwise potential is assigned to each pair of neighboring vertices in the graph as a measure of a cost of assigning different labels. The methods include using the unary the pairwise potentials to identify labels for each point and segmenting the scan data to identify points associated with the ground.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2022Date of Patent: December 12, 2023Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLCInventor: John Peterson

Patent number: 11843757Abstract: Embodiments are described which exploit a finding, according to which a higher compression rate or better rate/distortion ratio may be achieved by adopting or predicting second coding parameters used for encoding a second view of the multi-view signal from first coding parameters used in encoding a first view of the multi-view signal. In other words, the inventors found out that the redundancies between views of a multi-view signal are not restricted to the views themselves, such as the video information thereof, but that the coding parameters in parallelly encoding these views show similarities which may be exploited in order to further improve the coding rate.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 2022Date of Patent: December 12, 2023Assignee: GE Video Compression, LLCInventors: Thomas Wiegand, Detlev Marpe, Karsten Mueller, Philipp Merkle, Gerhard Tech, Hunn Rhee, Heiko Schwarz

Patent number: 11841078Abstract: A transmission hydraulic control system includes a manual valve, a default valve, and a clutch prime valve. The manual valve allows fluid flow from a pressurized line to a drive line when the manual valve is open (when a transmission is in drive or reverse). The manual valve prevents fluid flow from the pressurized line to the drive line when the manual valve is closed (when the transmission is in neutral or park). The clutch prime valve allows fluid to flow from the pressurized line to the drive line, and thereby bypass the manual valve, when the manual valve is closed and the clutch prime valve is open. The default valve allows fluid bypassing the manual valve to flow to prime a clutch of the transmission when the default valve is open. The clutch prime valve prevents fluid from bypassing the manual valve when the clutch prime valve is closed.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 2021Date of Patent: December 12, 2023Assignee: GM GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS LLCInventors: Timothy Z.
