    Abstract: A method includes providing, by a signal source circuit of a sensing circuit, a signal to a sensor via a conductor. When the sensor is exposed to a condition and is receiving the signal, an electrical characteristic of the sensor affects the signal. The signal includes at least one of: a direct current (DC) component and an oscillating component. When the sensing circuit is in a noisy environment, transient noise couples with the signal to produce a noisy signal. The method further includes comparing, by a transient circuit of the sensing circuit, the noisy signal with a representation of the noisy signal. When the noisy signal compares unfavorably with the representation of the noisy signal, supplying, by the transient circuit, a compensation signal to the conductor. A level of the compensation signal corresponds to a level at which the noisy signal compares unfavorably with the representation of the noisy signal.

    Abstract: A training-stage technique trains a language model for use in an ASR system. The technique includes: obtaining a training corpus that includes a sequence of terms; determining that an original term in the training corpus is not present in a dictionary resource; segmenting the original term into two or more sub-terms using a segmentation resource; determining that the segmentation of the original term into the two or more sub-terms is a valid segmentation, based on two or more validity tests; and training the language model based on the terms that have been identified. A computer-implemented inference-stage technique applies the language model to produce ASR output results. The inference-stage technique merges a sub-term with a preceding term if these two terms are separated by no more than a prescribed interval of time.

If the tube softens at 800° C.-1000° C., the structural support tube will reinforce the Zr alloy tube against ballooning and bursting, thereby preventing the release of fission products to the reactor coolant.

    Abstract: TLB poisoning attacks take advantage of security issues of translation lookaside buffer (TLB) management on SEV processors in Secure Encrypted Virtualization (SEV) virtual machines (VMs). In various embodiments, a hypervisor may poison TLB entries between two processes of a SEV VM to compromise the integrity and confidentiality of the SEV VM. Variants of TLB poisoning attacks and end-to-end attacks are shown to be successful on both Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) SEV and SEV-Encrypted State (SEV-ES). Countermeasures for thwarting TLB poisoning attacks include hardware-enforced TLB flush processes and re-exec schemes that, among other things, prevent attackers from manipulating TLB entries and causing a privileged victim process to execute malicious code in an attempt to bypass a password authentication.
