  • Patent number: 11687160
Abstract: Variations in the manufacturing, tolerances, and environmental conditions, for example, of haptic trackpads can cause mechanical properties to vary click-by-click and unit-by-unit. Also, as time goes, mechanical wear or material degradation within each trackpad may change its mechanical properties. All of which may cause the haptic response received by the user to vary across similarly designed trackpads, and also change over time on the same trackpad. This may be interpreted by the user as an indication of low product quality. The following describes in detail haptic trackpads including accelerometers that enable active control and/or calibration. This allows for a more uniform user experience across a manufacturing run of trackpads and/or throughout the projected life of individual trackpads.

  • Patent number: 11687782
Abstract: The present disclosure provides devices, systems and computer-readable media for identifying object characteristics using a machine learning model trained to de-emphasize brightness values. The machine learning model can be trained using modified training data. Modifying the training data can include converting the training data from an original color space into a color space having a brightness channel. The values of the brightness channel for the, training data can then be modified. After the values of the brightness channel are modified, the training data can be converted back into the original color space and used to train the machine learning model. A detection device can be configured with the machine learning model and used to identify object characteristics.

  • Patent number: 11687167
Abstract: This document describes techniques and systems that enable a visual indicator for paused radar gestures. The techniques and systems use a radar field to enable an electronic device to accurately determine radar gestures, or other movement, by a user. Further, the electronic device can determine certain conditions that can make it difficult for the electronic device to properly determine the user's radar gestures. When the device includes an application that can be controlled using radar gestures (a radar-gesture application), and the conditions are present, the device can enter a gesture-paused mode. When the device enters this mode, the techniques provide a gesture-paused feedback element on a display, which lets the user know that there is at least one radar-gesture application available or running on the electronic device but that radar gestures cannot presently be used to control the application.

  • Patent number: 11687960
Abstract: Implementations are described herein for using machine learning to determine whether candidate crop fields are suitable for management by particular agricultural entities. In various implementations, a machine learning model may be applied to input data to generate output data. The input data may include a first plurality of data points corresponding to field-level agricultural management practices of an agricultural entity. The output data may be indicative of one or more predicted outcomes of the agricultural entity implementing the field-level agricultural management practices on one or more candidate crop fields not currently managed by the agricultural entity. Based on one or more of the predicted outcomes, one or more computing devices may be caused to provide a user associated with the agricultural entity with information about one or more of the candidate crop fields, and/or one or more parameter inputs of a graphical user interface may be prepopulated.

  • Patent number: 11690109
Abstract: The technology relates to establishing wireless communication links, or connections, between a first audio accessory device, a second audio accessory device, and a client computing device. After receiving signals from the client computing device to initiate audio output, the first audio accessory device and the second audio accessory device may both perform a series of steps in parallel to establish connections with the client computing device and with each other. The series of steps may include relaying one or more acknowledgement (ACK) signals between the audio accessory devices in order to confirm proper receipt of the signals from the client computing device at both audio accessory devices. Alternatively, the series of steps may include transmitting a jamming signal from one of the audio accessory devices in order to prevent an ACK signal from the other audio accessory device from reaching the client computing device and initiating audio output.
