Abstract: A method for secure key exchange. The method comprises receiving a request to certify a key from a communication partner at an interface between an access and tamper resistant circuit block and exposed circuitry. Within the access and tamper resistant circuit block, a first random private key is generated. A corresponding public key of the first random private key is derived, and a cryptographic digest of the public key and attributes associated with the first random private key is generated. The generated cryptographic digest is signed using a second random private key that has been designated for signing by one or more associated attributes. The public key and the signature are then sent to the communication partner via the interface.

Abstract: A projectile, that can be tracked by optical means, is fitted with a special tracer incorporated into the projectile's trailing edge. The rearward facing special tracer is incorporated into a metal disk which is crimped to the projectile's metal jacket. The special tracer includes micro-prismatic features that reflect light at the incidence angle. Alternatively, the disk incorporates a fluorescent dye that is responsive to a laser emission. External emitted radiation is reflected or re-emitted from the trailing edge of the projectile, allowing for an external electro-optic tracking device to identify the position of the projectile in flight.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and system for supplemental processing of recorded historical data in real time to fill in gaps of lost data. A user who may be monitoring the data from human interfaces can immediately recognize an issue, quickly change one or more settings for parameters (including changing one or more of the parameters), and replay for reprocessing the recorded data to provide a revised output that can catch up to the processing of later current data without needing to halt operations. In at least one field of use, the invention can eliminate the need for restarting a complete drilling process to resynchronize the surface system when the system is not able to demodulate a valid bitstream, saving time and maintaining high drilling efficiency.
