Abstract: A vacuum blending system may be used to blend solids, powders, and/or liquids (foodstuff) in an evacuated blender jar and/or evacuated enclosure to reduce or eliminate the air included in the resulting mixture. The vacuum blending system may be embodied as a vacuum lid adaptable for use with any of a wide variety of blending systems. In other embodiments, the vacuum blending system may be embodied as a blender with an integrated vacuum system. In still other embodiments, the vacuum blending system may be embodied as a vacuum pump, and optional vacuum tank, for use with a plurality off blender enclosures. Any of these vacuum blending systems may be used to produce blended foodstuff that has superior texture, offer increased nutritional benefit, and/or remain homogeneous for longer than the same foodstuff remains well-mixed when blended in a non-vacuum.

Each memory opening fill structure can include a vertical stack of memory elements and a vertical semiconductor channel. A plurality of source-side select gate electrodes can be laterally spaced apart by source-select-level dielectric isolation structures. Alternatively or additionally, the at least one source layer may include a plurality of source layers. A group of memory opening fill structures can be selected by selecting a source layer and/or by selecting a source-level electrically conductive layer.
Abstract: A parking brake apparatus is provided for a power unit having air brake parking components and to which a towed unit having air brake parking components can be connected. The parking brake apparatus comprises a controller arranged to monitor a pressure signal indicative of a delivery air pressure applied to the air brake parking components of the towed unit when the towed unit is connected to the power unit. The controller is also arranged to provide a status signal indicative of whether or not a towed unit is connected to the power unit based upon the pressure signal. The controller further enables the status signal to be processed to control application or release of any combination of air brake parking components of the power unit and the towed unit to park or unpark the power unit as well as the towed unit, if connected to the power unit.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for enabling gift interactions via social media. For example, a user can post to a social networking site in a particular way to establish a gift transfer to a recipient based on a policy, such that when the recipient makes a purchase using their pre-existing payment account, the gift (an amount of money) is transferred or applied to the recipient payment account. A particular structure or feature of a social network post can trigger the creation of the policy, with metadata or information parsed from the social network post providing additional details of the policy. In this way, a user can set up a gift transfer without interacting with a gift portal, application, or website. The recipient does not need to use any special code, separate physical gift cards, or printable coupons to redeem or use the gift.

Abstract: A multi-ply flushable wipe includes a ply having first and second exterior layers and a middle layer disposed therebetween. Each of the exterior layers includes at least 50% by weight natural fibers. When foam-formed, the middle layer includes at least 25% by weight natural fibers. In embodiments, the middle layer may include at least 75% by weight natural fibers. The middle layer also includes synthetic fibers that have a length within the range of 1 mm and 20 mm. The wipe may have a length weight weighted average fiber length of less than 4 mm and a wet CD strength of greater than 20 N/m. Each ply of the wipe may be formed by wetlaying the first and second exterior layers and a foam formed middle layer to form a web, imprinting the web with a structured fabric, and drying the web. The plies are then attached using a binder.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to managing visualizations of data. Visualizations that include one or more marks associated with values from a data source may be provided. A mark-of-interest may be determined from the one or more marks. Assessment models may be employed to generate assessment results for the assessment models based on the mark-of-interest and the data from the data source such that each assessment result may be associated with scores that may be based on a best fit to the data from the data source and a value of the mark-of-interest. The assessment results may be rank ordered based on their association with the scores. A report that includes the rank ordered list of the assessment results may be provided.

Abstract: A nanowire structure includes a substrate, a patterned mask layer on the substrate, and a nanowire. The patterned mask layer is on the substrate and includes an opening through which the substrate is exposed. The nanowire is on the substrate in the opening of the patterned mask layer. The nanowire includes a buffer layer on the substrate, a defect filtering layer on the buffer layer, and an active layer on the defect filtering layer. The defect filtering layer is a strained layer. By providing the defect filtering layer between the buffer layer and the active layer of the nanowire, defects present in the buffer layer can be prevented from propagating into the active layer. Accordingly, defects in the active layer of the nanowire are reduced, thereby improving the performance of the nanowire structure.

Abstract: A content item may be associated with a first metadata object comprising static data and dynamic data. The static data and dynamic data may be stored in memory. Based on a request for the content item, the static and dynamic data may be retrieved, and may be used to cause output of a second metadata object.
Abstract: Described is a system for network threat detection. The system identifies a targeted sub-network representing a threat within a multi-layer network having members. The targeted sub-network is identified with differential privacy protection, such that privacy of individuals that are not in the targeted sub-network is protected. The system causes an action to be generated, the action being one of generating an alert of a threat, initiating monitoring of the non-benign persons, or disabling network access of the non-benign persons.

Specifically, the sound and vibration damping system includes an elastomeric layer prepared from a low density butyl based composition and a constraining layer. The low density butyl based composition comprises at least one polybutene, at least one butyl rubber and light weight fillers. The sound and vibration damping system of the present disclosure has a specific gravity less than 1.0 and a loss factor of not more than 0.4 at 20° F., 40° F. and 70° F. for frequencies of 200 Hz, 400 Hz and 800 Hz.
Abstract: A multi-spiral, self-expanding stent is constructed from superposed individual spiral strands. Each spiral strand comprises a terminal bend that separates the strand into a first portion and a second portion. Particularly, the first portion of each strand bends in a first spiral direction to the terminal bend, and the second portion bends in the opposite direction after the terminal bend. Advantageously, the disclosed stent is able to change its shape, diameter, and length to accommodate the corresponding shape, diameter, and length of patient's diseased vessel.
Abstract: An X-ray detector is provided. The X-ray detector includes multiple detector sub-modules. Each detector sub-module includes a semiconductor layer and multiple detector elements. A first detector element of the multiple detector elements includes a first electrode disposed on a first doped implant and a second detector element of the multiple detector elements includes a second electrode disposed on a second doped implant. The first and second detector elements are disposed on the semiconductor layer adjacent to each other with a gap therebetween. Each detector sub-module also includes wiring traces extending from one or more detector elements of the multiple detector elements to readout circuitry. The wiring traces are routed within the gap between the first and second electrodes. The first doped implant extends underneath a portion of the wiring traces is configured to shield the wiring traces from electrical activity occurring underneath due to absorption of an X-ray.
Abstract: A method to prepare, pulp, and bleach cannabis bast and hurd fibers to allow for the fiber to be incorporated into absorbent cellulosic structures on a wet-laid paper machine while keeping the pectin within the fibers. The wet laid paper machine can use the ATMOS, NTT, ETAD, TAD, or UCTAD method to produce the absorbent cellulosic structure. Absorbent cellulosic structures are produced with the cannabis bast and hurd fibers or with the bast fibers alone with the hurd fibers being combined with paper mill sludge or dust to form a fuel pellet.

Abstract: A plurality of content streams each including audio, video, or audio-video content may be transmitted to a plurality of premises. In addition, one or more command streams may be transmitted over a distribution network. Premises automation commands may then be sent to one or more systems based on a user selection associated with a corresponding command stream. The premises automation commands may be configured to instruct a system at a premises to perform a function. The commands may, for example, instruct a lighting system to turn on/off lights, a security system to enter an arm or disarm operational state, a thermostat to adjust its temperature, etc.
