  • Publication number: 20230096806
Abstract: A developmental drinking cup and training straw and method for developmental drinking stages is presented. A first stage presents an open-topped tiny cup, having a small volume, whereby a toddler's eye-hand and hand-to-mouth coordination is promoted while encouraging head-forward drinking which lessens choking and reinforces a strong swallow reflex. Once mastery of the initial stage is attained, an open-topped mini cup is presented, having twice the capacity of the tiny cup, to reinforce the developmental drinking promoted in the initial stage. A third and fourth stage present the mini cup in use with a training straw which inverts to present a second end after use with the first end has been mastered. Eye-hand and hand-to-mouth coordination and head-forward drinking is developed while generating confidence with independent drinking without sippy cups or spouted vessels which are known to impact speech development.

Abstract: Techniques for content protection for a glasses device are described and may be implemented to enable sensitive content on a glasses device to be protected from exposure to persons other than a user of the glasses device. Generally, the described implementations utilizing sensor data such as visual data from a camera to detect human gaze to determine whether a person other than a user of a glasses device is positioned to view sensitive content displayed by the glasses device. If a secondary person other than a user of a glasses device is detected as being positioned to view sensitive content, a protection process is implemented to mitigate exposure of the sensitive content to the secondary person.

  • Publication number: 20230095131
Abstract: A process for manufacturing pipes using thermoplastic pipe and “tape” (continuous fiber, fully wetted in a similar thermoplastic as the pipe) that embeds its fibers into pipe surface. The thermoplastic pipe is mechanically compressed prior fiber tape being applied. Outer diameter reduction of the pipe is at least partly maintained by the fiber tape being tightly wrapped around the pipe immediately after compression causes the pipe to contract. Then, an external heat source is applied to the pipe causing the thermoplastic to melt and the pipe to undergo thermal expansion. Fibers stretch less and are embedded into the molten layer of the pipe, creating a permanent bond between the fibers and the pipe. Individual pipes may be joined using couplers or butt welds.

  • Publication number: 20230101414
Abstract: Technology is disclosed for a fast ECC engine for a mixed read of MRAM cells. A codeword read from MRAM cells using a referenced read is decoded using a first ECC mode. If decoding passes, results are provided to a host. If decoding fails, a self-referenced read (SRR) is performed. The data read using the SRR is decoded with a second ECC mode that is capable of correcting a greater number of bits than the first ECC mode. The second ECC mode may have a higher mis-correction rate than the first ECC mode (for a given raw bit error rate (RBER)). However, the RBER may be lower when using the second ECC mode. Therefore, the first and second ECC modes may result in about the same probability of an undetectable error (or mis-correction).

  • Publication number: 20230094601
Abstract: A wireless device may receive downlink control information (DCI) indicating a first TCI state of TCI states. The first TCI state may be associated with a first power control parameter and may be applicable after a first time instance for uplink channel transmissions. The DCI may comprise an uplink grant scheduling a transport block at a second time instance and indicating a second power control parameter. The wireless device may select, from the first power control parameter and the second power control parameter, a power control parameter based on a comparison of the first time instance with the second time instance. The wireless device may determine, based on the selecting, a transmit power. The wireless device may transmit, based on the transmit power and via a physical uplink shared channel, the transport block.
