Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions for use in refrigeration, air-conditioning, and heat pump systems wherein the composition comprises a fluoroolefin and at least one other component. The compositions of the present invention are useful in processes for producing cooling or heat, as heat transfer fluids, foam blowing agents, aerosol propellants, and fire suppression and fire extinguishing agents.

Abstract: A method for making a dense organosilicon film with improved mechanical properties, the method comprising the steps of: providing a substrate within a reaction chamber; introducing into the reaction chamber a gaseous composition comprising hydrido-dialkyl-alkoxysilane; and applying energy to the gaseous composition comprising hydrido-dialkyl-alkoxysilane in the reaction chamber to induce reaction of the gaseous composition comprising hydrido-dialkyl-alkoxysilane to deposit an organosilicon film on the substrate, wherein the organosilicon film has a dielectric constant from ˜2.70 to ˜3.50, an elastic modulus of from ˜6 to ˜36 GPa, and an at. % carbon from ˜10 to ˜36 as measured by XPS.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for manipulating a communication acceptance screen, manipulating an interactive communication acceptance icon, and restricting access to accounts based on voice communication parameters. In particular, when a communication is detected from one device to another device, that communication may be risky. Thus, the risk is mitigated by giving a user information about the source of the communication to give a user a chance to reject the communication. In addition, in instances where the user accepts the communication, the system enables monitoring the communication and restricting any accounts that are disclosed within the communication.

Abstract: Systems and method are provided for transmitting data from a vehicle using a Wi-Fi network. A method includes: collecting, by a processor, performance data associated with a plurality of access points in the Wi-Fi network; segmenting, by a processor, a route into a plurality of route segments; mapping, by a processor, the plurality of access points to the plurality of route segments; selecting, by a processor, a set of access points from the plurality of access points based on the collected performance data, wherein the set of access points comprises a selected access point for each route segment of the plurality of route segments; predicting, by a processor, a scanning channel based on the set of access points and a current location of the vehicle; and selectively transmitting, by a processor, packet data based on the set of access points, the scanning channel, and the associated performance data.

Abstract: A method of engaging tissue is provided. The method includes: providing a forceps including a housing, a first jaw and a second jaw slidably and pivotably connected to a distal portion of the housing, and a driver; advancing the forceps in a closed configuration through a body lumen until the forceps are near a target tissue site; moving the driver in a distal direction relative to the housing to move the first and second jaws to an open configuration; positioning the first and second jaws adjacent to the target tissue site; and securing a tissue sample within the first and second jaws by moving the driver in a proximal direction relative to the housing to rotate the first and second jaws relative to the housing from the open configuration towards the closed configuration, which also moves the first and second jaws longitudinally in a proximal direction.

Abstract: Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head includes a body portion having a face portion with a front surface and a rear surface. A first protrusion is located at the rear surface and has a first receptacle. A second protrusion is located at the rear surface and has a second receptacle. A bridge structure extends between the first protrusion and the second protrusion. The bridge structure has a first end portion received in the first receptacle and a second end portion received in the second receptacle. The first protrusion and the second protrusion maintain the bridge structure in a compressed position. The bridge structure exerts a force against the face portion. Abstract: A method for controlling electronic shifting of a bicycle includes identifying, by a processor, a torque at a crank arm of the bicycle. The processor compares the identified torque or a parameter based on the identified torque to a predetermined band. The predetermined band has an upper limit and a lower limit. The processor determines a target cadence based on the comparison. The processor determines a cadence band based on the determined target cadence. The method also includes controlling the electronic shifting of the bicycle based on the determined cadence band. The controlling of the electronic shifting of the bicycle includes actuating a motor of a derailleur of the bicycle for the electronic shifting of the bicycle when a cadence of the bicycle is outside of the determined cadence band.

Abstract: The disclosure generally pertains to battery charging management of battery electric vehicles (BEVs). In an example method, a processor generates an operational profile for a first BEV among a number of BEVs. The profile may be based on a mileage accumulation pattern, a parking pattern, and/or a battery charging pattern, detected over an information collection period. The mileage accumulation pattern may be based on the use of the first BEV for commuting from a residence to a workplace. The processor determines an availability of a battery charging outlet in a section of a garage of the residence, and based on the operational profile of the first BEV, identifies a period of time for charging a battery of the first BEV in the garage. The processor then issues a directive to park the first BEV in the section of the garage over the identified period of time for charging the battery.

Abstract: A temperature control device (e.g., a thermostat) may be configured to control an internal heat-generating electrical load so as to accurately measure a present temperature in a space around the temperature control device. The temperature control device may comprise a temperature sensing circuit configured to generate a temperature control signal indicating the present temperature in the space, and a control circuit configured to receive the temperature control signal and to control the internal electrical load. The control circuit may be configured to energize the internal electrical load in an awake state and to cause the internal electrical load to consume less power in an idle state. The control circuit may be configured to control the internal electrical load to a first energy level (e.g., a first intensity) during the awake state and to a second energy level (e.g., second intensity) that is less than the first during the idle state.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable media for performing task assignment, completion, and management within a crowdsourced surveillance platform. A remote server may identify targets for image capture and may assign capture tasks to users based on travel plans of the user. Users may be assigned task to capture image of target locations lying along a travel path. The remote server may aggregate data related to the captured images and use it to update a map and log changes to the target location over time.

Abstract: Present invention teaches double-sided magnetic cutting deck. A plurality of magnets are used on both sides of a PC center board, sandwiched by an upper and a lower board, and bonded by TPU glue, which is also the same material used on the upper and lower boards. The magnets are substantially the size of the holes, so as to fit snuggly into the holes, with gap spaces between the edges of the hole to hold excess TPU glues, for better bonding of the magnets in place. Using the TPU materials on the surface (of upper and lower boards) provides longer product life due to the good resilience to physical force from the cutting impressions made during normal use.

Abstract: Techniques to improve fraud detection for financial institutions maintaining a network of financial terminals. These techniques are applicable towards identifying instances of multiple account usage with at least one of the financial terminals. Example financial terminals known as Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) capture image data whenever a visitor initiates a financial service (and/or receives something of value) and leverage the techniques described herein to determine whether the visitor is engaged in multiple account usage. Such multiple account usage may occur when the visitor withdraws cash against two different accounts. These techniques are further applicable towards securing the two different accounts from misappropriation.
