Abstract: A system to determine an intrusion risk and take action is described. The system collaboratively filters a combination based on a user access and a network item in a computer network to determine an associated recommendation score. The system determines connected components of a model of the computer network and separately collaboratively filters the connected components to determine the recommendation score as a measure of intrusion risk. An action is taken on the user access based on the intrusion risk.

Abstract: An improved roller shade system provides increased support, additional adjustments and/or increased safety. The slip plate allows the brake to slip forward and minimize damage to the clutch spring when a user pulls too hard on the hembar. The center drive mechanism extends through a bracket to allow the drive shaft to distribute power in both directions and drive two shade tube simultaneously. The tube adapter absorbs force from the spinning shade tube to minimize damage to the other components and the bead chain. The sprocket has a back wall supporting the sprocket, allowing the sprocket 130 to rest on the back flange of the sun gear to minimize pressure on the gears. An adjustment arm is adjusted to help level the shade band. The shade bands may be removed without disturbing the other shade bands in the system. A height of a hembar may be adjusted by rotating a rod within the hembar.

In some implementations, systems for managing an entertainment system are provided, the systems comprising: at least one hardware processor configured to: detect a first instruction; select a component of the entertainment system; determine a first state of the component; store an indication of the first state; detect a second instruction; retrieve the indication of the first state; generate a third instruction based on the indication of the first state; and transmit the third instruction to the component of the entertainment system.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and articles of manufacture to improve image recognition searching are disclosed. In some embodiments, a first document image of a known object is used to generate one or more other document images of the same object by applying one or more techniques for synthetically generating images. The synthetically generated images correspond to different variations in conditions under which a potential query image might be captured. Extracted features from an initial image of a known object and features extracted from the one or more synthetically generated images are stored, along with their locations, as part of a common model of the known object. In other embodiments, image recognition search effectiveness is improved by transforming the location of features of multiple images of a same known object into a common coordinate system. This can enhance the accuracy of certain aspects of existing image search/recognition techniques including, for example, geometric verification.

Abstract: A system includes an imaging device configured to capture image data of a monitored area and a computing device having at least one processor. The computing device processor is configured to receive first image data from the imaging device and second image data from a satellite imagery system, where the second image data relates to the monitored area. The processor is also configured to determine a first set of points of interest in the first image data and a second set of points of interest in the second image data, wherein members of each set of points of interest are represented by a respective vector. The processor is further configured to generate a homography matrix based on the two vectors and determine, using the homography matrix, latitude and longitude coordinates of at least one object represented in the first image data but not the second image data.

Abstract: An electrical contact structure (an MIS contact) includes one or more conductors (M-Layer), a semiconductor (S-Layer), and an interfacial dielectric layer (I-Layer) of less than 4 nm thickness disposed between and in contact with both the M-Layer and the S-Layer. The I-Layer is an oxide of a metal or a semiconductor. The conductor of the M-Layer that is adjacent to and in direct contact with the I-Layer is a metal oxide that is electrically conductive, chemically stable and unreactive at its interface with the I-Layer at temperatures up to 450° C. The electrical contact structure has a specific contact resistivity of less than or equal to approximately 10?5-10?7 ?-cm2 when the doping in the semiconductor adjacent the MIS contact is greater than approximately 2×1019 cm?3 and less than approximately 10?8 ?-cm2 when the doping in the semiconductor adjacent the MIS contact is greater than approximately 1020 cm?3.

Abstract: Subsequent to registration of a client device with a server device such that credentials by which the client device is authenticated are securely stored at the client device, the client device provides a user device and a server device a recovery identifier and a recovery secret key associated with the client device. Upon the credentials no longer being stored at the client device such that the client device has to be reregistered with the server device to store new credentials by which the client device is authenticated, the user device generates and provides a recovery code to the client device, which provides the recovery code to the server device. Upon validating the recovery code based on the recovery identifier and the recovery secret key, the server device reregisters the client device with the server device such that the new credentials are securely stored at the client device.

Abstract: A head-mounted display device includes a first reflective polarizer having a first optical surface and a second optical surface that is opposite to the first optical surface. The first optical surface of the first reflective polarizer is curved, and the first reflective polarizer is configured to reflect light having a first polarization. The head-mounted display device also includes a first electronic display configured to project toward the first reflective polarizer a light pattern. At least a portion of the light pattern is reflected by the first reflective polarizer. Also disclosed is a method, which includes directing a light pattern from the first electronic display toward the first reflective polarizer and reflecting at least a portion of the light pattern toward an eye of a user.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are related to dynamically adjusting a wake time and a sleep time for wireless communication between two or more devices to reduce power consumption. In one aspect, a first device enters a wake up state to wirelessly communicate with a second device for a service period with a determined duration scheduled according to a target wake time (TWT) protocol. In one aspect, the first device monitors for one or more indicators from the second device indicating that additional data is available for communication. In one aspect, the first device extends the service period beyond the determined duration, in response to receiving a first indicator of the one or more indicators. In one aspect, the first device communicates with the second device the additional data during the service period extended beyond the determined duration.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are exemplary embodiments of methods, apparatus, and systems for performing content-adaptive deblocking to improve the visual quality of video images compressed using block-based motion-predictive video coding. For instance, in certain embodiments of the disclosed technology, edge information is obtained using global orientation energy edge detection (“OEED”) techniques on an initially deblocked image. OEED detection can provide a robust partition of local directional features (“LDFs”). For a local directional feature detected in the partition, a directional deblocking filter having an orientation corresponding to the orientation of the LDF can be used. The selected filter can have a filter orientation and activation thresholds that better preserve image details while reducing blocking artifacts. In certain embodiments, for a consecutive non-LDF region, extra smoothing can be imposed to suppress the visually severe blocking artifacts.

Some example implementations include, upon receipt of a request for a web page, identifying a plurality of page features for displaying the web page, where each of the page features being associated with a respective manifest of dependencies on resources. Example implementations may also include aggregating dependencies of said plurality of page features to generate an optimized set of dependencies for the web page, resolving dependencies in accordance with the optimized set of dependencies, and render the web page by rendering the plurality of page features using the resolved dependencies.

Abstract: Implementations are directed to utilizing an assistant to automatically navigate an interactive voice response (IVR) tree to arrive at a target state during an assisted telephone call. The assistant can receive input to initiate the assisted telephone call, identify an entity to engage with, on behalf of the user, and during the assisted telephone call, based on the input, and identify an IVR tree stored in association with the entity. In various implementations, navigation of the IVR tree can be modified based on interaction(s) detected at a client device subsequent to initiating the assisted telephone call. In various implementations, the assisted telephone call can be initiated from a search interface, and the target state can be associated with a given search result. In various implementations, the IVR tree can be dynamic in that only a subset of candidate state(s) of the IVR tree may be available as the target state.
