When executed by the processor, the processor is caused to receive application events associated with an application and create data records based on the application events. The processor is further caused to compute an interestingness value for each of the data records based on a goal of the application, assign the computed interestingness value to each of the data records and store each of the data records with the assigned interestingness value.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, from a speech recognizer, multiple existing candidate hypotheses for an utterance. Each existing candidate hypothesis has a corresponding likelihood score assigned by the speech recognizer. The method also includes generating, using a correction module configured to receive the multiple candidate hypotheses as input, a new candidate hypothesis and determining, using a comparison model configured to receive the corresponding likelihood score assigned to one of the multiple existing candidate hypotheses as input, a corresponding likelihood score. The method also includes ranking the multiple existing candidate hypotheses and the new candidate hypothesis based on the corresponding likelihood scores assigned to the multiple existing candidate hypothesis by the speech recognizer and the corresponding likelihood score for the new candidate hypothesis.

Abstract: Approaches to managing navigation of autonomous vehicles through minor-major intersections are disclosed. A minor-major intersection is detected. Shadow tracks are generated for occlusions associated with the minor-major intersection. A maneuver evaluation is performed based on induced kinematic discomfort and post-encroachment time. Preliminary lateral and longitudinal planning is performed based on shadow tracks, induced kinematic discomfort and post-encroachment time to generate one or more proposed trajectories. Final trajectory generation is performed by refining at least one of the one or more proposed trajectories to generate the final trajectory. The autonomous vehicle performs a selected maneuver corresponding to the final trajectory within the minor-major intersection.

Abstract: The exemplary embodiments may assist in determining whether a fraud dispute for a payment card transaction is valid or not. The exemplary embodiments enable an agent to access and scan customer messages to attempt to locate messages relating to a payment card transaction in dispute. The exemplary embodiments may process messages such as email messages, instant messages, text messages and the like. The agent may gain remote access to at least some of the customer messages and scan the messages. The scanned content may then be parsed and programmatically processed to locate any messages that are likely relevant to the payment card transaction that is in dispute. For example, the exemplary embodiments may look at messages and attempt to locate any messages that are order confirmation messages, shipping messages or the like for the payment card transaction.

Abstract: An antenna has a plurality of dipoles disposed on a reflector plate. Mounted to the reflector plate is a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) having a plurality of keyed slots, one per radiator of the plurality of dipoles. Disposed within each keyed slot is a transition clip holding an RF (Radio Frequency) cable in place. The transition clip has a shape that holds it in place with a quarter turn, obviating the need to solder the transition clip in place before installing the RF cable. The transition clip is configured to mechanically and electrically couple to the outer conductor of the RF cable and holds in place during soldering. The transition clip and PCB are configured so that the steps of soldering the outer conductor to the transition clip and the inner conductor to an RF signal solder point on the PCB may be performed from the same side of the PCB.

Abstract: In some examples, processing circuitry decodes, from a coded bitstream that carries a compressed image, an index that points a value in a set of values of a parameter. A value change of the parameter adjusts a compression rate of the compressed image. The compressed image is generated by a neural network based encoder based on the parameter. The processing circuitry inputs the value of the parameter into a multi-rate compression domain computer vision task decoder. The multi-rate compression domain computer vision task decoder includes one or more neural networks for performing a computer vision task from compressed images according to corresponding values of the parameter that are used for generating the compressed images. The multi-rate compression domain computer vision task decoder generates a computer vision task result according to the compressed image in the coded bitstream and the value of the parameter.

Abstract: Video decoding innovations for multithreading implementations and graphics processor unit (“GPU”) implementations are described. For example, for multithreaded decoding, a decoder uses innovations in the areas of layered data structures, picture extent discovery, a picture command queue, and/or task scheduling for multithreading. Or, for a GPU implementation, a decoder uses innovations in the areas of inverse transforms, inverse quantization, fractional interpolation, intra prediction using waves, loop filtering using waves, memory usage and/or performance-adaptive loop filtering. Innovations are also described in the areas of error handling and recovery, determination of neighbor availability for operations such as context modeling and intra prediction, CABAC decoding, computation of collocated information for direct mode macroblocks in B slices, reduction of memory consumption, implementation of trick play modes, and picture dropping for quality adjustment.

Abstract: An electronic device having a thermal management system is provided. The thermal management system has a monolithic graphite element having a thickness of at least 150 microns. The graphite element has a thermal conductivity of at least about 700 W/mK. The graphite element is devoid of an internal adhesive, i.e., the graphite element is monolithic. The thermal management system is in operative contact with a heat source which comprises more than one electronic component. Preferably, the more than one electronic component is disposed on a stacked motherboard.

A first controller receives AC power from the generator and converts the AC power to DC power and provides DC power to a computing system that has one or more processors and one or more computer-readable hardware storage media and a user interface. A second controller is directly coupled to the first controller and provides AC power to a motor. The motor is mechanically connected to a pump, and the motor is in communication with, or controlled by, the computing system.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for endoscopically shaping and standardizing the size of a sleeved stomach for use in gastric reduction surgery. The device and method standardize and streamline gastric reduction surgery, specifically vertical sleeve gastrectomy, providing a guide for creating the stomach reduction and also shaping a stomach which will maintain an appropriate structure post-surgery.

The video data is decoded based on the updated reference locations.

Abstract: A method and system determine a profile of a website. A record of visits by a group of profiled users to a web site is generated. Each of the profiled users has associated user demographic information. The profile for the website is calculated using the associated user demographic information and the record of visits. The profile consists of demographic characteristics of the web site. A website forecast is determined for a defined time period. The website forecast characterizes a target audience that consists of members of demographic subgroups with percentages in the website forecast that are greater than a predetermined threshold. A data or service is provided based on the calculated profile and website forecast.

Abstract: A computer-implemented technique is described herein for providing assistance to a user in performing various computer-related tasks. The technique relies on a state machine system that transitions among plural modes based on mode-specific cues provided by a pattern-completion engine. The pattern-completion engine, in turn, is induced to generate these cues based on initial context information provided to a context store of the state machine system. Among other information, the initial context information provides example dialogues that are annotated with mode-specific cues. Throughout its operation, the technique updates context information provided in the context store. The plural modes can include at least a user mode, an answer mode, and a command mode. The technique also provides various mechanisms to ensure the privacy of sensitive-information items and to reduce the risk that commands will damage execution platforms.

The method includes receiving a first image from a rear camera disposed along a rear portion of the vehicle in a first position; and detecting a pixel position of a representation of the tow ball in the first image. Following the rear camera being moved from the first position to a second position along the rear portion of the vehicle, the method includes receiving a second image from the rear camera. The method also includes detecting a second pixel position of a representation of the tow ball in the second image; and estimating a position of the tow ball relative to the vehicle based on the first and second positions of the rear camera and the detected pixel positions of the representations of the tow ball in the first and second images.
