Abstract: A system and method are presented that scans a vector graphics file for image elements that appear over a background image. The image elements represent individual objects and movement or actions for those objects. The image elements, each possibly represented by multiple shapes, arrows, lines, or shading, are identified and parsed into a standard class definition. In one embodiment, the class definitions and the rule set applied to perform this parsing are pre-defined according to the content of the SVG file. The image elements are then redrawn over a new background image, which has multiple segments that correspond to the original background image but where each segment has a different segment transformation that defines translation and/or scaling required to move between the image segments. The image elements are then scaled and translated according to the multiple segment transformations, and then are presented over the new background image.

Abstract: Described is a poll-based system that provides an on-line and mobile network of users and products, goods and services that are determined through polling each of the users. The system compares, in real-time, the current user’s polling responses to identify which most similarly match the answered questions to that of the user. As the user progressively answers questions, the system updates the matching and presentation other users and of products, goods and services. Thus, as the user answers polling questions, the selected answers are compared against the selected descriptions of other products, goods and services, or general questions, to generate a likelihood of match between the users, and also each of the products, goods and services. The profiles of products, goods and services that have a likelihood of match within a predetermined threshold are then presented, including links within the profile for specific purchases.

Abstract: Example embodiments relate to techniques for providing remote assistance to an autonomous vehicle. A computing device may receive location from a vehicle while the vehicle is autonomously navigating a path in an environment. Based on the location information, the computing device may display a representation of the environment of the vehicle that conveys lane information for the path and subsequently receive an input selecting a lane in the path. The input modified an availability of the lane in the path during subsequent navigation by the vehicle. The computing device may then provide navigation instructions to the vehicle based on availability of the lane in the path.

Abstract: Messaging between an ultra-tag and external microcontroller. In an embodiment, a transmitting device is communicatively connected to a receiving device by a clear-to-communicate line and request line. When data to be transmitted has normal priority, the transmitting device detects whether the clear-to-communicate line indicates that the receiving device is available, indicates a request to transmit on the request line if so, waits until the receiving device is available and then indicates a request to transmit on the request line if not, after indicating a request to transmit, transmits the data when the clear-to-communicate line indicates that the receiving device is unavailable, and, after transmitting the data, releases the indication of the request to transmit on the request line. On the other hand, when the data has high priority, the transmitting device indicates a request to transmit on the request line, regardless of an indication on the clear-to-communicate line.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide a method and an apparatus for video coding. In some examples, the apparatus includes processing circuitry for video encoding. The processing circuitry selects a resolution from a set of resolutions that includes a 1-integer-pel resolution and a 4-integer-pel resolution. A current block is encoded with an intra block copy mode based on the selected resolution. The processing circuitry determines a block vector of the current block. The processing circuitry determines a block vector difference of the current block based on the block vector and a block vector predictor of the current block. The block vector difference is in the selected resolution. The processing circuitry encodes prediction information indicating the selected resolution and the block vector difference.
