Abstract: A method of tinting or coloring glass. The following layers are deposited onto the glass: a first dielectric layer, a subcritical metallic layer; a primer layer; and a second dielectric layer. Alternatively, these layers may be deposited onto the glass: a first dielectric layer, a subcritical metallic layer; and a second dielectric layer. Alternatively, the invention is a coated article that includes a substrate, a first dielectric layer, an absorbing layer, and a second dielectric layer over the primer layer. The absorbing layer can be Inconel, titanium nitride, cobalt chrome (stellite), or nickel chrome material, and has a thickness in the range of 50 ? to 150 ?.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing map data of a selected region and supplemental data associated with one or more locations outside of the selected region are disclosed. A computing system can initiate a request for map data associated with a selected region of a mapped region. The one or more requests can be associated with one or more search criteria. The computing system can receive the map data associated with the selected region and supplemental data associated with a subset of records. Each record may satisfy the one or more search criteria and be associated with a respected location outside of the selected region. The computing system can present, within a viewport of a digital mapping application, the map data of the selected region and a visual indication of the supplemental data associated with the subset of records.
Abstract: Aspects of the technology described herein provide a collaborative browsing experience in which real-time browsing activity and saved browsing activity of session collaborators in a collaborative browsing session are shared with the collaborators. A collaborative session may be initiated, which may create a tab group associated with the session and linked to a collaborator. Other collaborators may be invited to join the session, and additional tab groups for each collaborator may be created. The tab groups of the collaborators may be included in a collective tab group, which may be updated in real-time with changes made by any of the collaborators. For example, client changes may be handled locally and communicated to a service to which each client is connected. The service may sequence and broadcast the ordered changes to the clients, which may each implement the changes according to the sequence to synchronize a shared state amongst clients.

Abstract: A bypass plunger includes a unibody, or one-piece hollow body and valve cage, retains a dart valve within the valve cage portion using a threaded retaining nut secured by crimple detents, and includes sealable flow parts. A series of helical grooves surround the central portion of the outer surface of the hollow body of the plunger to control spin during descent. A canted-coil-spring disposed within the retaining nut functions as a clutch. The valve cage includes ports that may be configured to control flow through the plunger during descent. Other embodiments include clutch assemblies using canted-coil springs with split bobbins, and surfaced valve stems surfaced.
Abstract: A system and method for predicting a collision between a host vehicle and a target vehicle operating on a multi-lane roadway may include determining the host and target vehicles are converging from respective first and second lanes to a third lane intermediate the first and second lanes. A predetermined set of conditions is evaluated including relationships among the host and target vehicle separations and speeds, and a collision predicted based upon the evaluation.
Abstract: Systems and methods related to harvesting of the unused resources in a distributed computing system are described. An example method, in a system including a host server, having a first instruction set architecture (ISA), and an interface card, having a second ISA is provided. The method includes designating at least one type of resource, associated with the host server for harvesting by compute entities configured for execution using the processor having the second ISA, where the host server is configured to execute compute entities requiring execution by the processor having the first ISA. The method further includes in response to a request for accessing the at least one type of resource by a compute entity, executing on the processor having the second ISA, automatically allowing the compute entity to access the at least one type of resource associated with the host server.
Abstract: Described herein are embodiments of systems and methods for the removal of a direct drive unit (DDU) housed in an enclosure, such as a direct drive turbine (DDT) connected to a gearbox for driving a driveshaft connected to a pump for use in hydraulic fracturing operations.

Abstract: In response to detecting the failure of a data storage drive, a drive rebuild operation is performed. The drive rebuild operation is performed by periodically i) calculating a target rebuild rate that enables data previously stored on the failed data storage drive to be completely rebuilt on at least one other data storage drive within an expected drive rebuild time window, ii) calculating a new value for at least one drive rebuild parameter based on a value for the drive rebuild parameter corresponding to the target rebuild rate indicated by a static rebuild rate data structure and a current level of host I/O (Input/Output) activity, and iii) rebuilding the data previously stored on the failed data storage drive on the at least one other data storage drive for a predetermined time period with the at least one drive rebuild parameter set to the new value for the drive rebuild parameter.
Abstract: A reactor system configured for efficiently removing contaminants (CCR, nickel, vanadium, nitrogen, sodium, iron, calcium, chlorine etc.) from a heavy portion of the crude oil. The products are routed to a common main fractionation section. The heavy feed with lower contaminants may then be processed in a fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) unit, the overall concept employing a fluid catalytic reaction platform with carbon rejection approach. Also disclosed is a reactor system for efficiently processing crude oil in a fluid catalytic cracking unit with a dual-reactor and dual catalyst system to maximize petrochemical building blocks such as ethylene, propylene, butylenes, BTX (benzene, toluene and xylene) rich naphtha from a variety of crude oils.
