Publication number: 20220390619Abstract: Perception data based multipath identification and correction is based on recognition that sensors such as radar, LIDAR, and cameras can generate perception data indicative of locations and properties of terrestrial objects in an environment surrounding a satellite navigation device (e.g., a GNSS receiver), which data may then be used in training, or updating, a model for determining or correcting distances to satellites to account for multipath. Multipath identification includes identifying multipaths to train the model, e.g., by using perception data to perform ray tracing. Multipath correction includes using the model to correct distance errors due to the multipaths or, equivalently, using the model to determine distances to satellites in a manner that accounts for the multipaths.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 17, 2022Publication date: December 8, 2022Applicant: GM Cruise Holdings LLCInventor: Shahram Rezaei

Publication number: 20220391231Abstract: An integrated approach is provided to running web applications with various compatibilities that do not require third-party extensions or sacrifice user experience. When a page of an application incompatible with a first browser is to be executed, an instance of a second browser with which the page is compatible is separately invoked and/or executed without opening a window for that second browser. Instead, the second browser opens a page within the window of the first browser. Moreover, rendering and/or contextual information for a page opened via the second browser is provided to the first browser. Such information is utilized by the first browser to provide a visual experience to the user in which the web page is being hosted by the first browser, even though it is in fact being hosted by the second browser.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 8, 2022Publication date: December 8, 2022Applicant: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Adrian Bogdan Guta, Joshua P.H. Publication number: 20220393597Abstract: An active clamp flyback (ACF) converter can be used to convert AC voltages to DC voltages and offers the ability to reuse leakage energy and a negative magnetizing current to achieve zero-volt-switching. The leakage energy can vary with system design and therefore may be difficult to control, but the negative magnetizing current can be controlled by adjusting a switching frequency of the ACF converter. The adjustment can be determined by comparing the negative magnetizing current to a threshold. Using a fixed threshold may not be optimal because variations in system operating conditions, such as load current, line voltage, and output voltage, can affect the amount of negative magnetizing current required for zero-volt-switching (i.e., can affect the threshold). Additionally, a range of possible switch technologies can affect the threshold. The present disclosure describes an adaptable threshold for a variable frequency ACF converter that allows for efficient switching.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 27, 2022Publication date: December 8, 2022Applicant: SEMICONDUCTOR COMPONENTS INDUSTRIES, LLCInventors: Selvarajan SHANTHOSH, Bryan Wayne MCCOY

Publication number: 20220391022Abstract: A system and method providing a radar-based motion-sensing user interface suitable for issuing commands to a device or system as a consequence of the detection of user motion, whole-body gestures and/or hand gestures. The system and method derive a three-dimensional representation of a user within a defined space from two-dimensional data obtained from multiple reflected radar signals. The three-dimensional representation is then processed to recognize a human body, and in particular the movement and/or position of the body and/or body parts and joints. The recognized movement and/or position are then compared to a known list of gestures and movements that are associated with particular device/system commands. If one or more of the recognized movements and/or positions conforms with a command movement/gesture, the associated command is issued to the device or system being controlled.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 1, 2022Publication date: December 8, 2022Applicant: ARRIS ENTERPRISES LLCInventor: Yuvaraj Nagarathinam
