  • Patent number: 11416286
Abstract: Aspects of the technology described herein can facilitate computing on transient resources. An exemplary computing device may use a task scheduler to access information of a computational task and instability information of a transient resource. Moreover, the task scheduler can schedule the computational task to use the transient resource based at least in part on the rate of data size reduction of the computational task. Further, a checkpointing scheduler in the exemplary computing device can determine a checkpointing plan for the computational task based at least in part on a recomputation cost associated with the instability information of the transient resource. Resultantly, the overall utilization rate of computing resources is improved by effectively utilizing transient resources.

  • Patent number: 11412658
Abstract: An agricultural vehicle header includes a frame supporting components of the agricultural vehicle header. A reel is mounted to the frame such that a weight of the reel produces a bending moment on the frame in a first direction that can cause the header to droop toward a ground surface. A gauge wheel is mounted to the frame such that a normal force, which is produced by the gauge wheel on the ground surface, is transmitted to the frame to cause a bending moment on the frame in a second direction that is opposite to the first direction in order to either limit or prevent drooping of the header toward the ground surface.

  • Patent number: 11418516
Abstract: In particular embodiments, a consent conversion optimization system is configured to test two or more test consent interfaces against one another to determine which of the two or more consent interfaces results in a higher conversion percentage (e.g., to determine which of the two or more interfaces lead to a higher number of end users and/or data subjects providing a requested level of consent for the creation, storage and use or cookies by a particular website). The system may, for example, analyze end user interaction with each particular test consent interface to determine which of the two or more user interfaces: (1) result in a higher incidence of a desired level of provided consent; (2) are easier to use by the end users and/or data subjects (e.g., take less time to complete, require a fewer number of clicks, etc.); (3) etc.

  • Patent number: 11416546
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method receives a set of frames from a video at a first classifier. The first classifier classifies the set of frames with classification scores that indicate a confidence that a frame contains end credit content using the first classifier using a first model that classifies content from the set of frames. A second classifier then refines the classification scores from neighboring frames in the set of frames using a second classifier using a second model that classifies classification scores from the first classifier. A boundary point is selected between a frame in the set of frames considered not including end credit content and a frame in the set of frames including end credit content based on the refined classification scores.

  • Patent number: 11418650
Abstract: A system and method for optimizing callback times to increase the success rate of callbacks while managing overflow of calls to alternate sites when callbacks are unsuccessful. The system and method use a pacing algorithm to determine when callbacks are likely to be successful from a preferred contact site, routing to alternate callback sites when callbacks are unsuccessful, and preferences for re-routing back to the preferred site when a callback is successful and the agent with whom the caller has interacted previously is available.

  • Patent number: 11415880
Abstract: A method is described for utilizing NIL materials with switchable mechanical properties. The method comprises applying an imprint mask to a nano-imprint lithography (NIL) material layer. The NIL material layer is comprised of a NIL material with a modulus level below a flexibility threshold. The NIL material layer has an internal property, that when changed, causes a change in the modulus level of the NIL material. The method further comprises detaching the imprinted NIL material layer from the imprint mask, with the low modulus level of the NIL material causing a shape of the imprinted NIL material layer to remain unchanged after detachment. A modulus level of the NIL material is increased by changing an internal property of the NIL material, with the modulus level increased beyond a strength threshold to create a first imprint layer that has a structure that remains unaffected by a subsequent process.
