Abstract: A tufted geotextile for covering a land surface, comprising a porous backing sheet densely tufted to provide simulated grass blades having interstices therebetween on a tuft gauge of about 20 tufts per foot to about 50 tufts per foot and the adjacent lines spaced about ¼ inch, the interstices for receiving an infill from the backing sheet to a fill plane to increase shading of the interstices by the tuft blades on the backing sheet while resisting hydraulic displacement and movement of the infill while overlying the ground surface for covering purposes. A closure system is disclosed using the tufted geotextile as a component overlying an impermeable geomembrane for resisting inflow of water below the ground surface.

The second confidence threshold is greater than the first confidence threshold. The initial enrollment biometric data is deleted by the second computer after a predetermined time of receiving the initial enrollment biometric data.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for food cook completion estimation that includes: acquiring food temperature data from a first food item, the food temperature data comprising a plurality of food temperatures detected at a plurality of different times and reflecting a change in food temperature over time; selecting, based on the change in food temperature, a first non-linear prior cook profile from a plurality of non-linear prior cook profiles stored in a database that includes the first non-linear prior cook profile; and estimating a cook completion time based on the first non-linear prior cook profile.

Abstract: A nicotine e-vaping device may include a nicotine pod assembly and a device body. The nicotine pod assembly has upstream and downstream ends and is configured to hold a nicotine pre-vapor formulation. The upstream end may define at least one upstream recess, and the downstream end may define at least one downstream recess. The device body defines a through hole configured to receive the nicotine pod assembly. The through hole includes an upstream sidewall and a downstream sidewall. The upstream sidewall may include at least one upstream protrusion, and the downstream sidewall may include at least one downstream protrusion. The at least one upstream protrusion and the at least one downstream protrusion may be configured to engage with the at least one upstream recess and the at least one downstream recess, respectively, so as to retain the nicotine pod assembly within the through hole of the device body.

Abstract: A paper SAM pack with SAM inside and without refrigerant fluid inside, wherein an envelope of the paper SAM pack includes a paper component. A cold pack cooling system including an entrance for accepting refrigerant packs into the system, a conveyor for moving the refrigerant through the system, and a selector for selecting whether to send a cold pack which has passed through the system back to the entrance. An accumulator for cold packs in a cold pack cooling system wherein the accumulator is configured to sense when the accumulator is full of cold packs. Related apparatus and methods are also described.

Abstract: Devices and methods for balloon delivery of rapamycin and other hydrophobic compounds to the wall of blood vessels. Balloon catheters, such as those used for stent deployment, are modified with the addition of a reservoir of dry micelles. The micelle preparation is reconstituted and the micelles are mobilized when the aqueous solution used to inflate the balloons is injected into the catheter. The micelles are infused into tissue surrounding the balloon when pressurized fluid within the balloon leaks through the wall of the balloon.

Abstract: An AM/AV fabric comprising base fibers comprising a base polymer composition and AM/AV fibers comprising an AM/AV polymer composition comprising an AM/AV polymer and an AM/AV compound. The base fibers and the AM/AV fibers are intermingled with one another; and the fabric demonstrates an Escherichia coli efficacy log reduction greater than 4.0, as measured in accordance with ASTM E3160 (2018) and a particle filtration efficiency greater than 35%.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to a telecommunication enclosure having a configuration that can be readily customized in the factory to satisfy customer specifications and can also be readily upgraded in the field. In certain examples, the telecommunication enclosure includes a main housing defining a plurality access ports. A plurality of different add-on components can selectively be coupled to the main housing at the access ports in sealed relation to the main housing. The add-on components can include visual indicators which are visible from outside the main housing when the add-on components are mounted to the main housing.

Abstract: Systems and methods for autonomous vehicle (AV) simulation and code build scheduling are provided. A method includes receiving a first task specification for a first task associated with a first AV simulation and/or a first AV code build, receiving, a second task specification for a second task associated with a second AV simulation and/or a second AV code build, and executing a portion of the first task concurrently with a portion of the second task based on the portion of the first task and the portion of the second task have different resource requirements. The portion of the first task is associated with one of an AV asset download, an AV code execution, or an AV artifact upload. The portion of the second task is associated with a different one of the AV asset download, the AV code execution, or the AV artifact upload.

Abstract: The present invention provides for construction of a variety of useful objects including chairs and ottomans from multiple polymers or high density polyethylene (HDPE) by utilizing a living hinge; the hinge comprising a single contiguous sheet of stock, the stock having some material removed rendering the sheet flexible and pliable; wherein some material removed forms a mesh or matrix; wherein the mesh or matrix has been optimized to allow for pliability while eliminating points of excessive stress; wherein the single contiguous sheet is bent in a predetermined shape; the single contiguous sheet relaxing into that predetermined shape over time; and wherein the bent shape retains flexibility under load and while returning to its predetermined shape when no longer under load.

Abstract: Pixelated array light emitters are formed with closely-spaced pixels having ultra-smooth sidewalls. In methods for making such pixelated array light emitters, a converter layer of phosphor particles dispersed in a binder is disposed on a carrier, and then singulated by saw cuts or similar methods to form an array of phosphor pixels. The binder is fully cured prior to singulation of the converter layer. Further, the carrier is rigid rather than flexible. As a consequence of fully curing the binder and of using a rigid carrier to support the converter layer, singulation results in phosphor pixels having smooth side walls. The array of phosphor pixels is subsequently attached to a corresponding array of LEDs with an adhesive layer, separate from the binder used to form the converter layer. The pixel sidewalls may be formed with controlled morphology, for example at acute or obtuse angles with respect to the carrier.
