Abstract: A light inspection system positions an autonomous vehicle (AV) in a field of view of a camera such that the camera captures an image of a light of the AV. The light inspection system instructs a camera to capture an image of the light while the light is switched on. The light inspection system receives the captured image, determines a luminance of the light based on the image, and determines to service the light in response to the luminance of the light being below a threshold luminance.

  • Publication number: 20220390619
Abstract: Perception data based multipath identification and correction is based on recognition that sensors such as radar, LIDAR, and cameras can generate perception data indicative of locations and properties of terrestrial objects in an environment surrounding a satellite navigation device (e.g., a GNSS receiver), which data may then be used in training, or updating, a model for determining or correcting distances to satellites to account for multipath. Multipath identification includes identifying multipaths to train the model, e.g., by using perception data to perform ray tracing. Multipath correction includes using the model to correct distance errors due to the multipaths or, equivalently, using the model to determine distances to satellites in a manner that accounts for the multipaths.

Abstract: A method for forming discrete volumes of aqueous fluid may comprise flowing aqueous fluid into a first conduit from a supply of aqueous fluid and flowing into the first conduit a spacing liquid supplied from a second conduit, the spacing liquid being immiscible with the aqueous fluid. The flowing of the aqueous fluid and the spacing liquid into the first conduit forms discrete volumes of the aqueous fluid, with consecutive discrete volumes of the aqueous fluid separated by the spacing liquid. The method may further comprise transferring the discrete volumes of the aqueous fluid and spacing liquid from the first conduit to a third conduit for processing.

Abstract: An integrated approach is provided to running web applications with various compatibilities that do not require third-party extensions or sacrifice user experience. When a page of an application incompatible with a first browser is to be executed, an instance of a second browser with which the page is compatible is separately invoked and/or executed without opening a window for that second browser. Instead, the second browser opens a page within the window of the first browser. Moreover, rendering and/or contextual information for a page opened via the second browser is provided to the first browser. Such information is utilized by the first browser to provide a visual experience to the user in which the web page is being hosted by the first browser, even though it is in fact being hosted by the second browser.

Abstract: System and techniques for swap order normalization are described herein. Swap orders are normalized and matched based on a swap ratio of an asset being traded and a denominating asset respectively specified in the swap orders. The normalization enables a single order book to be used without regard to which asset is the traded asset. Maintaining the swap ratio during trades ensures that order intent pre-normalization is maintained after normalization regarding profit improvement.

  • Publication number: 20220393597
Abstract: An active clamp flyback (ACF) converter can be used to convert AC voltages to DC voltages and offers the ability to reuse leakage energy and a negative magnetizing current to achieve zero-volt-switching. The leakage energy can vary with system design and therefore may be difficult to control, but the negative magnetizing current can be controlled by adjusting a switching frequency of the ACF converter. The adjustment can be determined by comparing the negative magnetizing current to a threshold. Using a fixed threshold may not be optimal because variations in system operating conditions, such as load current, line voltage, and output voltage, can affect the amount of negative magnetizing current required for zero-volt-switching (i.e., can affect the threshold). Additionally, a range of possible switch technologies can affect the threshold. The present disclosure describes an adaptable threshold for a variable frequency ACF converter that allows for efficient switching.

Abstract: A method (400) includes receiving audio data (112) corresponding to an utterance (101) spoken by a user (10), receiving video data (114) representing motion of lips of the user while the user was speaking the utterance, and obtaining multiple candidate transcriptions (135) for the utterance based on the audio data. For each candidate transcription of the multiple candidate transcriptions, the method also includes generating a synthesized speech representation (145) of the corresponding candidate transcription and determining an agreement score (155) indicating a likelihood that the synthesized speech representation matches the motion of the lips of the user while the user speaks the utterance. The method also includes selecting one of the multiple candidate transcriptions for the utterance as a speech recognition output (175) based on the agreement scores determined for the multiple candidate transcriptions for the utterance.
