  • Patent number: 11839824
Abstract: A security-enhanced document includes a substrate and variable indicia comprising ink having a signal. The variable indicia is of a specific type and is applied to the substrate using a specific application technique. At least one other printed portion, which is a back of the document, has background ink noise, and the type of ink of the back of the document is of the same type of ink applied to the substrate using the same application technique as the ink of the variable indicia. The document also includes a scratch-off-coating applied over the variable indicia. The document has a signal-to-noise ratio of the ink of the variable indicia relative to the background ink noise of the back of the document that is not appreciable, thereby making the variable indicia unreadable with reference to the back of the document when the scratch-off-coating remains intact.

  • Patent number: 11839860
Abstract: This in-line active and reverse calculating mass balance blending system can maintain a chemical at desired control points, such as with respect to concentration, temperature, and/or pressure, while the output flow rate is changing dynamically to a point of use. A blending unit is configured to receive and blend at least two species and deliver a mixture at selected concentrations to points of use. A controller can be configured to determine a mass balance to maintain the concentrations in the mixture using information from metrology systems and a flow in an output to the at least one point of use. The controller also can be configured to maintain a concentration in the mixture within a concentration range by controlling flow rates to the blending unit.

  • Patent number: 11842840
Abstract: An inductive transducer apparatus for testing metallic objects using Pulsed Eddy Current topology. The Apparatus includes a transmitter coil, a receiver coil, and a hybrid core. The hybrid core has a high saturation point which allows the transducer to generate a strong initial magnetic field that may further induce strong eddy currents on the surface of the target capable of penetrating deep into metallic objects under inspection. The hybrid core also has a high permeability which enhances the transducer's sensitivity and allows to maintain high signal-to-noise-ratio and of the received signal associated with Eddy Current magnetic field decaying, thus enhancing the system's performance in environments where reliable quantitative analysis of flaws located deep underneath the surface of metal objects is required. A linearity compensation method may be applied to further enhance the performance of the system.

  • Patent number: 11842678
Abstract: This document describes techniques and apparatuses for a high-brightness mode on an organic light emitting diode (OLED) display. The techniques and apparatuses set a high-brightness value in a register of a display driver integrated circuit (DDIC) associated with the OLED display of on electronic device. A processor of the electronic device provides a fewer-pulses command to the DDIC, which adjusts a pulse number to control the OLED display at fewer pulses per period. A gamma correction is determined based on the high-brightness value and used to alter content to be presented on the OLED display. As a result, fewer pulses are used in combination with the gamma correction to provide content on the OLED display at a high brightness.

  • Patent number: 11843896
Abstract: In aspects of manage a video conference session in a multi-tasking environment, a computing device has a display screen to display a user interface of a foreground active application, such as a device application or a video conference session. The computing device implements a content control module that determines a user is designated as a participant of the video conference session, detects that a remote user connects to the video conference session from a remote device, and determines the device application is the foreground active application with the user interface of the device application displayed on the display screen. The content control module can then initiate to surface the user interface of the video conference session for display on the display screen responsive to the remote user connecting to the video conference session and the video conference session not being the foreground active application.

  • Patent number: 11841933
Abstract: This document describes techniques and systems that enable radar-based authentication status feedback. A radar field is used to enable an electronic device to account for the user's distal physical cues to determine and maintain an awareness of the user's location and movements around the device. This awareness allows the device to anticipate some of the user's intended interactions and provide functionality in a timely and seamless manner, such as preparing an authentication system to authenticate the user before the user touches or speaks to the device. These features also allow the device to provide visual feedback that can help the user understand that the device is aware of the user's location and movements. In some cases, the feedback is provided using visual elements presented on a display.

  • Patent number: 11842523
Abstract: Disclosed herein are apparatuses and methods for auto-configuring a region of interest (ROI) associated with a camera. In one implementation, a method comprises receiving image frames from a camera installed in the environment, wherein the ROI is located within the view of the image frames. The method includes tracking a plurality of persons in the image frames and determining a respective trajectory of movement for each person of the plurality of persons. The method further includes comparing each of the respective trajectories to one another and identifying, based on the comparing, a common trajectory shared by more than one person of the plurality of persons, wherein the common trajectory is not fully encompassed in the ROI. The method additionally includes updating the ROI to encompass the common trajectory, and includes configuring the updated ROI to be associated with new image frames from the camera.

  • Patent number: 11842174
Abstract: Techniques are described herein for translating source code in one programming language to source code in another programming language using machine learning. In various implementations, one or more components of one or more generative adversarial networks, such as a generator machine learning model, may be trained to generate “synthetically-naturalistic” source code that can be used as a translation of source code in an unfamiliar language. In some implementations, a discriminator machine learning model may be employed to aid in training the generator machine learning model, e.g., by being trained to discriminate between human-generated (“genuine”) and machine-generated (“synthetic”) source code.

  • Patent number: 11841917
Abstract: Embodiments of the inventive concept enable a user to define exactly what and/or where they would like to set a digital pinpoint bookmark, and at a later time, engage the use of the pinpoint bookmark so that they can jump back to the very spot where they left off. In an augmented reality environment, the pinpoint bookmark may point to a real object or a virtual object. In a virtual reality environment, the pinpoint bookmark may point to a virtual object. The pinpoint bookmark is a visual mark that overlays the digital content and that points directly to the spot (i.e., directly to a punctuation mark, letter, word, paragraph, image, video clip, audio clip, real object, virtual object, or the like) so that it is easy and quick for the user to get back to the exact position. The pinpoint bookmark can be cleared using a button. Multiple pinpoint bookmarks across various different personal computing devices associated with a single user can be centrally stored and managed using a remote pinpoint bookmark database.

  • Patent number: 11843170
Abstract: Disclosed is an antenna having a plurality of radiators disposed in a ring or arc around a Luneburg lens. Each of the radiators (e.g., flared-notch radiators) has a center radiating axis that intersects with the center of the Luneburg lens. Each of the radiators radiate into the Luneburg lens such that the Luneburg lens substantially planarizes the beam emitted by each radiator (on transmit) and focuses an incoming wavefront into the radiator (on receiver). This not only enables having numerous well-controlled individual beams, it also allows for combining radiators to create well-defined sector beams with minimal sidelobes and fast rolloff.
