Abstract: Example embodiments described in this disclosure are generally directed to systems and methods for preventing vehicular mishaps. In an example method, an object detector mounted on a building or a roadside fixture, detects an object in a detection coverage area of the object detector. The object is undetectable by a collision avoidance system of a vehicle. The object detector conveys information about the object to a supervisory computer. The information can include, for example, a location and/or a direction of travel of the object (if the object is moving). The supervisory computer evaluates the information and transmits an alert to the collision avoidance system of the vehicle, so as to prevent a collision between the vehicle and the object. In an example situation, where the object is a pedestrian, the supervisory computer may also transmit a warning alert to a personal communication device of the pedestrian.

Abstract: A channel driver circuit includes a differential module and a driver module. In some examples, the channel driver circuit also includes a sigma-delta module. The differential module receives, via a single node of a load, a channel driving signal that is provided to the load at the single node (e.g., that is based on an electrical characteristic of the load) and generates an analog error signal that is based on the channel driving signal and a reference signal. The driver module is coupled to the differential module and generates the channel driving signal based on the analog error signal or a digital error signal corresponding to the analog error signal and transmits the channel driving signal via the single node to the load. The channel driver circuit simultaneously transmits the channel driving signal to the load at the single node and senses the channel driving signal at the single node.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing a telemetry hub, and, more particularly, to methods, systems, and apparatuses for implementing a telemetry hub that obtains sensor data from a plurality of sources and that determines one or more first actions to take in response to receiving the first sensor data. In operation, a telemetry hub might receive first sensor data from one or more sensors. The telemetry hub may determine whether the first sensor data can be trusted and whether the first sensor data is valid. Based on a determination that the first sensor data can be trusted and is valid, the telemetry hub might analyze the first sensor data to determine one or more first actions to take. The telemetry hub might then implement the one or more first actions based at least in part on the analysis of the first sensor data.

Abstract: The disclosure generally pertains to systems and methods for assigning travel routes to vehicles. An example method may involve evaluating a first vehicle for deploying on a first travel route and a second vehicle for a second travel route. Evaluating the first vehicle may include determining a first probability that the first vehicle will need a first energy replenishment operation during deployment on the first travel route, and also determining a first deployment cost for the first vehicle. The first deployment cost can include a first energy replenishment cost based on the first probability. Evaluating the second vehicle may include determining a second deployment cost for the second vehicle, the second deployment cost including a second energy replenishment cost. The first vehicle is assigned to the first travel route and the second vehicle to the second travel route if the first deployment cost is less than the second deployment cost.
