  • Patent number: 11412984
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed to establish sensor locations on a human's body. A reference plane structure establishes a measurement datum. A plurality of fixtures is provided. Each fixture of the plurality contains at least one sensor and provides a tensile preload to the at least one sensor. A first fixture of the plurality is supported by the reference plane structure. A location on the human's body is associated with each sensor. Each location on the human's body is established using the measurement datum and a contact point of each sensor. The plurality is articulated together to conform to a shape of the human's body such that, when in use, each sensor is in contact with the human's body, and each location is defined by the measurement datum and a contact point of each sensor.

  • Patent number: 11417132
Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for determining a logical starting location to start providing (e.g., reading) content to a user. When the user navigates to a particular web page and/or email message, a screen reader can automatically read content associated with the web page and/or email message beginning at the determined logical starting location. A heuristic can be applied in order to determine the logical starting location. The heuristic can analyze information regarding user interface element(s) (e.g., property(ies) and/or attribute(s)) of the particular webpage and/or email message to find a logical location to start reading once the webpage and/or email message have loaded.

  • Patent number: 11415677
Abstract: To compensate for the uneven distribution of data points around the periphery of a vehicle in a lidar system, a light source transmits light pulses at a variable pulse rate according to the orientation of the light pulses with respect to the lidar system. A controller may communicate with a scanner in the lidar system that provides the orientations of the light pulses to the controller. The controller may then provide a control signal to the light source adjusting the pulse rate based on the orientations of the light pulses. For example, the pulse rate may be slower near the front of the lidar system and faster near the periphery. In another example, the pulse rate may be faster near the front of the lidar system and slower near the periphery.

  • Patent number: 11416312
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein are related to implementing a near-real-time stream processing system using the same distributed file system as a batch processing system. A data container and partition files are generated according to a partition window that specifies a time range that controls when data is to be included in the partition files. The data container is scanned to determine if the partition files are within a partition lifetime window that specifies a time range that controls how long the partition files are active for processing. For each partition file within the lifetime window, processing tasks are created based on an amount of data included in the partition files. The data in the partition files is accessed and the processing tasks are performed. Information about the partition files is recorded in a configuration data store.

  • Patent number: 11417333
Abstract: Systems and methods are described include a robot and/or an associated computing system that can use various cues about an environment of the robot to apply a bias to increase the accuracy of speech transcription. In some implementations, audio data corresponding to a spoken instruction to a robot is received. Candidate transcriptions of the audio data are obtained. A respective action of the robot corresponding to each of the candidate transcriptions of the audio data is determined. One or more scores indicating characteristics of a potential outcome of performing the respective action corresponding to the candidate transcription of the audio data are determined for each of the candidate transcriptions of the audio data. A particular candidate transcription is selected from among the candidate transcriptions based at least on the one or more scores. The action determined for the particular candidate transcription is performed.

  • Patent number: 11418526
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for temporal link prediction based on (generalized) random dot product graphs (RDPGs), as well as applications of such temporal link prediction to network anomaly detection. In various embodiments, starting from a time series of adjacency matrices characterizing the evolution of the network, spectral embeddings and time-series models are used to predict estimated link probabilities for a future point in time, and the predicted link probabilities are compared against observed links to identify anomalous behavior. In some embodiments, element-wise independent models are used in the prediction to take network dynamics into account at the granularity of individual nodes or edges.
