  • Patent number: 12248797
Abstract: Linked clone read performance when retrieving data from a clone is improved at least by aggregating block mapping metadata efficiently. Primary metadata for a child clone maps a logical block address (LBA) for data in a data region of the child clone to a physical sector address (PSA) for data in the data region of the child clone. At least a portion of primary metadata for a parent clone of the child clone is copied into archival metadata for the child clone. In response to a read request, data is returned from the child clone, parent clone, or another ancestor of the child clone based on whether or not a read request LBA is within the primary metadata for the child clone, or within the archival metadata.

  • Patent number: 12250119
Abstract: The current document is directed to an infrastructure-as-code (“IaC”) cloud-infrastructure-management service or system that automatically generates parameterized cloud templates that represent already deployed cloud-based infrastructure, including virtual networks, virtual machines, load balancers, and connection topologies. The IaC cloud-infrastructure manager provides an infrastructure-discovery service that accesses a cloud-computing facility to obtain information about already deployed cloud infrastructure and that generates a textual description of the deployed infrastructure, which the IaC cloud-infrastructure-manager then transforms into a set of parameterized cloud-infrastructure-specification-and-configuration files, a resource_ids file, and a parameters file that together comprise a parameterized cloud template.

  • Patent number: 12246706
Abstract: A vehicle system for a host vehicle includes a braking controller for implementing service braking on a host vehicle in response to a brake request message and a lane keep assist controller for transmitting a message indicative of the host vehicle departing from an identified lane of travel of a roadway and transmitting a message for maintaining the host vehicle in the identified lane of travel. The system also includes an automatic emergency braking controller for detecting a first vehicle in front of the host vehicle and tracking the first vehicle as a primary target. The automatic emergency braking controller discontinues tracking the first vehicle as the primary target in order to suppress alerts in response to the lane keep assist controller being active and the first vehicle traveling in a different lane of the roadway than the identified lane of travel of the host vehicle.

  • Patent number: 12248636
Abstract: A head-wearable audio device has a motion sensor that outputs motion parameter values based on a detected motion gesture. A gesture type is recognized by comparing the motion parameter values and per-user per-gesture-type recognition parameter values. An action is selected based on the selected gesture type and is executed by the head-wearable audio device or an application in a remote computing device. The head-wearable audio device may also include a capacitive touch sensor that detects capacitive touch events and outputs capacitive touch parameter values. A gesture type may be recognized by comparing both of detected motion parameter values and detected capacitive touch parameter values with per-user per-gesture-type recognition parameter values. The per-user per-gesture-type recognition parameter values are improved over time using machine learning and/or automated logic based on historical detected motion or capacitive touch parameters and corresponding selected gestures, or user profile data.

  • Patent number: 12250622
Abstract: Methods, media, and systems are provided for automated discovery schedules for telecommunication networks associated with a particular provider. The methods, media, and systems identify telecommunication networks corresponding to the provider. Additionally, location data for each of the telecommunication networks is received. The location data may be associated with one or more IP addresses for each telecommunication network. Servers or server clusters are identified along with associated location data for the servers or server clusters. The servers or server clusters are also associated with the provider. The location data for each of the telecommunication networks and the location data for each of the servers or server clusters are mapped. A distance between at least one of the telecommunication networks and at least one of the servers or server clusters is determined. • Patent number: 12247383
Abstract: A module that is useful for receiving stormwater when buried in permeable media comprises a base from which a plurality of columns extends upwardly, to support two or more different-elevation horizontal plates. Each plate has a plurality of holes, through each of which a column extends. The plates are secured to the columns at their respective elevations by self-acting engaging means comprising a latch, e.g. a peg extending radially from the column, and a mating receiver, e.g., an elastically deflectable plate having a hole that receives the peg. The angular orientation around the column of the self-acting engaging means varies with the plate elevation, so that for example, the first plate is only engageable at the first elevation and the second plate is only engageable at the second elevation. A module is assembled by lifting or lowering each plate along the column lengths until the plate becomes automatically engaged at the particular plate's predetermined elevation.

  • Patent number: 12249225
Abstract: RFID-based electronic surveillance article systems are provided with first and second receiving antennas. An RF signal is transmitted to an RFID device, which transmits a return signal that is received by the receiving antennas. A position of the RFID device may be determined based on a difference between the strength of the return signal when received by the first antenna and the strength of the return signal when received by the second antenna. If RF signals are transmitted by the receiving antennas, the position of the RFID device may be determined by changing the strengths of the RF signals transmitted by each antenna and comparing the strength of the RF signal transmitted by the first antenna when the RFID device is at a threshold for receiving the signal to the strength of the RF signal transmitted by the second antenna when the RFID device is at the threshold.
