Abstract: A depth camera assembly (DCA) has a light source assembly, a mask, a camera assembly, and a controller. The light source assembly includes at least one light source. The mask is configured to generate an interference pattern that is projected into a target area. The mask has two openings configured to pass through light emitted by the at least one light source, and the light passed through the two openings forms an interference pattern across the target area. The interference pattern has a phase based on a position of the light source. The camera assembly is configured to capture images of a portion of the target area that includes the interference pattern. The controller is configured to determine depth information for the portion of the target area based on the captured images.
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for configurable group-based media stream transmission allow media configurations to define how media (e.g., video data, audio data) is transmitted among different participant groups for an online communication session. In some embodiments, meeting participants may be assigned into either a presenter group or an audience group. The online communication session may be configured such that both video and audio data captured at the device of a presenter is shared with both the other presenters and the audience, while audio and/or video data captured at the devices of the audience is shared with only the presenters, but not the other members of the audience. As a result, the audience members are able to communicate with the presenters during the presentation but cannot communicate with the other members of the audience.

Abstract: The LOCATION-CONSCIOUS SOCIAL NETWORKING APPARATUSES, METHODS, AND SYSTEMS (“LCSN”) transforms user personality and location inputs via LCSN components into match and transaction outputs. LSCN may be a processor-implemented method for location-conscious social networking, involving collecting personality details pertaining to a user, analyzing the personality details and constructing a personality profile for the user. The LCSN may also collect geolocation information from the user and compare it to geolocation data from other users, may use user personality profiles to calculate a compatibility rating between the user and other users, and may send an alert to users if the geolocation data indicates that the user is within a specified distance of another user, and/or if the users are matches for each other. Users may further be able to express anonymous interest in other users by anonymously rating potential matches.
Abstract: Systems and methods for training object detection models using adversarial examples are provided. A method includes obtaining a training scene and identifying a target object within the training scene. The method includes obtaining an adversarial object and generating a modified training scene based on the adversarial object, the target object, and the training scene. The modified training scene includes the training scene modified to include the adversarial object placed on the target object. The modified training scene is input to a machine-learned model configured to detect the training object. A detection score is determined based on whether the training object is detected, and the machine-learned model and the parameters of the adversarial object are trained based on the detection output. The machine-learned model is trained to maximize the detection output. The parameters of the adversarial object are trained to minimize the detection output.

Abstract: A process for the preparation of a granulated or pelletized weak anion exchange medium from a phenol-containing organic material like peat, followed by low-temperature torrefaction of the granules to produce a high degree of physical stability of the granules at high-pH conditions, followed by chemical pretreatment of the stable granule via a hydrolysis reaction, and optionally surface treatment with acids, followed by the main chemical treatment of the hydrolyzed granule via separate aldehyde and amine reagents, or alternatively via an adduct reagent like hexamethylenetetramine is provided by this invention. The weak anion exchange medium of this invention can be used in a variety of aqueous solution treatment processes, such as wastewater treatment for removing mineral acids like H2SO4, HNO3, HCl, HBr, HF, H3PO4, HI, or formic acid from the wastewater. The resulting anion exchanger medium is particularly useful for treating wastewaters in a low-pH environment.

Abstract: A load control system may include control devices capable of being associated with each other at one or more locations for performing load control. Control devices may include control-source devices and/or control-target devices. A location beacon may be discovered and a unique identifier in the location beacon may be associated with a unique identifier of one or more control devices. Upon subsequent discovery of the location beacon, the associated load control devices may be controlled. The beacons may be communicated via radio frequency signals, visible light communication, and/or audio signals. The visible light communication may be used to communicate other types of information to devices in the load control system. The visible light communication may be used to identify link addresses for communicating with load control devices, load control instructions, load control configuration instructions, network communication information, and/or the like.

Abstract: Methods related to the treatment of a quantum computing device to increase channel mobility are described. An example method includes forming a superconducting metal layer on a surface of a wafer. The method further includes selectively removing a portion of the superconducting metal layer to allow a subsequent formation of a gate dielectric associated with the device, where the selectively removing causes a decrease in channel mobility associated with the quantum computing device. The method further includes prior to forming the gate dielectric, subjecting the wafer to a plasma treatment, where a set of parameters associated with the plasma treatment is selected to increase the channel mobility.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for remotely monitoring liquid lubricant levels for pump equipment. A system includes a reservoir to store lubricant and a lubrication gland to expose a shaft seal of the pump equipment to the lubricant. A feed line and a return line circulate the lubricant between the reservoir and the lubrication gland. A level sensor is configured to measure a fluid level in the reservoir. The level sensor uses a communication interface to transmit fluid level data a monitoring device mounted to the pump equipment. The monitoring device is configured to compare the fluid level data against stored alert thresholds and send, to a provider network, an alert signal when the fluid level data is below an alert threshold. If the fluid level data is not below an alert threshold, the monitoring device stores the fluid level data for periodic reporting.
