Abstract: In examples, a schema augmentation system for exploratory research leverages intelligence from a machine learning model to augment such tasks by leveraging intelligence derived from machine learning capabilities. Augmenting tasks include schematization of content, such as information units and groupings of information units. Based on the schematization of such content, semantic proximities for information units are determined. The semantic proximities may be used to identify and present potentially relevant information units, for example to accelerate the exploratory research task at hand. As such, users engaged in consumption of heterogeneous content (e.g., across client applications and/or content sources), may receive machine-augmented support to find potential information units.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are remote controls with automated selection control. A remote control includes a microcontroller with a provisioned infrared remote library, which are programmed with control codes for a content device, a switch, an infrared light emitter, an indicator device, and a delay knob are connected to the microcontroller. The switch is associated with a selection function on the content device and with control codes. The microcontroller and the library, upon selection of a switch position at the switch, control the infrared light emitter to emit repetitive infrared control codes at the content device at a repetition rate responsive to a reaction time for switching the selection function at the content device, the repetitive infrared control codes automatically incrementing or decrementing the selection function at the content device. The delay knob sets the repetition rate. The indicator device indicates emissions from the infrared light emitter.

Abstract: This disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods related to washing a vehicle in a car wash. In an example method, a car wash controller in a car wash detects a vehicle inside a bay of the car wash and selects a piece of equipment for washing a certain portion of the vehicle. Selecting the equipment may be based on an amount of dirt present on the portion of the vehicle, which can be, for example, a front portion, a rear portion, a side portion, a roof, or an underbody of the vehicle. The car wash controller may query a driver of the vehicle to determine a detergent preference. A car wash system computer in the vehicle may specify an amount of water to be used for washing the vehicle. The car wash controller washes the portion of the car using the detergent and the specified amount of water.

Abstract: A system is designed to crawl known job listings web pages and extract the job listing URLs. A machine learning model is trained to recognize job listings and extract relevant information for the job listings. The model can separate multiple job listings on a single page. The machine learning model can further predict the likelihood of new jobs being added or existing job postings expiring. By using the prediction, the system can subsequently verify that a job expected to expire has expired and remove the same from the results. Similarly, the system can crawl websites with a high likelihood of new job postings without having to crawl the entire internet to maintain an up to date job listing repository.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure involve systems and methods for utilizing Virtual Local Area Network separation in a connection, which may be a single connection, between a customer to a telecommunications network and a cloud environment to allow the customer to access multiple instances within the cloud through the connection. A customer may purchase multiple cloud resource instances from a public cloud environment and, utilizing the telecommunications network, connect to the multiple instances through a communication port or connection to the cloud environment. To utilize the single connection or port, communication packets intended for the cloud environment may be tagged with a VLAN tag that indicates to which cloud instance the packet is intended. The telecommunications network may route the packet to the intended cloud environment and configure one or more aspects of the cloud environment to analyze the attached VLAN tag to transmit the packet to the intended instance.
