Abstract: A method and apparatus of a device that transforms data is described. In an exemplary embodiment, the device receives data from the plurality of data sources, wherein the plurality of data sources has different data formats. In addition, for each of the plurality of data sources, the device selects a first set of columns for transformation for that data source and expands the selected first set of columns into a set of rows, wherein each of the rows has an identical data format. Furthermore, the device combines the plurality of sets of rows having an identical data format into a transformed data set.
Abstract: A collapsible net for a game play is disclosed. The collapsible net includes a plurality of net-modules, each of the plurality of net-modules including a first-type coupler adjoining a left-side edge and a second-type coupler adjoining a right-side edge of each of the plurality of net-modules. The first-type coupler is configured to engage with the second-type coupler to couple the net-modules with one another, to thereby define an expanded length of the collapsible net.
Abstract: The present document describes an apparatus for reducing fabric dimpling in electronic devices and associated methods. The apparatus is used during assembly to prevent fabric, which is stretched over a perforated part (e.g., speaker housing), from dimpling into the holes (e.g., perforations) of the perforated part. The apparatus includes protrusions (e.g., pins), which act as a negative of the holes in the perforated part, to support the fabric as it is stretched over the perforated part. In particular, the protrusions are inserted through the perforations via an interior surface of the perforated part such that the protrusions are “proud” (slightly projecting from a surface) with respect to an exterior surface of the perforated part. The proudness of the protrusions may vary based on a degree of curvature of the perforated part at a location corresponding to a respective protrusion.

A multi-factor analysis in the form of a rule set is applied by the facility to the data. The analysis of the data identifies agent actions that are desirable to a publisher, advertiser, or third party. The facility generates a relative score for each agent action. The score may be used to assess the quality of traffic received by a network site. Lower scores are indicative of traffic having little value, whereas higher scores are indicative of traffic having greater value. The score may be provided to an advertising network and used to charge a variable amount for advertisements based on the quality of traffic that the advertisements receive.

Abstract: A bottom hole assembly comprising a downhole tool known as a cutting tool is provided for use within a subterranean well for severing tubulars. The cutting tool comprises a fluid source, a gas-driven rotatable motor and a cutting head including one or more cutters. The fluid source supplies pressurized fluid and thereby energy to the gas-driven rotatable motor which is disposed to generate thrust to set the gas-driven rotatable motor in motion. The cutting head is coupled to the gas-driven rotatable motor and rotates while cutting the tubular. The cutting tool can be deployed in a subterranean well by a variety of deployment methods, and the pressurized fluid may be supplied from a surface system, generated inside the cutting tool or bottom hole assembly, or input within the cutting tool or bottom hole assembly prior to deployment. The invention further relates to associated methods.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating custom applications for querying a multidimensional database of a target platform include, responsive to receiving a custom application request, an application definition is discovered based on data received from one or more sources. Abstract: A battery cell performance monitoring system includes an energy storage system that includes at least one inverter and battery nodes. Each of the battery nodes includes battery racks, and each of the battery racks includes battery cells. The battery cell performance monitoring system also includes a processor, memory, and programming in the memory. The programming causes the battery cell performance monitoring system to determine an extreme rack cell voltage value of each battery rack. Next, to determine an average extreme rack cell voltage value based on the extreme rack cell voltage value of each battery rack. Further, to compare an extreme rack cell voltage value for each battery rack with the average extreme rack cell voltage value. Additionally, to identify one or more outlier battery racks based upon the comparison of the extreme rack cell voltage value for each battery rack with the average extreme rack cell voltage value.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed herein for managing software operations in a computer system. A software operation may include many tasks. The tasks may be grouped together based on the tasks' dependencies on output generated from other tasks. Each group of tasks may be placed in a block of a blockchain based on the dependencies. If the output of a block fails to pass a validation test, the tasks in each block may be undone in an organized order (e.g., starting with the most recently performed task and using the one or more rollback functions associated with each task), which may prevent problems that could occur when some asynchronous tasks complete and others fail. Use of the blockchain may allow the computer system to determine more precisely where an operation failed and may allow the computer system to determine more information about the failure.

Abstract: Key management for encrypted data includes establishing a cache of key decryption keys and periodically evicting the keys from the cache. A pool of key encryption keys also is created and periodically, selected key encryption keys are removed from service. Notably, the rate of removal of the encryption keys differs from the rate of cache eviction for the decryption keys. Thereafter, clear data is encrypted with a cipher to produce cipher text, and the cipher is encrypted with a selected key encryption key from the pool. Finally, in response to an access request for the clear data, an attempt to locate in the cache a key decryption key for the encrypted cipher is made. If attempt fails, the key decryption key is retrieved from remote memory. Finally, the encrypted cipher is decrypted with the located key, and the cipher text decrypted to produce the clear data.
