  • Patent number: 11405763
Abstract: A toll advertisement message is received, via a V2X transceiver of a vehicle, defining a metered zone in which tolls are charged. Input data indicative of a current position of the vehicle with respect to the metered zone is determined. A state machine is utilized to determine tolled roadway usage of the vehicle according to the metered zone and the current position. A toll usage message indicative of the tolled roadway usage is provided via the V2X transceiver.

  • Patent number: 11402223
Abstract: Systems and methods of generating scenic routes and safe parking locations near scenic points are provided. Based at least in part upon a driver indication of a preference for a scenic route from an origin location to a destination location, a mobile device application may generate a scenic route by selecting route segments between the origin location and the destination location associated with a large number of scenic points. Scenic points may be identified based at least in part upon historical driver telemetry data and POI data. For instance, if historical telemetry data indicates that a large number of drivers stop briefly at a location not known to be near a POI, that location may be a scenic location (e.g., a location where drivers frequently leave their vehicles to take photos). Additionally, safe parking locations near each scenic point may be identified based at least in part upon historical vehicle damage data, and navigation directions to safe parking locations may be provided.

  • Patent number: 11403817
Abstract: This specification describes systems and methods for refining point cloud data. Methods can include receiving point cloud data for a physical space, iteratively selecting points along an x, y, and z dimension, clustering the selected points into 2D histograms, determining a slope value for each 2D histogram, and removing, based on the slope value exceeding a predetermined value, points from the point cloud data. Methods can also include iteratively voxelizing each 2D histogram into predetermined mesh sizes, summating points in each voxelized 2D histogram, removing, based on determining the summation is below a predetermined sum value, points from the point cloud data, keeping, based on determining that a number of points in each voxelized 2D histogram exceeds a threshold value, a center point, selecting, for each histogram, a point, identifying, nearest neighbors in the point cloud data, removing the identified nearest neighbors from the data, and returning remaining points.

  • Patent number: 11404833
Abstract: An RF Connector and grounding device therefor comprises a driver, a contact ring and a spring clamp having a split ring washer disposed therebetween. The split ring washer interposes the driver on one side of the washer and the contact ring on the other side thereof and defines an aperture for receiving a prepared end of a coaxial cable. The washer is connected to one side of an annular ring while a shouldered flange is disposed on the opposing side of the ring. Upon delivering a compressive clamping force to a compression cap, the split ring washer is captured between adjacent peaks or corrugations of the outer conductor.

  • Patent number: 11405026
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems and methods of reducing the EMI effect generated by such analog blocks. By varying the clock frequency in time of oscillators used by such analog blocks, the EMI energy may be spread over a wide spectrum range thereby reducing the peak energy for the main frequency. To achieve this, the oscillator frequency is directly varied using analog mechanisms. The mechanisms may be based on a synchronized method for increasing/decreasing the current that is charging/discharging the oscillator capacitor. The frequency variation may be achieved by analog control of the extra charge/discharge current.

  • Patent number: 11403618
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for processing gift transactions. An example method includes receiving an identification of a first merchant from a giver at a first time, wherein a gift from the giver to a recipient is redeemable at the first merchant. The method can include generating a policy comprising the first merchant. The policy can be at least in part giver-defined and linked to the recipient payment account. The method can then include transmitting an electronic notice to a recipient device, receiving a selection from the recipient of a second merchant at which to redeem the gift from the giver, updating the policy to apply to the second merchant selected by the recipient to yield an updated policy and, upon receiving an indication of a triggering event caused by use of the recipient payment account as defined by the updated policy, applying an amount of money to the gift.

  • Patent number: 11402842
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for dynamically adjusting effective sensor coverage coordinates of a sensor used to assist in navigating an autonomous driving vehicle (ADV) in response to environmental conditions that may affect the ideal operation of the sensor. An ADV includes a navigation system and a safety monitor system that monitors some, or all, of the navigation system, including monitoring: dynamic adjustment of effective sensor coverage coordinates of a sensor and localization of the ADV within a high-definition map. The ADV safety monitor system further determines safety-critical objects surrounding the ADV, determines safe areas to navigate the ADV, and ensures that the ADV navigates only to safe areas. An automated system performance monitor determines whether to pass-through ADV navigation control commands, limit one or more control commands, or perform a fail-operational behavior, based on the ADV safety monitor systems.
