Abstract: A gesture based authentication system for an autonomous vehicle (AV) uses light detecting and ranging (lidar) to observe a user making a specific gesture and, in response to observing the gesture, authorizes the user to access the vehicle. The authentication system may first identify a human in the vicinity of the AV, and then compare a body position of the identified human to a model trained to determine if a human is performing the specific gesture. If the model determines that the identified human is performing the gesture, the AV authorizes the user to access the vehicle, e.g., to accept a delivery or to ride in the AV.
Abstract: A system for providing active callback management using callback objects and contact information integration, utilizing a cloud callback system comprising at least a profile manager, callback manager, interaction manager, media server, and environment analyzer, allowing users to call businesses, agents in contact centers, or other users who are connected to a cloud callback system, and, failing to connect to the individual they called, allow for an automatic callback object to be created, whereby the two users may be automatically called and bridged together at a time when both users are available.
Abstract: Embodiments herein are directed to an emulator assembly. The assembly includes a housing with a cavity, a pedal arm, an elongated member, a carrier, an end plate and a compressible member. The pedal arm is at least partially received in the cavity and has a pedal pad on one end. The elongated member extends and couples to the pedal arm on one end and couples to a carrier on an opposite other end. The end plate is spaced apart from the carrier. The compressible member is positioned in the space between the carrier and the end plate. When the pedal pad is depressed, the elongated member moves the carrier in a direction towards the end plate which drives the carrier into the compressible member such that the compressible material compresses to generate a force feedback onto a foot positioned on the pedal pad.
Abstract: The visualization of progress of a distributed computational job at multiple points of execution. After a computational job is compiled into multiple vertices, and then those multiple vertices are scheduled on multiple processing nodes in a distributed environment, a processing gathering module gathers processing information regarding processing of multiple vertices of a computational job, and at multiple instances in time in the execution of the computational job. A user interface module graphically presents a representation of an execution structure representing multiple nodes of the computational job, and dependencies between the multiple nodes, where the nodes may be a single vertex or a group of vertices (such as a stage).
Abstract: This document describes techniques and apparatuses directed to the mitigation of physical impact-induced mechanical stress damage to printed circuit boards through the utilization of a conductive shield track having a varied width (dynamic width). In an aspect, disclosed is a device that includes a printed circuit board, an electrical component on the printed circuit board in a shielded area, a conductive shield track on the printed circuit board, a component shield having a sidewall and a sidewall base, and solder disposed between the sidewall base and the conductive shield track to couple the component shield to the ground plane of the PCB to form a shielded compartment over the shielded area.
Abstract: A recirculating high pressure lipid extractor includes a kettle with a sealed interior configured for pressurizing and heating a fluid mixture. A flow funnel is positioned in a lower portion. A removable material basket is positioned on top of the flow funnel in an upper section. The removable material basket is configured to hold a material inside the removable material basket. A drain and inlet port is at a bottom of the kettle in communication with the sealed interior of the kettle. A recirculation port is approximate a top of the kettle in communication with the sealed interior of the kettle. Wherein, when the fluid mixture is inserted into the kettle, the recirculating high pressure lipid extractor is configured to pressurize and heat the fluid mixture and recirculate the pressurized and heated fluid mixture from the recirculation port into the drain and inlet port.
Abstract: A vehicle and a system and method of controlling the vehicle. The system includes a sensor and a processor. The sensor obtains a first estimate of a force on a tire of the vehicle based on dynamics of the vehicle. The processor is configured to obtain a second estimate of the force on the tire using a tire model, determine an estimate of a coefficient of friction between the tire and the road from the first estimate of the force and the second estimate of the force, and control the vehicle using the estimate of the coefficient of friction.

Abstract: Methods and systems disclosed herein collect user data in real-time and organize them (e.g., using collaborative filtering) into groups (e.g., clusters). The system then determines statistical distributions of observed real-time intents (e.g., based on actual selections made by users) for each group. An indication to initiate a focus session may be received. The initiating may comprise causing a timer for the duration of time to be initiated and displayed in the timer pane and causing one of the music playlists to be automatically played.

Abstract: An electrified vehicle, system, and control method include a traction battery having a first plurality of cells and a second plurality of cell monitoring circuits each having an associated at least one of the first plurality of cells, and a controller configured to control the cell monitoring circuits to measure voltage of the associated cells at an initial frequency until a state of charge (SOC) of the traction battery is established, and to measure voltage of the associated cells at a second frequency based on the SOC after the SOC is established to reduce heat generation of the cell monitoring circuits. The cell monitoring circuits may be controlled to asynchronously measure associated cell voltage and/or to reduce voltage/current conversion time when delta cell voltage and battery pack current are below respective thresholds.

Abstract: An automated messaging reply-to system can automatically select which message a potential reply message is replying to. The automated messaging reply-to system can obtain a message thread, a potential reply message, and a context. The automated messaging reply-to system can filter the message thread and generate model inputs based on the remaining messages, the potential reply message, and the context. The automated messaging reply-to system can apply the model input to a machine learning model, which can generate reply scores for the remaining messages. After generating reply scores, the automated messaging reply-to system can determine whether the remaining message with the highest reply score qualifies as an originating message being replied to. The automated messaging reply-to system can cause display of the potential reply message as a reply-to for the determined originating message.
Abstract: A method of coupling a first portion of an anatomy to a second portion of the anatomy includes coupling first and second bones of the anatomy with a bone-tendon-bone implant. The bone-tendon-bone implant has a first bone end, a second bone end and a replacement tendon between the first and second bone ends. The first and second bone ends are positioned in corresponding first and second bores of the first and second bones. The first bone end is secured to the first bone with a first bone anchor. A second anchor coupled to the bone-tendon-bone implant is passed through and outside the second bore. The second anchor is coupled to an adjustable suture construct having two adjustable suture loops. Tensioning at least one of first and second ends of the adjustable suture construct tensions the replacement tendon and positions the first bone relative to the second bone.

Abstract: Time-division duplexing (TDD) in distributed communications systems, including distributed antenna systems (DASs) is disclosed. In one embodiment, a control circuit is provided and configured to control the TDD transmit mode of a DAS to control the allocation of time slots for uplink and downlink communications signal distribution in respective uplink path(s) and downlink path(s). The control circuit includes separate power detectors configured to detect either a transmit power level in a downlink path or a receive power level in an uplink path. If the transmit power detected in the downlink path is greater than receive power detected in the uplink path, the control circuit switches the TDD transmit mode to the downlink direction. In this manner, the control circuit does not have to control the TDD transmit mode based solely on detected power in the downlink path, where a directional coupler may leak uplink power in the downlink path.
Abstract: A die bonding system comprising a wafer lift and level assembly configured to allow rapid planarization of a wafer comprising a wafer frame configured to retain a wafer and be slidably retained within guide clevises and a leveling pedestal configured to support a wafer from below in a localized area where a die bonding operation is to take place, allowing the quick and repeatable planarization of die(s) to the wafer without the need for distinct planarization procedures that would slow cycle times and decrease production.
